A 15-year old black teenager was jumped by a group of teens that stalked and threatened her in a Seattle Metro bus tunnel. The incident was witnessed by Seattle Metro security guards and Seattle police officers who stood by, watched, and did nothing to stop the attacks upon the 15-year-old Seattle teen. An attorney for the victims family, James Bible in a press conference asked “if this young lady had blonde hair and blue eyes” would police officers had reacted differently? A police spokesman sought to deflect responsibility from the two officers who allowed the attack to happen by asking the public to focus on the attackers. See Video. The Haitian Revolution (1791–1803) is the period of violent conflict in the French colony of Saint-Domingue, leading to the elimination of slavery and the establishment of Haiti as the first republic ruled by people of African ancestry. Although hundreds of rebellions occurred in the New World during the centuries of slavery, only the revolt on Saint-Domingue was successful in achieving permanent freedom. The Haitian Revolution is regarded as a defining moment in the history of Africans in the new world. Tonight's Black History program and look at the Haitian Revolution and the impact it had on slavery in the Western Hemisphere is hosted by Mr. Baba Jahi of the non-profit organization Movements Unlimited. He has numerous academic accomplishments and worked for decades on issues pertaining to youth and the African Diaspora. In 2007 he co-authored Communication Across Continents: Integrating Local and Global Understanding in ESD which was presented at the World Environmental Education, Durban, South Africa. Conditions were so unequal that the Supreme Court stepped in with Brown Vs Board Of Education and forced school desegregation. Now schools districts across the country say that segregation orders from the 1960's should be removed. According to author and educator Dr. Beverly Tatum, “Students look to their teachers for guidance and help for living in an increasingly diverse and complex society, and educators are becoming more aware of the need to prepare their students to live in a multiracial society.”

According to the Baltimore Sun, the study finds that entertainment media use has grown dramatically among children and teens ages 8 to 18 years of age, especially for minorities. Young people spend almost one-third of the day (7 hours and 38 minutes) with entertainment media. That's an increase of one hour and 17 minutes across the last five years, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, The study looks at everything from media use rules in the home to school grades in relation to amount of media use. In his junior and high school years he had great talent as a dancer which could have been his claim to fame in a professional career of choreography, but as his attitude worsened, he became increasingly indifferent, discontent, and rebellious. By tenth grade, Tremaine was a street thug, and criminal. He would later be convicted for murder and sentenced to sixteen years. While still in county jail he was reading the gospels of Jesus Christ and would turn his life over to Christ and change the direction of his life.
