Ep 73: Why Some Good Advice Could Be Bad Advice For You | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:13:40

As we all know, often too much of a good thing can turn bad. Lately, I've noticed this with a lot of the information out there on Instagram. There's so much of it and it's typically good information but that doesn't mean it's good for YOU and YOUR GOALS. My goal with this episode is to get you to put everything into context before you take what people say as common law. If your issue is putting on muscle and gaining weight... all the posts on how to cut calories probably aren't great information for you. Doesn't mean they aren't useful. Just not really for YOU! And that's what I want more people to stop and think about. Think, "where am I at in my journey?", "what is my goal?", and "how does this piece of information help me get there?" Hope this helps!

I've been to Texas to see Onnit and what Sam does and let's be real... HE'S GOT ONE OF THE DOPEST JOBS AND WORKS AT ONE OF THE DOPEST COMPANIES! But the best part about this episode is you hear how he freakin earned that role and the journey it took to get there. You also hear the other side of the fitness industry that not many people talk about. Like "if you spend all this time training other people and flying around doing it, how do you find the time to do it yourself?" Whether you're in fitness or not, if you work a demanding job, you'll appreciate this one! IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS: -Sam's 9 year journey to getting where he's at -Some of Sam's easy wins for traveling and staying in shape -How to have a more open mind when it comes to fitness -Why you should also be focusing on recovery work in your training More from Sam: @spogue86 @thefitnessbreakroom

I mean come on, you know all the diets out there. You know how to be active. All the information is out there! A lot of us simply don't believe we can put it all together and make it happen. We all know what to do when we get injured, right? Go see a Physical Therapist and start the rehab process. This weeks guest, Arash Maghsoodi, one of three Doctors of Physical Therapy that started the Prehab Guys back in 2016. Their goal was simply to provide people with preventative movements that they could do to keep their bodies healthy.  Ep 67: Why There Is No "End Goal" With Your Health | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:07:58

So many of us are focused on that "goal body weight" or the "end" of their diet. In reality, this health stuff doesn't have an end goal. The only end goal you should be focused on is figuring out how to enjoy the journey. You do that and you've won. Think about it, if you lose all this weight on some super restrictive diet, what are you going to do when you reach your goal? You gonna live the rest of your life like that? No way. Why not figure out what's sustainable? Hopefully this episode can help you change your mindset with that!

Doesn't it seem like there's a little TOO much information out there when it comes to your health? Sheesh man, surf the web for an hour and it will turn you into a carb hating, vegan, who also hates vegetables. And then we just don't eat. There's too much stuff out there! So, today I wanted to break down the 5 things you should really care about when it comes to your nutrition. Really concentrate on these things and block every thing else out. I promise you will be ok! Actually, better than ok. You'll be where you WANT to be. Hope this helps!

Ep 63: Learning to Accept Yourself and Your Journey | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:14:42

Something that I think is largely overlooked in the health and fitness space is learning to accept yourself and knowing that you're good enough. I see so many people in this space taking steroids and doing stupid stuff... all for what? To get some bigger muscles? I'm sure anyone whose done anything dumb like that will tell you now, they wish they would've just learned to accept themselves in the moment and kept working. And this isn't to say that you cant change where you're at. I think people get it confused sometimes, like they should settle for being overweight. Thats not what this is. It's about putting in the work and being ok with the results. In this episode I wanted to give you a few pieces of advice on how to learn to accept yourself! I hope it helps because you ARE enough!

Ep 62: Sarah Duff- Ditching The Extremes and Finding The Happy Medium With Your Health | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:22:42

Have you ever felt like this whole fitness thing is kind of out of reach? Like you could NEVER live like one of those shredded bodybuilders out there? Well there's good news... YOU DON'T HAVE TO! This week's guest, Sarah Duff, and I were on the same page with this and it's probably why we talked so long lol. Plus she's just freakin hilarious. Really though, Sarah made some incredible points about how all we are used to seeing when we think "fitness" is the ripped fitness models. No one is really out there showing anyone the middle-ground happy place! That's where Sarah and I come in. Because in all honesty, no one NEEDS to be shredded like those fitness models. Our bodies weren't even made for that. So, if you've ever wondered how to feel and look better without all that crazy stuff, this episode is for you!
