 198. BCAI: Trucks and Trees: a kids’ mindful tale and relaxation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:42

As Dragon walks through the forest some new sounds echo. What is going on? Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Trucks and Trees” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Narrator: Female Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:00 Trucks and Trees Show Excerpt: The sun slowly climbed above the enchanted forest, gently waking all the animals. The dragon smiled as sunlight warmed its belly.  It was time to get up!  The dragon had enjoyed meeting Ellie the Excavator and Danny the Dump Truck and thought maybe it would be nice to visit them again. Having decided on a morning activity, the dragon stretched and stepped outside the cave.   The dragon wandered through the cool woods and admired all the colors on the trees.  The once bright green trees were now filled with warm red, cheerful orange, sunny yellow and cozy brown leaves.  It was so peaceful in the forest.  The dragon relaxed and listened to the birds singing, the brook trickling,  and then… there was a new noise in the forest!   The dragon heard something rumbling.  It sounded a lot like the cars the people drove.  Curious, the dragon decided to investigate. The construction crew would have to wait for another day.   The dragon followed the sound of the rumbles.  They got louder and louder until… the dragon could see what was making the sound.  There were two trucks carefully making their way through the forest.  The dragon watched to see whether the trucks were friendly.  524. Beyond the Bed: a relaxation and story for your nap time routine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:50

Penny Pillow explores the big beautiful world beyond the bed and meets a new friend. Narrator: Female Story Begins: 3:29 Beyond the Bed Excerpt: Penny Pillow lived on the softest little bed in the world. Its clean white sheets and the other soft pillow friends who lived with Penny made the bed a cozy home. Penny loved her little bed. The bed was small but it was her special bed. She’d been there for as long as she could remember.   Penny Pillow was a little light blue pillow with white flowers. Her fresh stuffing made her as soft as can be! Her friend Paul Pillow was a big wrinkly grey pillow with older stuffing, but he was still soft enough to squeeze. He liked to sit at the head of the bed.   Penny’s other friend, Patty Pillow, was a medium-sized white pillow who usually nestled in the corner of the bed.   Paul would chuckle as Penny bounced around him. He would say: “Penny, my friend, you’re stuffed full of fun!” Today’s Meditation: Enjoy the feeling of your body relaxing into the warm sand on a sunny beach. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Forest Explorers” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Narrator: Male Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:43 Forest Explorer Show Excerpt: Rogelio waited for Brianna and Helen to arrive under the big oak tree.  They had been enjoying writing their play together. The story about the dragon was working very well, and the music was sounding great! However, all three were having difficulty forgetting the dragon like animal they had seen peeking out of the forest.  Today they were going to explore the edge of the forest. That was as far as their parents thought it was safe to go.   The forest looked very calm and inviting. Maybe they would find the dragon.  Then they really would have something to write about.   Whether they found a dragon or not, Rogelio was looking forward to their meeting at the park today.  He looked back at the playground and noticed Brianna and Helen walking towards him and waving.   “Are you ready to explore the forest?” Helen asked.   “Do you think we’ll really find a dragon?” Brianna asked.   “We’ll just have to look and see.” Rogelio said, smiling.  “Any ideas on where we should start?” Today’s Meditation: Rest among the twinkling stars with today's meditation. Saira Sand Crab meets a new friend, Sandy Seagull, who shares her interest in treasure hunting! Narrator: Female Story Begins: 4:25 Shiny Treasures Excerpt: Saira the Sand Crab was a little crab who loved to dig on her big beach for treasures. The other sand crabs would stay near the water, but Saira was brave and adventurous. She loved to dig for shiny things, things that she couldn’t ever find in the ocean.   Saira loved the things she found – they made her wonder about other creatures and parts of the world that she hadn’t experienced herself yet. Every time she found something, it was like finding a treasure just hiding in the sand for Saira to dig out!   Saira collected all kinds of treasures. From shiny bottle caps to beautiful shells to pretty white feathers, Saira would bring her treasures to the big banana leaf that she called home. The leaf covered a shallow hole she had dug, up on the beach far enough away from the water that tides would never flood it.   At night, Saira would snuggle up under the big banana leaf with her treasures. She would wake up when the sun shone through her leaf and then start her day by digging for breakfast…and for new treasures, of course! concert. Bodhi took a deep dragon breath in and out and let those thoughts go.  He took another deep breath in and out  and decided to enjoy each moment of this wonderful day.  As the little beach buggy took one more deep dragon breath in and out he smiled as he watched the colorful sunrise.   Once the sun was up, Bodhi’s driver came outside and patted him on the hood, asking “Are you ready?” with a smile.   Bodhi’s engine rumbled with a “Yes!” as his driver turned the key, and away they went to the beach buggy show. That always warmed her up.  Ballet bunny hopped left, then right, and then twirled up on her toes.  The little bunny danced around the bushes, gently holding the branches as she turned around and around.  Ballet leaped up into the air and landed, balancing on one foot.  She felt warm, cozy and now the wind ruffling her fur felt refreshing.  In fact the little bunny felt ready for a snack and a drink.  Gracefully, Ballet began to dance her way to the stream.   As the little bunny started her journey, she noticed two other bunnies on the path and stopped.  They turned and looked at Ballet.  Then they smiled.  “Hi I’m Bobby!”  And I’m Babette!” the bunnies said.   “I’m B-B-Ballet” the graceful bunny said, with a little hesitation. She never knew how others would react to her difficulties with speaking.   “Where are you going Ballet?” Babette asked.   “W-Well  I f-felt a little hhhungry so I thought I’d have a sssnack and d-drink.” Ballet replied.   “Oh, do you know a good place to eat?” Bobby asked, “I’m feeling hungry too?”   The kind dragon stopped and listened, recognizing the sound of Ballet’s voice.  And then Babette’s and Bobby’s.  The dragon hoped that Bobby and Babette would be patient with Ballet, and give her all the time she needed to speak. Narrator: Male Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:48 Dragon at Work Excerpt: Sunshine streamed into the cave and gently woke the dragon.  The dragon sat up and stretched.  The dragon had decided to take the train’s advice and meet some vehicles before finding the people, and today was the day!  Although excited to go exploring, the dragon also felt nervous.  The curious dragon wasn’t quite sure how it could have both feelings at the same time, but that’s how the dragon felt.  Excited to be meeting new friends, and nervous that people might spot the dragon and run.  The dragon took a deep breath in and out and set off on the day’s adventure.   The dragon wound through the trees until the edge of the enchanted forest was in sight.  On the other side of the trees was the land of the people. The dragon peeked through the branches, curious to see what was there.  In the clearing were several garages with different colored doors. They faced each other and centered around a large circle of pavement.   The dragon took a deep dragon breath in and out and felt a bit more courageous. OK, it was time.  The dragon stepped out of the forest and walked over to the garages.  As it did, the red garage door began to roll up and an excavator rolled out.   The excavator blinked as she grew accustomed to the sunshine. The dragon smiled at her, and looked quite confident, if not for the tail swishing back and forth behind it, nervously.  The excavator looked a little surprised.  The dragon waved, hoping the excavator would understand. The excavator did.  She smiled back and said, “Hi my name is Ellie.  I haven’t seen you before. Where are you from?”   The dragon felt relieved that Ellie was friendly, and took a deep dragon breath in and out.  Flames gently rolled out of the dragon’s mouth, showing the forest, and then the cozy cave.  514. Shelter Pet Parade: a guided meditation and story for kids | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:27

Missy the Dog and some of her friends come to the Ahway Island Animal Shelter to find their forever families. Narrator: Female Story Begins: 3:59 Shelter Pet Parade Excerpt: Five new arrivals landed at Ahway Island Airport.  They were labeled “Handle With Care!”  In five special containers were Gilbert the Goldfish, MustardB the Parakeet, Missy the Dog, Kit the Cat, and Larry the Iguana.   On the flight over, the five had been talking. They were all being transferred to Ahway Island Animal Shelter, so that they all find their forever families and be adopted.   At first, they all had felt nervous, not knowing where Ahway Island was or what would happen when they arrived.  Missy Dog encouraged all of them to take a deep dragon breath in and out so that they would feel less nervous.   She was grateful they were all together, and she told them she had heard that Ahway Island was a very nice place, with people who loved their pets very much and considered them to be part of the family.  And that’s what each shelter pet wanted, a forever family.   The airplane ride had been noisy, but not too long, and after they landed, their carriers were brought off the plane and immediately placed into an air-conditioned van.  A man checked on each of them, to make sure they were ok.  As he checked each one, he called them by name.  190. Listen, Tractor, Listen: a meditation and story for your bedtime routine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:17

Trenton the tractor has so much to say, but he listens first to the others. With understanding, he changes his thoughts and helps. Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Listen, Tractor, Listen” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday! Narrator: Female Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:21 Listen, Tractor, Listen Excerpt: Sunlight began to spill across the fields on the crisp, fall morning.  The grass sparkled with frost. Trenton the tractor smiled. The sunrise was beautiful. He turned to see if the others were out. He wanted to share the magical moment.  The little yellow tractor looked to his right. No one was there.  Then he looked to the left. No one was there.  The tractor wondered where everyone was.  It was time to get moving, the sun was up!  So Trenton headed back to the red barn, to see where the others were.  As the tractor rolled through the barn doors he could see that everyone was peacefully sleeping.  They had been working pretty hard lately, so he decided to let them rest and enjoy the morning on his own.   The dragon peeked out of the forest, eager to see what was going on at the farm today.  Noticing that the red barn was closed, the dragon thought, that was odd.  Usually when the sun came up, the farm vehicles were busy working and creating music with the animals. The dragon looked around some more and then saw the tractor roll out of the barn, smiling.  Maybe there would be some music after all.   Trenton the tractor rumbled back out of the barn. Then he turned off his motor to enjoy the peace. The little yellow tractor took a deep breath of the fresh morning air, and listened to the sounds of the morning.  Delicate melodies drifted down from the trees.  The birds were singing their happy songs.  The tractor realized that there were certain animals that were too quiet to hear over the sound of his engine.  The tractor listened closely to the quiet song he usually missed. Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating in a tranquil pool, safe and relaxed, as the water rocks you gently.  512. Sparkling Solar Train: a soothing story and meditation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:09

Sparkling Train makes a trip around Ahway Island and meets many friends! Narrator: Male Story Start: 4:24 Sparkling Solar Train Excerpt: The Ahway Island Train sat quietly in its roundhouse, waiting for the day to begin.  The moon was still out, reflecting brightly off the trees, and the air was still and peaceful. The sun would not rise for a few more hours, so the Train knew it would be a while before it was time to get going.   As the Train relaxed, it daydreamed about what it might encounter in the upcoming day.  Would Dragon be out and about in the enchanted forest, perhaps hanging out with Nutsy and Peanut squirrel?   Or would Dragon be off on adventure with some of the kids? Perhaps Rogelio, Brianna and Helen?  If they were on an adventure, would they be at the Ahway Island beach swimming or making a sandcastle?   What about Dylan and Diana Duck?  Would they have a nest of ducklings tucked away somewhere? It was that time of year. Perhaps they would have the ducklings practicing swimming in one of the smaller ponds on the island.
