The Manhattan, A Classic Cocktail Experience | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 755

The Manhattan is a classic staple cocktail to keep in your recipe book for those looking to understand the history of the spirit based cocktail. Created with a Rye Whiskey and a sweet vermouth (we use Vya), you get a simple yet complete cocktail every time. As with any classic, it has its spirit, bitters and secondary liqueur/flavor with the vermouth. For such a simple drink, there are so many ratios and styles to it, we believe this is the most raw and classic of the designs.  Original Singapore Sling | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 1046

Here is the original Singapore Sling as researched and published by by Jeff Berry. This cocktail looks and acts like the original singapore sling and by acts, it acts foamy and looks amazing. The singapore sling has got to be one of the more original tiki designs with inspiration from overseas and loved by everyone across the world. It has all the qualities of tiki: mystery, flavor and a massive number of ingredients making it a bit of a challenge for most to build. However, it is the most well-known cocktail utilizing Cherry Heering.  Age of Enlightenment, A Sherry Cocktail | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 705

Today we build out a sherry based cocktail by Curtis called the Age of Enlightenment. Are we being enlightened by the use of Sherry in a cocktail or is it something more symbolic? This is a tequila based cocktail and we used our tequila from Cancun, direct from Mexico and it has a bit of a smokey appeal to it which is super exciting and different--not a Mezcal mind you! CMC Mixing Beaker: http://bit.ly/1kLVqif Coupe Glasses: http://bit.ly/YIoBaA Age of Enlightenment 1 1/4 oz. Reposado Tequila, 1 oz. PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur, 1 oz. Sherry

The Melon Ball, 1980's Cocktails Remixed | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 625

The melon ball, one of those 1980's shots people seem to never forget. Probably because it's sweet, bright green and is one of the easier shooters to put down. We put down the melon ball in this episode along with ask some more 1980's genre questions so stick around to do some shots! The Melon Ball 1/4 oz. Melon Liqueur, 1/2 oz. Vodka, 1/4 oz. Pineapple Juice

Fuzzy Navel Tiki Style, 1980's Cocktails Remixed | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 691

The Fuzzy Navel, re-imagined (slightly) to create a cocktail that's less 1980's sweet and more classically balanced in the theme of tiki. The goal with this cocktail design was to remove the need for a super sweet peach schnapps and control the cocktail build a bit better, allowing other flavor to shine through without an over-sweetened drink. However, that doesn't mean this drink won't kick you in the pants, it's a sleeping dragon. Glass Tiki Mug: http://bit.ly/1i7wTFF The Bramble Cocktail: http://bit.ly/1bZ4Asr The Fuzzy Navel, Tiki Style 1 1/2 oz. Cruzan Peach Rum, 1 oz. Angostura 1919 rum, 1/2 oz. Lemon Hart 151, 1 1/4 oz.  Amaretto Southern Sour | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 1072

A sour isn't as sour as a sour can be when you bring Amaretto into the scene! The Amaretto Southern sour is made southern by one key ingredient: bourbon! Plus, with the additional egg white you get a nice creamy consistency without having to worry about breaking an egg, as we are using egg beaters for this one. Of course, you can never go wrong with amaretto and an amaretto sour is always a nice diversion from the days activities. Simple Syrup: http://bit.ly/P8UkT5 Leaning Lowball: http://bit.ly/13AyVYS Double Standard Sour: http://bit.ly/1FcO9o6 Amaretto Southern Sour 2 oz. Amaretto, 1 oz. Bourbon, 1 oz. Lime Juice, 3/4 oz.  Foxtrot, Cocktail Budget Week | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 979

The foxtrot is a slight riff off the daiquiri with a slightly more lively color thanks to the addition of grenadine. Now, you would think grenadine is just for color, but a good quality grenadine (such as Jack Rudy Grenadine or Liber & Co) will give a slight tart flavor along with a little bit of sweet as well. The sweetness of the grenadine along side the sweetness of simple syrup offsets the sour lime and creates a nice flavorful cocktail experience and thus, the Foxtrot is born. Foxtrot 2 oz. Bacardi Superior or other light rum, 1 oz. lime juice, 1/2 oz. simple syrup, 1/2 oz. grenadine

Tiki Stockholm Syndrome, Tiki Week | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 781

What the hell is Tiki Stockholm Syndrome? Ever been captured by a tiki drink that you just couldn't not but love it? Tiki Stockholme Syndrome. This cocktail, designed by Curtis, attempts to make tiki out of a whiskey. NOTE: This has 4 DROPS of Burlesque bitters, not 4 ounces--that will hurt you. He pulls out Wigle with Hint of Hop and brings everclear into the mix with a few tiki components to drill home a hard hitting funk cocktail with a tiki theme intertwined in its heritage. Tiki Stockholm Syndrome 1 1/2 oz. Wigle Whim with Hint of Hops, 1/2 oz. White Whiskey (everclear works), 1/4 oz. Grand Marnier, 1 oz. Lime Juice, 1 oz. Pineapple Juice, 4 drops burlesque bitters, 1/4 oz. Demerara Syrup, 3/4 oz. Vanilla Syrup.

Horror At Dots, An Island Spice Experience | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 959

A cocktail with amazing robust island spiced flavor. The Horror At Dots cocktail design brings together the complexity and potency of a zombie cocktail with the flavor of a romantic Caribbean Island adventure. Wars have been fought for spices and trade routes lengthened for them, now take the time to see what all the conflicts and adventure were all about. B.G.  Bitter Winters Cure | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 553

The bitter winters cure is a warm cocktail to get you through the chilly nights. While the cocktail is based on hot water, the alcohol does not come through like many warmer cocktails (with a large ethanol aorma), and that's always good. Like many classics, this design (while not classic itself) does utilize a rye whiskey with an apple brandy, too things you would see prior to prohibition no doubt. It then utilizes two bitters to really add a third dimension to the taste, making it seem like you put much more work into the cocktail than you really did. Fee Old Fashioned Bitters: http://bit.ly/1vEIsez Berg & Hauck Bitters: http://bit.ly/1nBSmHb Simple Syrup: http://bit.ly/P8UkT5 Bitter Winters Cure 1 oz. Rye Whiskey, 1 oz. Apple Brandy, 4 oz.  The Bitter Truth Cocktail | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 734

Three bitters go into creating this rum cocktail to generate a whole host of subtle flavors and thus, The Bitter Truth is born. Not to be confused with the liqueur brand "The Bitter Truth", which is entirely different. And yes, to answer the next question, it's Solo Week here on CMC. All our co-hosts were busy so Derrick just ran the show himself. Might not be as loud without anyone to tell at, but the cocktails are still valid and working!  The Blinker Cocktail | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 732

The Blinker, this is a flashback to when Doug was visiting a few weeks ago. Part of our "random cocktail" episodes in which we open a book and make the recipe that shows up (if we have the ingredients and did not do it before). This cocktail called for raspberry simple syrup so we pulled out a bottle of Royal Rose and got cranking on a cocktail creation. Pretty neat, pretty easy and pretty historic. Royal Rose Raspberry Syrup: http://bit.ly/1BVdUWH Speakeasy Martini Glasses: http://bit.ly/1fTJmMw Fruitations Grapefruit Soda & Cocktail Mixer: http://bit.ly/1N5Sz2V The Blinker 2 oz.  Tennessee Apple Shooter | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 598

If you like the taste of candle, the Tennessee Apple may be the cocktail for you. The sour apple blend with a cinnamon and a bit of whiskey with the tart cranberry. Holiday candle flavor, really that's the best we could come up with for taste profile. You can almost taste the wax with the insanity of this candle-like flavor. Classic Bar Shot Glasses: http://bit.ly/1wLWpGr The Jose Gaspar Cocktail: http://bit.ly/19wVrXp Tennessee Apple 3/4 oz. Fireball Whiskey, 1/2 oz. Sour Apple Pucker, 1/4 oz. Cranberry Juice

Tijuana Sweet Heat, Tequila with Agave Review | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 693

Tijuana Sweet Heat is a mixto tequila blend with 100% agave nectar to create perhaps the next "fireball shooter" at your local bar. No doubt they're going to try to bring this to market hard core and make everyone fall back in love with a tequila blend. Jose Cuervo, watch out. A sweet tequila means a product with a curbed alcohol, tequila influenced flavor profile at a low cost effective price ($15.99). Glencairn Glasses: http://bit.ly/1c7EfGK
