What is Black Talk Radio? Quite simply it is a phrase that has been around since the first radio station was created that featured Black disk Jockey’s spinning records featuring Black Music artist primarily for a Black listening audience. In the 1960’s Malcolm X said that media is the most powerful entity on the planet because it has the power to control the minds of the masses. There is a direct link between the deviant behavior in the Black community and the media that it used to target it. As we enter this new millennium, a new era in new Black media is at hand, the only question is will you be a part of the process in working towards a solution for the Black community. In 1967, Martin Luther King Jr said Black radio hosts were the opinion makers of the Black community and played an integral role in the civil rights movement. Where is Black radio, specifically Black Talk Radio today and where is it headed. Is it benefiting the Black community or as Minister Farrakhan once said, it is still controlled by white men?

Jon Burge was not prosecuted for actual acts of torture he participated in or oversaw and it seems unlikely he will be prosecuted for those acts even though torture is against International Law. Charlotte, North Carolina The Local NAACP is outraged that a snow-make up day was sceduled by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board on the national holiday for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The leader of the NAACP Charlotte Mecklenburg County branch, Kojo Nantambu speaking to the local media during the protest went as far as to call the entire city of Charlotte racist. Charlotte has a black mayor, Anthony Fox who is a Democrat and a black police chief. Mayor Foxx said it was “regrettable” that the snow make-up day was scheduled on Dr. King’s national holiday but that “given the challenges so many young people are facing it's hard for me to make the argument that if class is in session they shouldn't go." Rev. Kojo Nantambu said that the local NAACP is in talks with Jesse Jackson to come to the city to address the issue and hopes that the NAACP national chapter will support them in their efforts to persuade the Democratic National Party not to hold their 2012 convention in the city. Mayor Foxx who has been working to bring the convention to Charlotte has yet to respond to Nantambu’s boycott threat.

How do you define "Black Unity"? What level of cooperation among people who considered themselves Black can be considered "Black Unity". With many Black people practicing different religions, spiritual principles and subscribed to different political philosophies, is Black Unity even possible? We are 49 days away from the 42nd NAACP Image Awards. How do I know? Because of the running clock ticking down the days, the hours and minutes till this annual party for rich, famous and politically connected Black people kicks off. It is evident that the NAACP is out of touch with the average Black man, woman and child in America but that was already known by the masses and yet because the masses are so mislead by the media they consume, I’m sure many of them will tune in and fantasize about being Black, rich and famous in America.

According to Wikipedia, a charlatan is “(also called swindler or mountebank) is a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretense or deception.” While the entire NAACP and its many autonomous chapters should not be condemned, its national leadership embodied by its leader and main mouthpiece Benjamin Jealous must be called out for his misrepresentation of the truth regarding the case of the Scott Sisters. The two sisters, Jamie and Gladys Scott have languished in a Mississippi prison plantation for nearly 17 years after being convicted of an armed robbery for which they had no part in, and sentenced to double life terms for eleven dollars. Governor Haley Barbour recently suspended their sentences but fell short of acknowledging the injustice done to the sisters and placed dubious conditions on their impending release.

Breaking News: Texas Company Helped Pimp Little Boys To Stoned Afghan Cops The houston Press is reporting the military contractor Dyncorp has been implicated in yet another scandal involving child sex. John Nova Lomax writes, "Another international conflict, another horrific taxpayer-funded sex scandal for DynCorp, the private security contractor tasked with training the Afghan police'. The Green Party has taken a stand on the WikiLeaks controversy and while standing for truth should never be controversial, WikiHaters certainly have made their positions clear. Jack Cole is a former New Jersey State Police Officer who worked as an undercover narcotics officer for 14 of his 26 year career. He approaches the War on Drugs from several perspectives and one of those is that it is steeped in racism. While the African American population in the United States is a minority, the majority of drug convictions are African Americans even though they constitute a minority of drug users in the United States. WikiLeaks latest releases exposes the dirty laundry of the US Government and while Hillary Clinton who was recently exposed as a criminal running the State Department as if it were a wing of the CIA, claims that WikiLeaks is an attack on America’s foreign policy interests. What WikiLeaks is doing in reality is attacking the credibility of the government of the United States. Take the United States Drug war for an example. President Obama claimed in September of 2010 that the level of violence seen in Mexico attributed to that country’s U.S. backed war against drug cartels did not resemble the violence seen in Columbia during the Reagan Administration where scores of citizens and politicians were killed because of U.S. foreign policy interest. Obama was seeking to ease concerns over Hillary Clinton’s statement to a Washington think-tank that Mexico is "looking more and more like Colombia looked 20 years ago, where the narco-traffickers control certain parts of the country," Obama told a Spanish language newspaper that "Mexico is vast and progressive democracy, with a growing economy, and as a result you cannot compare what is happening in Mexico with what happened in Colombia 20 years ago”. However, according to Mexican officials, their government was losing control of parts of its national territory and time was "running out" to rein in drug violence.

In Maywood, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, a police officer who worked on a drug task force stands accused of robbing suspects of money found on their persons when he searched them. In other news out of the Chicago area, a retired narcotics officer, 54-year-old Glenn Lewellen, has been nabbed in an FBI sting and stands accused of working with his former drug informant in assisting a drug gang that used kidnapping and torture to keep their drug profits flowing.

The U.S. Senate has finally approved a measure that will fund a $1.15 billion dollar settlement to pay Black Farmers who were discriminated against by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. CNN is reporting that The 1997 Pigford v. Glickman case against the U.S.D.A which was settled out of court 11 years ago under a federal judge's terms would pay qualified farmers up to $50,000 dollars each to settle claims of racial bias. However, the measure now must go back to the House of Representatives and many hope it will be approved in a lame duck session so it can then be signed into law by President Obama. A number of seats were picked up in the House by self described Tea Party Republicans and it is feared that the measure will not receive the support it needs when the New Congress assume power in January.
