Nicole Bowen is described as a Godly wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. She is loved by many because of her selfless character and bubbly personality. She is always helping and putting others before herself. So why did Judge Stacey D. Glick, appointed in January 2009 to the 11th Judicial Circuit of Miami-Dade, sentence a person with no prior criminal record to three years in state prison. The is clearly a case of unconstitutionally cruel and unusual punishment, especially considering that the prosecution was not asking for any jail time in a case that should have never been brought against Mrs. Bowen. David Bowen is the husband of Mrs. Bowen and he along with Dianna McLeary an advocate for Mrs. Bowen, will be on Black Talk Radio News & Views tonight to discuss the details of this case and what you can do as a concerned citizen to fight for justice for Nicole Dunson Bowen. Burkman's attack was design to appeal not only to those who do not like immigrants, Black people and birthers. Once you get past Burkman's racism and D'Amato's rebuke, you will get a heavy does of lies and factless arguments for the privatization of the U.S. Postal service.

In Today’s Black Talk Radio News Brief, The BVX and NewsOne both ran a story headlined “SC Republican Dresses Up As Confederate Soldier With Slaves”. There is one huge problem with their narrative. Bethany Storro is another White female who claimed that an African American woman attacked her by throwing acid in her face which resulted in horrific injuries. What is with White females and reporting ficticious attacks perpatreted by Blacks? California’s Proposition 19 to legalize, regulate and tax marijuana debate is escalating. Joe McNamara, a former San Jose Police Chief and a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition spoke on Fox news recently about elimination crime by legalizing marijuana which Bishop Ron Allen of the California based International Faith Based Coalition disagrees with. Released a memo in which she encouraged America and the media to revamp how they discuss race and racism, and called the phrase "national dialogue about race" a cliché. USA Today Reports, Evelyn Rasco, the mother who has been pushing for her daughters, Jamie and Gladys Scott to be released from prison for 16 years, picked up two big supporters Tuesday — the attorney who prosecuted the case and the president of the NAACP. Mr. Phillips writes, "The 2009-2010 swine flu pandemic is officially over, but many serious risks remain--not so much from the flu, but from the flu vaccines and America’s emergency health laws. Current laws allow states to mandate fast-tracked, untested emergency vaccines and other emergency medical protocol without exemptions during declared emergencies, despite the existence of safer, viable alternatives; those who refuse vaccines can be quarantined in government facilities."  Dr. Laura's Rant: An Example of Failed Consciousness | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:45:00

Most of America is aware of the recent n-word laced rant Dr. Laura Schlessinger subjected one of her African America listeners too on her publicly broadcast radio program. While not enough information is known to call her a flat out racist no matter how racist her rant was, it begs the question, do you have to be racist to practice white supremacy and if you practice consciously or sub-consciously practice white supremacy, does it not make you a racist? Dr. Tracy Scott writes, "While some white religious minds in recent history have attempted to apply faith to human challenges, they have and continue to misunderstand faith and religion as it relates to issues of color, or as W.E.B. DuBois states “The color line.” Their error in cognitive thought is largely related to their white sociopolitical, and at times pathological human development that has shaped their thinking, understanding and ultimately their behavior. Dr. Laura is an example of this failed consciousness particularly as it relates, but not just to her rant and use of the word nigger. But she is not alone." Dr. Tracy Scott is Founder and President of Feeding The Soul Christian Ministries, Healthy Living Seminars and the radio station WPJC.FM. The former psychology intern and therapist of the Minirth Meier Clinic, Dr. Scott is a sought after speaker and he has authored several articles while providing counseling and leadership to many individuals, couples, families, ministries, churches and organizations.  Manufactured "Mosque" Controversy and Israeli Media Propaganda Revealed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:00

Our guest today is Anthony DiMaggio who is the editor of media-ocracy (www.media-ocracy.com), a daily online magazine devoted to the study of media, public opinion, and current events. He has taught U.S. and Global Politics at Illinois State University and North Central College. He is the author of two books, "Mass Media, Mass Propaganda: Understanding the News in the 'War on Terror" which "addresses the ways in which corporations that own media reinforce official doctrines and propaganda by contrasting the content of American media to that of other global media". DiMaggio's book "When Media Goes to War: Hegemonic Discourse, Public Opinion, and the Limits of Dissent" examines how public debate is framed by the political elite through media. He recently wrote an article, "The Muslim Community Center at Ground Zero: a Manufactured Controversy" which "racist uproar is taking place in conservative America, particularly in right-wing radio and television." We will discuss the recent protests held over the weekend in which hundreds turned out to express their opposition to the Muslim community center that has been cleared for construction in Manhattan, blocks from ground zero. We will also talk to Mr. DiMaggio about the recently declassified files from the National Archives that reveal covert propaganda and lobbying activities of Israel in the United States.

Sarah Palin: Schlessinger Has First Amendment Right To Use The N-Word | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

It appears Dr. Laura has a sympathizer in Sarah Palin over her decision to use the N-Word on the public airwaves. After announcing an end to her nationally syndicated radio program for her use of the N-Word to attack a Black woman in an inter-racial marriage who called into her program asking for help in dealing with racist neighbors, Dr. Laura Schlessinger is now playing the victim card. She is claiming her freedom of speech rights "have been usurped by angry, hateful groups who don't want to debate - they want to eliminate." Sarah Palin weighed in on the issue via twitter in which she tweeted twice in support Schlessinger right to use the N-Word on the public airwaves. If it was not enough to show her ignorance and lack of knowledge of the issue, Palin then re-tweets a partisan political attack on Shirley Sherrod as if the two issues were the same. Are conservatives being selective about the application of the First Amendment? Remember these are the same people that attacked Shirley Sherrod, attacking Muslims and anyone who does not agree with their extremism and religious bigotry.  The Marijuana Debate: What Role Should The Church Play? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:11:00

Yvette Carnell is a former Capitol Hill Staffer turned political blogger. She currently publishes two blogs, Spatterblog.com and GoGirlGuide.com and her article "The Black Church vs. Marijuana" takes a look at the role Church leaders are playing in Calfornia's Proposition 19 also known as the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010 debate. Carnell writes, "Not much has changed in the black church since the 1990’s. Christians still prefer to paint, with broad strokes, a picture of their enemy standing squarely in Satan’s camp, and then bully said enemy into submission with vivid threats of fire and brimstone. The latest evangelist to pick up the torch and pitchfork is Reverend Ron Allen of the International Faith Based Coalition in California. He and his ministerial posse have embarked on a campaign to oppose a California initiative which would tax and regulate marijuana. And wouldn’t you just know it, they are also demonizing NAACP California Branch President Alice Huffman for her support of the ballot measure." Read more What do you think? Is the Black church on the wrong side of this issue? The Black Church vs. Marijuana has been featured in the Huffington Post, Atlanta Post, Hip Hop Wired and a whole host of other online publications.
