Dragon Castle: a bedtime meditation and story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:00

It's time for a return visit to the beach. Dragon notices Paula Penguin needs a new home and makes her a dragon castle, with a little help from Benji the bucket. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:13 Narrator: Female Dragon Castle Excerpt: Scanning the warm stretch of sand to see if anyone was there, the careful dragon landed.  Squishy warm sand hugged the dragon’s feet.  The dragon walked slowly, looking for Benji the bucket.  Noticing a bit of blue sticking out of the sand, the dragon hurried over and pulled Benji out. “Oh good you’re back.”  The bucket said.  “I can show you how to make a sand castle.” The dragon smiled wide and nodded. “Ok, you need sand, water, and me.”  The bucket said smiling.   “Carry me over to the water.  We’ll get that first.” Again the dragon nodded, and carried Benji down to the waves.  The water rolled in and out, splashing and tickling the dragon’s feet with sea foam.  The dragon dipped the bucket into the water and filled Benji to the brim.  He carried Benji to a cozy spot in the sun and poured the water onto the sand. Today’s Meditation: Relax in the grass as you imagine sunlight warming you from head to toe. Looking for stories with positive learning moments for your little one?  You'll find it on Ahway Island®. Slowly, the door rolled up above the little tow truck, and the driver ran in. “Are you ready to give some people a hand?”  The driver asked.  Toby took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath) to clear his mind and focus.  Then he rumbled a “Yes!” as the driver turned the key. “OK, let’s go.” The driver said. I’m Trudy.”  She said. “I’m Bing. Is this your garage?”  The bicycle said. “Oh, no.  Sand Dragon: a calming story and meditation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:01

Dragon is ready to relax and heads to the beach. The cozy sand invites Dragon to burrow in until there appeared to be a sand dragon lying on the beach. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:04 Narrator: Female Sand Dragon Excerpt: Spreading wings wide to catch the breeze, the dragon rose above the train tracks, and waited for the sparkling train to roll by.  Then the dragon followed the train.  As they reached the warm beach, it seemed to call to the dragon.  Poof, a cloud of sand surrounded the dragon and then began to sink back to the earth as the dragon gently landed.  The sand felt so warm. With eyes closed, the relaxed dragon lied down and rolled over, enjoying the hug from the earth.  The dragon heard a giggle and a laugh and peeked to see who it was.  It was Benji the sand bucket and Paula Penguin.  They had watched the dragon roll over and found it quite amusing.  Still upside down, the dragon took a deep breath in and out. and created a smiley face in fire to say hello. Paula and Benji said, “We’re glad to see you again, too!”  The dragon smiled a big smile and rolled back over. Paula said “The sand is nice and warm tonight, isn’t it?” and dug herself a cozy hole to nestle into.  The dragon tilted its head to the side, puzzled at what the little penguin was doing.  Berry Fun: a short story and meditation for kids | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 21:16

Allie and Andy are excited to go berry picking. Although they're just getting to know each other they're sure to have a berry fun day! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 11:09 Narrator: Male Berry Fun Excerpt: When Andy and his dad reached Allie’s house, she bounded out of the front door with her dad following behind.  While Andy and Allie’s dads talked for a bit Allie said, “Thanks for inviting me!  I’ve never been berry picking before.” “You’re welcome.”  Andy said, smiling.   “This is my first time too.  I guess we’ll figure it out together.” She hopped into the car and said, “You know I really enjoyed playing that Sardines game you taught us.” “Thanks. I’m glad you liked it. Oh look! There’s the brand new train!” Andy said, excitedly pointing out the window. “Isn’t it cool!” Allie said.  “Do you know why it’s sparkling?  That’s the solar paint they used.  I think it’s awesome that the train moves with energy from the sun!  Don’t you?” Andy felt surprised, then excited.  Allie understood solar power, and she liked trains.  He smiled and said, “Yeah, it’s pretty neat.  I like how the solar energy powers the motors and then the magnets inside the track and pulls the train forward or backward, wherever it needs to go.  It’s so quiet too!  Listen!”  Both Allie and Andy listened and could just make out a gentle hum as the train passed them by.  Off Road Oops: a mindful story and guided relaxation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:14

On a snowy day as Sidney the snow plow clears the slippery roads, he slides right off and into a ditch. A tow truck arrives to help Sidney with his off road oops. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: Male Narrator "Off Road Oops" Story Excerpt: The snow was falling quickly.  Sidney the Snow Plow peered out into the night, searching for the road.  His headlights reflected off the white flakes.  All he could see was snow.  The little plow had been working hard all day to keep the streets clear, and he was feeling quite tired.  Even though he couldn’t see very well, Sidney decided to drive a little faster.  After all, the faster he drove, the faster he would be back home and in his garage, right?  As he picked up speed, Sidney noticed the road felt more slippery.  Oh well, he could handle it. He was a snow plow.  So Sidney kept moving. The snow, flew off of the plow and onto the side of the road.  The little snow plow wondered why he hadn’t thought of this sooner.  He looked back in the mirror and noticed that there were some spots of snow on the road behind him.  He wasn’t getting all the snow off the road at this speed. But, most of the road was clear, so Sidney decided to keep moving. The snow filled the air in front of him, and it became more difficult for the plow to stay steady on the road.  Still Sidney kept his speed up. Suddenly, the road felt really slippery, and Sidney’s tires couldn’t hold on.  He slid right off the road and into a ditch.  Teddy Bear Bounce: a bedtime story and meditation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:29

In Teddy Bear Bounce, Takoda the teddy bear celebrates a birthday. In all the excitement he is left in a bouncy castle. Will he be found in time for cake? Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Snowed Statues” this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Teddy Bear Bounce,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:29 Narrator: Male Teddy Bear Bounce Excerpt: The snuggly teddy bear relaxed on the cozy bed, waiting for his boy.  Takoda listened carefully.  New and different sounds drifted up the stairs and into the room.  The little teddy bear wondered what was going on.  Just then the little boy burst into the room exclaiming “Come on Takoda! You’ve got to see this!” and just like that he whisked the teddy bear off of the bed. Takoda watched carefully for the source of so much excitement. As he reached the downstairs, the teddy bear saw brightly colored balloons of every color, a cake, and there was something new outside too.  The little bear was unsure of what that was. Takoda smiled as he realized that today was the boy’s birthday.  No wonder he was so excited. Today's Meditation: Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.
