Listen to my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn when, why, and how to say no to doing business with those who don't share your values. --- Saying no is one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do. “The art of money making is not what you say yes to, I think it starts with what you say no to.” — The Likability Factor Life is too short to do business with people you don’t like. Do you wake up every day passionate about working with your co-workers and clients? When you don’t have a values match with those you do business with you have to work a lot harder to be successful. — When should you say no? You should say no if you have doubt. You should say no after you’ve engaged, but have a change of heart. You should never modify your business to do business with someone that doesn’t match your values. — The time between giving up on a relationship and when we finally do something about it is an expensive time. Keeping an employee around that you’ve lost faith in is expensive. Doing business with a borrower that is marginal will get expensive. — You have to have chemistry with those you work with and do business with. There’s no downside to waiting. Top Producers say no and have the ability to not worry about the ramifications of a no because they’re more concerned about the implications of a yes. --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

You need to know how your competition represents and influences clients. Learn how to differentiate yourself by distancing When you differentiate yourself from the normal way of doing business that is unsuccessful, you win more easily and more fluidly, with less transactional friction. — The healthiest way for your to approach your business is by running your own race and not comparing yourself to your competition. The only comparison you should have is against your own internal competitor. Learn how to be your best by not allowing others to set the bar for you. — “The competitor to be feared is the one who never bothers about you at all, but goes on making his own business better all the time.” - Henry Ford Your business will suffer if you try to copy someone else, but if you commit to being your best you will be amazed at how much better your business and life will be. — Three Rules of Competitive Thinking 1. Go where you competition doesn’t go. 2. Do what your competition doesn’t do. 3. Say what your competition doesn’t say.  4 Steps to a High Trust Sales Strategy: 8 Habits of the Top 10% | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:08:13

Selling is a process! Learn the 4 Steps to create a High Trust Sales Strategy that will ease your clients into a relationship with you, increase your conversion, and create borrowers for life. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Selling is a process. It starts with deciding who you want to do business with and getting them excited about doing business with you. You get clients excited about doing business with you by knowing how to package yourself in the marketplace. No matter what industry you are in, you have to be unique and disrupt your market to differentiate yourself from the competition. — You disrupt your industry by creating trust through attraction. You gain your customer’s trust by asking the right questions. You distance yourself from your competition by going deeper with your clients and learning things that they will never know so you can strategically add value. Once you’ve added value through learning your clients needs you can ask for their business to bring your sales solutions alive. — E.A.S.E. 1. The Approach: Ease Clients into a Relationship We want to ease our clients into doing business with us. 2. The Interview: Ask Strategic Questions Strategic interviewing is about asking the right kind of questions 3. The Solution: Provide Solutions What you are able to do for the client based on the interview. 4. Asking for the Business: Engage the Client This is where you put all of the prior points together to take action. — When you ease people into a business partnership you increase conversion, because you increase respect, you’ve shown empathy, you have a positive attitude, and you make everything about the client where they feel your love. When you know what to do, you do it better. When you don’t know what to do, you wing it, and making your strategy up as you go is not a habit of the top 10%. --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Strategic Interviewing & Active Listening: 8 Habits of the Top 10% | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:02:18

Do you want to exceed your client's expectations and remove your competition from the conversation? Listen to my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn how to deepen your relationships by asking strategic questions and providing reliable solutions by actively listening to your client’s needs. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Do you think about the power of your questions? A great question is the most powerful force in any conversation. We need to do a good job thinking through what questions we’re going to ask, why am I going to ask those questions, and what is my intent of finding out the answer. — We need to be active listeners. Active listening is difficult for salespeople because they love to promote and solve problems. We must be active listeners to create a bond and a connection. “I like to listen. I’ve learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen.” - Ernest Hemingway Listening is to provide an action you should take. If you don’t understand that listening is to provide an action that you should take, then you miss the opportunity to solve. — The value of being in the sales business is that your solutions should be custom tailored. If you’re not asking strategic questions and actively listening for opportunities, then any solution you offer is random, and your client will probably not be receptive because they won’t believe that you heard what they had to say. “…seek first to understand before you seek to be understood.” - Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People — When you ask strategic questions, you need to make sure you’re addressing issues that are important to the other person that have actions that you can take based on their answers. If you are deepening your relationships by asking strategic questions and providing robust solutions by actively listening to the answers you are going to exceed your client’s expectations and completely remove your competition from the conversation. --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Keeping Stress Under Control: 8 Habits of the Top 10% | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:08:49

Is stress robbing you of a fulfilling life? Watch my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn the habits that will allow you to turn stressful situations into breakthrough moments that can revolutionize your business and your life. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- We’re in a stressful business. Helping people make the largest financial decisions of their life is stressful. We need to understand the basics around stress management if we are to learn how to control it. — Don’t create unnecessary stress. Stress often comes from unfinished things we’ve started. One thing thinking is doing one thing at a time and taking it to the finish line. We want to avoid creating loose ends. — “The mind of a master will do more than both of his hands.” - Benjamin Franklin We have to be thought oriented by observing and identifying what works and what doesn’t work in our business and our life. — Having a simplistic and consistent approach to our work alleviates stress. Creating value in the market allows us to simplify our approach to our business. Simplicity leads to momentum and confidence and allows us to observe our process with mindfulness. Simplifying our business allows us to focus on fewer tasks that have a higher impact on our business. — Stress occurs when something is missing from our business and life. Every moment of stress can actually be a moment of breakthrough. — Change your perception on what’s causing stress in your life and use it as an opportunity to create positive change. By keeping our stress under control we can create a business and life that is thriving and fulfilling. --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Efficient Time Management: 8 Habits of the Top 10% | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:14:40

Time is our most precious gift. Listen to my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn how to efficiently block interrupters, make prioritization a daily routine, and master your craft with confidence and efficiency. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- It is impossible to manage time. Time is static and you can’t control a measurement. Until you have mastered time management, you must continue learning and applying best practices. — Research from Fast Company Magazines says “The Highest performing 10% of workers didn’t work full 8 hour days, and they took 17 minutes for every 52 minutes of focused work.” There is a major difference between time blocking and blocking time. Time blocking can be frustrating at a basic level because it doesn’t address the root issue. — The root issue is, what is getting in your way from what you have time blocked? Time blocking allows you to physically block interrupters. If you don’t “block” your time, you’ll focus on the interrupters. — Multi-tasking cannot be done. The brain can only think about one thing at a time. — The Cone of Silence doesn’t allow anything to interrupt a block of time ordained for one or two tasks. Referring back to the Fast Company research, the 52 minutes can be focused on what is time blocked, and the 17 minutes in-between can be used to handle interrupters. We have to pay attention to the interrupters because they are the dominators. If you don’t identify and figure out how to handle the interrupters, time blocking will never work. — Prioritization is the key to improving your end result and maximizing every minute of your time. “You can either prioritize your schedule or you can schedule your priorities.” - Stephen Covey Prioritization is the most important factor when it comes to productivity. We must prioritize the essentials. The longer a priority is ignored, the more it will become a priority. — The top 10% focus on mastery first, and consistency second. Mastery yields confidence and efficiency. If you can confidently do something efficiently, then you get the power to be consistent, which produces what you want quicker. — To manage your time efficiently you must be a blocker of interruptions, make prioritization a daily discipline, and master your skill to become confident and efficient. --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

When Should You Change? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:19:37

One change can change everything. Watch my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn how to approach change in a way that will allow you to remain relevant and future-proof your business. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Nothing changes until something changes. Change often happens because you have to change or you want to change. We need to be proactive with change. The less open you are to change the more change will become a mandate for you in your business and your life. --- Are you proactively thinking about change or are you wondering what changes are going to be thrown at you? Do you view change positively or negatively? We don't like change because we get comfortable. --- One change can change everything. What is your one change that could change everything in your life? We need to view change in a positive and necessary way. When we become resistant to change we get left behind. --- The Sigmoid Curve is a representation of time and activity. It begins with a growth curve, plateaus, and ultimately declines. When we are not open to change we begin to fall behind. We need to change to be relevant, to add value, and disrupt. --- There is a fear of change when things are going well. We have to initiate a new growth curve while things are good to prevent from being forced to change when things are bad. --- Lag is the time between change occurring and a new idea taking flight. When decide to change on our own terms it allows us to prepare for times of lag. The most powerful thing about changing before you have to is that you can create a new growth curve before you begin to decline. If you do not create a new growth curve in your business and your life, you will ultimately die. --- If you are not an early adopter, and a late follower, it may be too late. The reason why you do not want to change late is because the lag time when you're declining is 5 to 10 times longer than it would be if you had changed earlier. When we wait too long we lose opportunities, clients, and potentially our companies. --- In the world that we're in right now, everything is changing, it's easy to fall behind. Business is always changing and we can't be ignorant in the shifts of how it's being done. We must be constantly embracing change to remain relevant and future-proof our business. --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Value is Everything | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:10:54

Value is everything! Watch my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn the three keys of value that will define you, differentiate you, and develop you in such a way that it will eliminate your competition and lead you to a life of purpose. --- There are three areas of life that impacted by our commitment to value: 1. How we define ourselves 2. How we differentiate ourselves 3. How we are developed as a human being --- Value defines you. When you don't feel strong about the value that you are bringing you are less confident and fearful which creates call reluctance. When you define yourself with rich value you develop confidence that makes you act differently in the market. When you know that you are a person of value, you operate differently. --- Value differentiates you. "If you don't want competition do what they don't, go where they aren't, and say what they won't say." If you don't want competition you must make yourself really valuable. When value defines you, you wake up each day with a sense of purpose about what you do, how you do it, and with whom you do it. Value removes fear because it puts you in high demand. When you add value you eliminate competition. --- Value develops you. When you commit to value you commit to learning faster than your competition. Value is a leveraging tool for conversion. If you can give a client an experience that changes their life, you essentially won't have competition. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Confidence Instead of Fear | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:09:28

Do the changes in the industry have you worried? Watch my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and learn how to replace fear with faith to gain confidence. --- On the other side of fear is faith. Faith is a conviction and confidence that what you want to happen will happen. The difference between being fearful and faithful is not taking and letting fear mount versus taking action and chopping fear down. --- The strategy for eliminating fear is preparedness and value. When you're prepared and adding value you shouldn't be afraid. --- When facing change you either have to change ahead of the mandate of change or you will get left behind. --- "It's never the market that dictates your success. It's how you execute in the market you're in." "When everybody thinks things are negative, if you adopt a positive approach, you have little if any competition." You have to choose to be positive. --- Regardless of the market, we exist to be prepared and add value to the borrower. If we're prepared and add value, the market will cooperate with us. If we're not prepared and don't add value then the market distances itself from us. --- Where are you not prepared? If you're feeling like your falling behind, then you need to sharpen your skills. How are you sharpening your skills? When your skills increase, your confidence increases, your faith increases, and your fear dissipates. --- In a down market you can either add value or cut price. If all you focus on is value creation, you are dissipating the need for price. When you're adding value then you can charge what you're worth. The key to value is based upon the dialogue you have with your customer. The more you can uncover about what's important to them allows you to create more value for them. --- When we commit ourselves to being prepared and adding value then we should not have fear for our future. --- Attend Sales Mastery 2018 | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Do You Have Essence? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:12:41

Do you have an essence match in your relationships? Listen and learn the two components that will make or break your relationships. --- All relationships have two parts: Form and Essence. Form is how you manage a relationship. All relationships have to be managed. Some more than others, especially if it’s a relationship where there is daily interaction. The second part of a relationship is essence. Natural essence is when you don’t have to work on the relationship because of shared beliefs. Shared beliefs in a relationship create an essence match. — If your relationship is missing essence it is unsustainable. Not every relationship is perfect, but we should gravitate towards relationships that work effortlessly. The best marriages and business partnerships have speed bumps, but the difference between a form-based relationship and an essence-based relationship, is how you approach the speed bumps. When your relationships are essence-based there is a will to win together. You cannot manufacture essence. — “If two people people want to do business together the details won’t get in the way. If two people don’t want to do business together the details will never make it happen.” - Tony Allesandra Sometimes relationships don’t work out and that’s okay. “There’s enough people who will do business the way that you actually want to do business that you don’t ever have to worry about those that don’t want to do business the way you want to do it.” - Jim Rohn The only way you can do business with someone who wants to do business your way is if you have the same business values. If you don’t share the same business values with a business partner then you’re going to spend all of your time trying to manage the relationship and never accomplish your goals. When relationships aren’t being productive they can turn destructive. — People are addicted to drama. When you have an essence match with someone you might have speed bumps, but you won’t have drama. Essence allows you to navigate speed bumps. — The most expensive time in your life is the time between when you give up on a relationship and when you decide to do something about it. It’s a travesty how long we will stay in a relationship that is not working. A relationship without essence will bring us to emotional, intellectual, and sometimes, financial poverty. — Make your dreams come true by working with people that inspire you, promote you, build your dreams up, and match your essence. --- Sales Mastery Event | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical

Disruption is Your Friend | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:17:49

Are you resisting change? Watch my latest episode of Todd Duncan TV and discover how you must disrupt your own thinking before you can disrupt your industry. --- The future is coming are you ready? There’s nothing you can do to stop the future. When it arrives, will you be ready? — What does disruption look like and how can we own it? Be the change. Own the change. Live the change. Everybody has the same opportunities to make decisions around change. We need to relinquish our resistance to change. If today was like yesterday there’d be no tomorrow. If there’s no change, tomorrow can’t be a better day. — What about today… …didn’t work. …needs to change. …do I need a do over on. Be your own disruptor. — The most important idea behind disruption is that you have to disrupt your own inefficiencies. You have to be disruptive in your own life to create better opportunities for your future. The game is changing. You have to change before you become obsolete. Be an early adopter of change. When you become an early adopter you’re a step ahead of change and have more opportunity available to you. What are the changes you want in your business and your life? — If you don’t want competition… …do what they won’t. …go where they aren’t. …say what they won’t. — The biggest component of the mortgage industry is still human connection. Sometimes you can go forward by going backwards. The number one preferred way to receive communication is person-to-person, not an automated email. Sometimes disruption doesn’t feel disruptive. — The human factor is going to drive the future. You cannot automate… …a handshake. …a feeling of care. …eye contact. …the power of a phone call. You cannot dehumanize an experience and expect to be successful. — How can you create a disruption through human connection? You have to be where the end user is. Where can you go that technology can’t to bring value back to your market. Don’t hide behind technology. We have to have human connection. Statistics prove that people want a human guide on the big decisions in life. You can’t fake connection. We have to deepen the dialogue. Technology cannot replace the human soul. — One thing can change everything. What do you want to change today that happened yesterday? You have to disrupt yourself before you can disrupt your industry. Connection and trust is the ultimate disruption in business. --- Sales Mastery Event | October 10-13, 2018 | San Diego, CA Register for the Sales Mastery Event: http://salesmasteryevent.com --- Learn more about Todd Duncan: http://toddduncan.com Learn more about the High Trust Company: http://hightrust.com --- Download Todd's FREE High Trust Business Builder Kit: http://bit.ly/2DuoqKJ Sign up for High Trust Coaching: http://hightrustcoaching.com/ Attend Todd Duncan Events: http://hightrust.com/about-us/live-events/ Sign up for Todd's Newsletter: http://toddduncan.com/subscribe --- Connect with Todd on Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ToddDuncanOfficial/ Twitter - http://twitter.com/toddstweets Instagram - http://instagram.com/toddduncanofficial Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddduncanoffical
