Black Talk Radio News show

Summary: Bishop Ron Allen, is the pastor of Greater Solomon Community Church in Oak Park, California and the leader of the International Faith Based Coalition which is a group of religious leaders who have come together to oppose California’s Proposition 19 which would legalize, regulate and tax cannabis (Marijuana) if approved by voters on November 2, 2010. Bishop Allen strongly opposes the proposition and has went as far as to argue that proponents of the measure like Alice Huffman, President of the NAACP California chapter , are advocating for children to “stay high” and he has called for her resignation stating that this puts a “black eye” on the organization. Bishop Allen has criticized the National Black Police Association, which endorsed Proposition 19 and has said they are “not real cops”. Bishop Allen acknowledges that there is a racial disparity in the arrest rate of black vs. white marijuana users but says he has ideals to address the issue in California where in most counties huge disparities exist. He will be on Black Talk Radio News & Views today to discuss the hot button issue of legalizing marijuana for adult consumption.
