A layered shooter similar to the standard Brain Hemorrhage shooter, but with Blue Curacao added. Recipe: 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps, 1/2 oz. Irish Cream, 1/4 oz. Blue Curacao, top with Grenadine.
We've got a Malibu Coconut Rum that's got a darker color, more powerful proof and addition rum flavor. It's called Malibu Black and we're here to see how it tastes.
A herbal dose of awesome all wrapped up in a cocktail. It is green tea cocktail style! Recipe: 1 1/2 oz. Chartreuse, 1 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix, Fill with Coke.
Highlighting Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate, we're making a masterpiece out of chocolate. Okay, we're really just adding Kahlua and milk! The recipe: 2 oz. Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka, 1/2 oz. Kahlua, 1 oz. Milk.
A big recipe with history behind it and a flavor of awesome sauce. The famous singapore sling has a good legacy and good flavor. The recipe we've got: 1 1/2 oz. Gin, 1/2 oz. Cherry Heering, 1/4 oz. Cointreau, 1/4 oz. Benedictine, 1/2 oz. Lime Juice, 1/2 oz. Grenadine, 4 oz. Pineapple Juice, Dash of Angostura Bitters
We've got a sample of a VS Cognac which was a collaboration effort with one Ludacris, a well known rap artist. While this won't be the first celebrity endorsed product, some have come through with great success while others are a bit more "meh." Where does Conjure fit into the lineup?
Tequila comes together with coconut rum in what Malibu has branded their Red product. Malibu Red uses a real blanco tequila that's well reviewed in their integrated product. So, the only thing to do is taste it. Malibu Red: http://malibured.com
The theory behind this cocktail is sound, but in practice we had some issues with the layer. Never-the-less the flavor was rock solid so we're good to go with it no matter what. The recipe: 2 oz. Coconut Rum, 1 oz. Blue Curacao, 1/2 oz. Lemonchello (floated on top)
Today we wanted to recognize those bartenders that have been making Long Island Ice Tea without tequila and with a bit more grace and flavor than the complete original. This recipe includes: 1/2 oz. Vodka, 1/2 oz. Triple Sec, 1/2 oz. Gin, 1/2 oz. Rum, Fill with Sweet and Sour, Splash of Cola, Lemon Garnish. Yes, we know this is not exactly the original "classic" long island but we're hoping it brings you a different perspective that follows more IBA style rules.
A strawberry daiquiri cocktail mix brought to you by the fine folks at Funkin! This could turn out to be a great way to kick start a party with very little effort. You supply your favorite light rum and they provide the strawberry and fruit flavors. I'll provide you a recipe to get started!
The best blue curacao on the planet changes the game, you'll have a hard time finding something to compete against Senior's Curacao of Curacao product line. The downfall? You'll pay upwards of $25 to $29 for the product, but you pay for quality... at least I do.
Upon first inspection most people are going to say, "woah, this tastes like spiced rum" and I don't think you're in the wrong. The sweet spices of this rye remind my palate of a flavorful spiced rum. My first, second and third impression is that of bright and sweet vanilla with oak. The bottle reads something about dried fruits with muted vanilla flavors and I've got to contend with that a bit... it's more of a sweet vanilla and cake with muted hints of whisky.
