Doctor Mia: a kid’s bedtime, nap time story and relaxation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:54

Today’s story was written to fulfill an Ahway Islander’s request for a story about a pediatrician. Mia and Max are feeling tired and stuffy today. Feeling worried mom and dad call the doctor. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:46 Narrator: Female Doctor Mia Excerpt: Dad came into the room with a cheerful, “Good morning!” He took a look at his usually upbeat children, and saw they were slouched and bundled up. They both looked at him and replied, “good morning,” with a couple of weak smiles followed by a chorus of sneezing and coughing. Feeling a little worried, he walked over to Mia and gently felt her forehead. Then he put the back of his hand on Max’s forehead. Both kids felt hot. Dad picked up his phone and began dialing. “Who are you calling?” Max asked. “Your pediatrician.” Dad replied. “I think you are sick.” “Oh no.” Mia said, eyes wide. “I don’t need the doctor I’m fine.” She stood up quickly, and then, feeling a little dizzy, sat right back down. “I’m fine too.” Max said. Mom popped into the room and said, “You both need to go to the doctor. I’m calling your school to tell them you’re sick.” Today’s Meditation: Rest among the twinkling stars with today's meditation.  Jungle Voyage: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:26

Today, with the power of imagination, the kids take Chance the cardboard box on a jungle voyage. What animals will they see? Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:30 Narrator: Male Jungle Voyage Excerpt: With that the little girl piloted the cardboard box up off of the carpet. Chance hovered as their imaginations erased the ceiling. Then up, up, up they went, straight through the grey clouds without a drop of rain touching them. The girl watched for lush trees and plants through the openings in the clouds. Soon she saw something promising and piloted the cardboard helicopter down towards the ground. As Chance descended through the tree canopy, he saw a river directly below him. As soon as the cardboard box touched the river the twinkling rotor retracted and Chance transformed into a boat. Now it was the boy’s turn to captain the ship. The boy steered the cardboard boat along the gently flowing river. He pointed out a large log floating in the river. As they moved closer to it, the boy noticed the log was smiling.  Splashes and Smiles: a kids’ relaxation and story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:35

Wade the inner tube splashes and smiles as he plays on the lazy river and even tries the water slide with a new friend. How will he like it? Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Pirate Queen” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Splashes and Smiles and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 11:06 Narrator: Male Splashes and Smiles Excerpt: Wade wondered what would happen next.  Then the boy carried the raft right over to the water slide.  And this is what Wade was most worried about.  Up, up, up, they went.  The worried raft noticed all the twists and bends in the slide.  As they waited in line Wade took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath) and told himself everything would be fine.  After all, he had worried about both waterfalls on the lazy river, and both were completely safe, and a bit fun.  He liked hearing the boy laugh, and judging from the look on the boy’s face this slide would make him laugh a lot.  As a result, the raft was feeling much better as he reached the top of the slide. Now He knew everything would be fine.  They would follow the rules, and have fun. The boy set the raft down at the top of the slide, sat on top, and waited for the lifeguard to say it was OK to go.  Then the little boy held on tight. Wade slid from side to side, back and forth, splashing through the water on the slide.  With each turn the raft glided up the side of the slide, and then back down.  The boy was laughing now.  Finally, they reached the straight  part of the slide, slipping down into the water. Wade landed with a splash!  The boy laughed and laughed, and the raft smiled.  It had been fun.  There was nothing to worry about. Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Batty Dragon” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Hello!” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:36 Narrator: Male Hello! Excerpt: It was time for a break in the shade. Tanner knew where to go, his favorite spot under the ferns.  There was enough shade there to cool off, with a little bit of sunlight filtering through the airy leaves.  So, off Tanner hop, hop, hopped over to the ferns.  When he got there, he saw another toad in his spot, facing away.  Tanner hadn’t seen this toad before, and became excited.  Maybe he would make a new friend!  Eagerly the little toad hopped over to the fern and said, “Hi! I’m Tanner!”  The other toad stayed in place with his back to Tanner.  Tanner felt sad the toad was ignoring him and then annoyed.  Why did this toad think he could sit in Tanner’s favorite spot and then ignore him.  That was just rude.  Tanner decided he would tell the other toad how he felt, when suddenly there was a big rumbling sound. A truck drove by on the street. It was so loud, that it hurt Tanner’s head.  He held a big leaf over his head to block the noise and watched the truck go by.  Tanner felt relieved after the loud noise rumbled away, and sighed.  Then he looked back at the other toad, who was still facing the other direction.  Now Tanner was puzzled.  That was a really loud noise, why hadn’t the other toad even looked?  Could the other toad hear it?  Batty Dragon: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:04

Dragon notices something zipping across the night sky. The little bat invites Dragon for a snack and our batty dragon zig-zags along. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 5:34 Narrator: Male Batty Dragon Excerpt: In the fading sunlight a dark shape zipped around against the sky. The shape quickly flew one way and then another, zig-zagging across the field. Dragon wondered what it could be. As the sky darkened and Dragon lost track of the zig-zagging shape. Soon the stars and moon sparkled brightly above. Dragon walked along staring up at the twinkling sky with a smile of contentment. Occasionally something covered up a few stars here, a few stars there. Then, as Dragon wondered what was blocking the stars, something zipped right up to Dragon’s nose and hovered in front. “Oh, hi! I’m Bertie.” Dragon heard the little bat say, wings flapping. Dragon smiled and nodded. Today’s Meditation: Gently sway like the graceful willow tree in today's meditation.  The Twinkling Sky: a mindful children’s story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:29

Anna watches the twinkling sky thinking she is star gazing. Anna watches with curiosity as some of the lights flash and move around. What are they? Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Curious Island” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “The Twinkling Sky” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:12 Narrator: Female The Twinkling Sky Excerpt: Anna lied on her back in the grass watching the sky.  As the night fell, the moon glowed and the stars twinkled their hello.  The little girl took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath), full of wonder at the beauty unfolding in the sky above her.  Then she saw it.  A blinking yellow light hovered in the sky above her.  Anna wondered what it was.  She watched as the blinking yellow light whirled around, dancing on the breeze, and then up into the branches of the willow tree.  Anna hoped that the light would come back. After a moment of watching the willow’s branches gently sway, back and forth, back and forth, Anna looked back up at the moon.  It was a perfect circle tonight, and bright white.  Then it happened again.  A yellow blinking light hovered above her.  Wait, there were two, no three.  More and more blinking yellow lights filled the sky, circling each other and dancing.  Now Anna sat up.  What were they?  She waved her hand in the air and the lights gracefully moved away. Anna stood up.  Little yellow lights blinked around her.  She decided to catch one.  Maybe then she would find out what it was.  Anna gently moved her hands, and scooped a light out of the air, quickly covering it with her other hand.  Slowly she opened her hands to peek inside.  There was a little black and red bug with black wings resting on Anna’s palm.  It looked up at her inquisitively.  Anna had never seen anything like it.  She closed her hands and ran to her parents. Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:28 Narrator: Female Curious Island Excerpt: The sky was brighter than Dali had ever seen. It’s deep blue nearly matched the color of the sea. The toy plane waited patiently on the ground for her instructions. As the message streamed in, Dali smiled. She was going to fly over the island at sunset.
