Truckers & Companies Lying to EaCh Other | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:04

TRUCKERS & COMPANIES LYING TO EACH OTHER. There is a major problem in the Trucking Industry. Some truckers are constantly lying to trucking companies. Then there's the trucking companies that lye to truck drivers. Not every trucker is a liar and not every trucking company is a liar, but there are enough on both sides that have really made the industry smell. Lies that Drivers Tell. How long they have been working for a past company. Some drivers exaggerate about their work history. Some drivers lie about their MVR. Some driver lie about their accident history or their criminal background. Look the bottom line is, any good carrier is going to check you out, so just be up front. The next time you interview for a driving job, just start out with, "Let me be ip front about everything before I waist your time Mr. recruiter. You will gain much respect and you have a better chance of a carrier trying to help you verses chalking you up to "just another liar". I do have to keep reminding everyone hearing the podcast, that not all drivers lie, this segment is about the ones that do. Lies that tricking companies tell. We got a brand new Peterbilt we are sticking you in. Will get you home every week, guaranteed. We have a dedicated run we are putting you on if you sign up. Will keep you south. These are some blatant lies that carriers say to drivers to bait them in. Again I will remind everyone that not all carriers intentionally lie to drivers, only the desperate and bad carriers do this. Advice to truckers that lie. When searching for a job, if you are up front with each carrier about something in your past, you will save allot of time by getting the thing that you are worried about, out in the open, with in 30 seconds of each call. There are plenty of carriers that are willing to help you but you sure can waist allot of time trying to fool all the carriers. Advice to Carriers that lie. Reach into your pocket and spend the money needed to find enough drivers interview. If you talk to enough drivers and are honest, you most likely will find a driver that willing to give you a chance. You might also consider upping your pay or investing in better trucks or even hiring a salesmen to find freight that meets the needs of potential drivers. Either way, you have to realize that, in order to have a successful trucking company these days, one must take account that a trucking company is made of its drivers more than anything.  Semi Truck Hits Stopped traffic 10 Dead | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:47

SEMI TRUCK HITS STOPPED TRAFFIC 10 DEAD. On June 19th, along Interstate 65 in Alabama at mile post 138 near the bridge over Pigeon Creek was the location of a deadly scene. Ten people were killed, including 8 children, teenagers and 2 adults, when a semi truck failed to stop at a queue, as the result of a series of accidents. A second semi truck also failed to stop, which also struck vehicles. Initial reports said that 10 people were killed and 26 people were injured when rain from a tropical storm made the road slick and hard to navigate. But since then, there has been several lawsuits filed, claiming negligence on the part of the truck drivers and the trucking companies that are named as defendants. The report from the accident is described as a Hansen & Adkins tractor-trailer, caught up to a queue of vehicles, striking a 2020 Ford Explorer from behind, then veered left and struck the Tallapoosa County Girls Ranch van. The Hansen & Adkins tractor-trailer struck other vehicles and the left rail of the bridge before coming to a stop in the roadway, the NTSB report says. The Ford Explorer overturned and struck several other vehicles. Two passengers in the Ford Explorer died. Following those collisions, an Asmat tractor-trailer came upon the stopped vehicles, veered left, mounted the left bridge rail, and struck a Girls Ranch van, which wound up in the median between the two tractor-trailers. The van and other vehicles caught fire.  The Beasley-Allen law firm in Montgomery is representing Mrs. Candice L. Gulley. “The defendants, in this case, were negligent and displayed a complete disregard for the lives of fellow travelers around them,” Allen said in the release. “As a result, 10 people died that day, including eight children who were trapped in a van driven by Gulley. Those children burned to death needlessly. It is hard to imagine a more tragic and gut-wrenching set of circumstances, which demand justice and accountability to the fullest measure.” A statement from Tom Terry who works for Hansen & Adkin is as follows “Our hearts go out to everyone involved in the tragic accidents of June 19th and those affected by them,” “We believe the investigations will show there was a series of near-simultaneous accidents that stopped traffic on the bridge and that were caused by a number of different factors, including heavy rains from the remnants of a tropical storm. We also believe that the investigations will show that our driver was traveling at or under the speed limit. Click here to read the full story.  5 Dumbest Driving Positions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:21

5 DUMBEST DRIVING POSITIONS. How many people actually drive in the right sitting position? From what you see driving down the road, there is not many that have great driving etiquette! We have the top five bad positions to sit in while operating a vehicle, so tune in. Driving is dangerous enough, but when you sit in the wrong position, you can increase you odds in being injured when in a crash. There are many positions people choose to sit in while driving and most are out of pure habit. In this episode, we discussed the right way and the wrong way. To read the full article from Driving.Ca please head on over to their website and check it out. 5 DUMBEST DRIVING POSITIONS The DMV is behind uploading your violations In many states, the DMV Department of Motor Vehicles is lagging when it comes to uploading driver infractions to the states data base. In some cases a driver that has received a major violation, has not been detected by a company inquiry of said drivers MVR. This may result in a driver being hired by a trucking company that is unaware of a drivers that record that in a normal case, would not hire that driver. If a carrier hires a driver that say, has received a recent DWI in a commercial vehicle based on the motor vehicle report showing a clean record, it could result in major lawsuits, if that driver gets into an accident while driving a company vehicle. This is the danger of a state not uploading all infractions into their data base.  How many accident will you have in a life time | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:34

HOW MANY ACCIDENT WILL YOU HAVE IN A LIFE TIMEyour life time.. Did you know the average person will be in an accident on average, every 17 year? So the average person will be in some form of accident at least 4 times in a life time. According to the car insurance industry, you will have an average of 3 to 4 accidents in you life time. Not every accident will be deadly. Of the ten million accidents that occur every year in the United States, only 3 out of every 1000 wrecks will have a fatality involved. This is according to the National Safety Council. You are more likely to be injured in an accident than killed. According to Injurylawyers.com, 1,889,000 people were injured in automobile accidents in 2017. Accidents involving semi-trucks are far less than automobile accidents. According to WKW.com in 2016 there were 151,246 crashes involving big rigs with 75,631 injuries and 4,655 fatalities. In 2017 there were 153,254 crashes, 75,190 injuries, 4,586 fatalities with semi trucks and in 2018 40,249 crashes, 18,349 injuries, 1,002 fatalities that involved the trucking industry. If you are one of those that have never been in an accident, consider yourself blessed or lucky. Either way, don't blink, your first wreck could be right around the corner. Trucking Company Crying Over Spilt Milk News station WBDJ7.com reported that a trucking company was unaware, at the time its employees began to dump spoiled milk down a drain at the former Pulaski Furniture Company site. reported they had a partial load spoiled due to a breakdown. The incident remains under investigation. Read the full story here. Minneapolis To Enact Truck Parking Restrictions The city of Minneapolis has made a decision that will hinder the trucking industry and hurt the working man. By making drivers park their big rigs outside the city, they have put almost impossible tasks on the working man. If a driver is able to find a parking space outside of the city, it will now put a cost that will take away from his already low income.  Child Molester Offers Free Rides In Semi | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:18

CHILD MOLESTER OFFERS FREE RIDES IN SEMI. 59-year-old Travis Wayne Vavra lured young children into his tractor-trailer for a chance to see the country on an adventure. He did this by pretending to be a person that cares about our youths and wanting to give children a chance to travel at his expense. He posted attractive posters and fliers at which he transported minors from Texas to California and as far north as Wisconsin to Illinois. During these trips he sexually assaulted a 9 year old, which lasted a very long period. Prior to the period of May of 2015 to June of 2019 when Vavra molsted the 9 year old, he was also responsible for the molestation of 2 other minors. Vavra is facing a minimum of ten years in prison just for the transportation of minors and possession of child pornography. Sexual crimes are one of the few charges that most trucking companies steer away from when hiring drivers for their fleet. When hiring an employee that travels out of state, a carrier needs to make good hiring practices. If convicted trucker of a sexual crime is hired and offends while working for a carrier, he can cause serious damage to that carrier.  Sam Legg Trucker & Killer | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 26:33

SAM LEGG TRUCKER & KILLER. Sam Legg has been sitting in a mental institution since the early part of 2019. He was deemed unfit to stand trial for the many murders he has been accused of. In fact officials have termed him has being a schizophrenia. Legg has been linked to several slayings across the country by DNA and America is waiting for him to be judged by a jury of his peers. Sam Legg started his reign of terror in the late 80's into the early 90's where he has been linked to two other murders committed in both Mahoning County and Lake County. On December 20, 1996, the frozen and naked body of an exotic dancer, Victoria Jane Collins, was discovered behind the Union 76 truck stop in Stony Ridge. Legg was linked to her rape and murder over two decades after she was discovered. In 2020, the suspected serial killer was charged with the murder of Julie A. Konkol, a 39-year-old woman whose body was found behind the old Senter's truck stop in Lake County in 1997. Konkol had been washing vehicles at the truck stop for money when she was strangled by Legg of which had been his calling card of methods. Legg is suspected of being the famous Dr. "No", a serial killer that is suspected of killing prostitutes across Ohio and other parts of the country. Samuel Legg is linked to at least 11 deaths and some suspect there is more.  When Truck Drivers Snap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:26:12

WHEN TRUCK DRIVERS SNAP. It is statistically known, that when pushed too far, a man can go off the deep end. Truck drivers are under allot of pressure to begin with. They were probably in an altered state, say Flo Conway and Jim Siegelman, authors of “Snapping: America’s Epidemic of Sudden Personality Change.” The communication researchers define snapping as a sudden, drastic alteration of personality — but say the snap may actually be a long time in coming. Read more about this in The Seattle Times. In the past there have been episodes where a trucker has snapped to the point of no return. Recently Troy spoke about an incident that happened in the 90's. A truck driver that worked for Transcontinental Refrigerated Lines or TRL, drove his truck from California to the terminal in Pittston PA. After arriving he walked into the dispatch office with a loaded .38 revolver. He proceeded to execute his dispatcher. He then waited for the police to arrive and arrest him. Reports back then said that it was an ongoing dispute between the driver and the dispatcher. The incident alleged that the trucker was upset over a hotel bill that wasn't paid by the company, as allegedly approved by said dispatcher. Regardless of the reason, no one should have their life taken over hatred that builds up between two men. In the end, one man is dead and the other is locked up for life. If you have any anger emotions over a coworker, you should get it resolved as quickly as you can. In the Bible, we are told to go to the person we have a problem with and try to get it worked out. If it cant be worked out between you and the coworker, you should seek employment else where immediately, especially if your thoughts are of violence towards anyone you work with. See help if you have issues with people everywhere you go. This includes people you work with, people you are friends with, your neighbors, your family, people in traffic and any other situations that prompt you to think of violence. WHEN TRUCK DRIVERS SNAP. DOT Physicals Many driver will fail their DOT physical this year. What they dont know is they can seek a second opinion. Many doctors that are certified to give a medical examination, are still practicing past standards when it comes to qualifying or disqualifying a truck driver. The Department of Transportation is constantly updating its standard and many doctors are not keeping up with the changes. If you failed your physical by a boarder line call, then you should most likely seek another opinion. In this article, you can read what you should do in case of a failure that you did not expect. Paducah KY Crash involving a Semi truck Recently a semi truck failed to stop in a construction zone, injuring 11 and killing a 4 year old little girl. An alleged witness had wrote in a letter. He said he was stopped along with the rest of the traffic when a semi truck barreled thru the vehicles and almost hit him. He said he jumped out to help a vehicle that had rolled over. He said he discovered a little girl had been diseased and it tore him apart having to witness this entire scene. An accident investigation crew has taken over. They will determine the cause and if there is any negligence or fault on anyone. We must keep in mind that a semi truck when in an accident can cause devastation beyond a normal four wheeled vehicle. We must also consider that the truck driver may have been texting ...

Flip Flop Truckers Legal or not? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 42:47

FLIP FLOP TRUCKERS LEGAL OR NOT? Is there a law that prohibits a truck driver from wearing certain foot attire? The simple answer is "no" it is not illegal to wear flip flops while driving a semi truck. However, if one gets into an accident and the cause is the flip flops, then you may be in trouble and pay a heavy fine. There is no legal rule on what you may and may not use but there is a rule called "rule 97", which says that any foot wear warn while driving must not hinder the driver from performing the task of driving. FLIP FLOP TRUCKERS LEGAL OR NOT? Just because it's legal, does not mean you should do it, if it is unsafe. Drivers that use proper foot wear to drive in like tennis shoes, work boots and such have a .02 seconds reaction time but studies show that those that wear flop flops to drive in, are at double that rate. 1.4 million accidents have been recorded that were caused by foot wear being the blame. FLIP FLOP TRUCKERS LEGAL OR NOT? Working in an environment that is as rugged as the trucking industry, puts our driver in danger. Things fall off trucks and can break a foot. Flip flops are for casual wear and trucking is far from casual.  Top 25 Death Roads in America | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:25

TOP 25 DEATH ROADS IN AMERICA. To determine which road in America is the deadliest, the data must show the highest deaths per distance per road. The article which American Trucker Magazine posted recently, shows the number one road at one death per mile on the winning road. Most roads like Interstate 10 in Santa Monica , CA to Jacksonville FL which is 2,460 miles is netting .597 deaths per mile or a little over 1 death per 2 miles. Most of the roads are in that 1 death per mile, which is dealt enough. But the number one road in America is showing a whopping 1.134 deaths per one mile. That road of course has been number one for a long time and that is a stretch running from Tampa FL to Daytona FL known as Interstate 4. TOP 25 DEATH ROADS IN AMERICA. Inconsiderate Truckers Do you report and flat tires, used lights or any needed maintenance for a trailer being dropped in a drop yard? If not you are whats being talked about on this episode of TalkCDL Trucking Podcast. Truck drivers that do not report issues that need attention on a trailer are not looking out for their brother or sister that will be assigned to that particular trailer. by writing it up on your report, the trailer should be repaired for the next driver to pick it up without and delays. If a driver is assigned to a trailer that needs repair, it could cost that driver an entire days wage, waiting for it to be fixed. Tune in and hear Johnny Acids take on his experiences with out of service trailers. J.B. Hunt has partnered up with autonomous tech provider Waymo to move freight between Houston TX and Fort Worth TX. The autonomous level 4 autonomous technology will be monitored by a driver, an autonomous technician and a software specialist. The customer was not named that will be receiving this service. This is just the beginning of the end. The furture is not looking good for the American worker. The loss of jobs in the distant future is whats on everyones mind in the working field. One of the karma's that trucking companies should be concerned with, is, the shippers might also see that they do not need the trucking companies themselves. After all, if a trucking company can afford to purchase tractor trailers and make a profit delivering freight for shippers, then it only makes sense, that cutting out the trucking company and just hiring a logistics manager to monitor all then"autonomous rigs" would be a greater profit to the manufacturer. After all, all they will need to do is program the rigs to make their delivery! Sponsorship TalkCDL Become a sponsor for talkCDL and show your brand in front of millions.  Truck Stops Ripping Off Truckers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:40

TRUCK STOPS RIPPING OFF TRUCKERS. Does America even know what truck drivers are charged for just a bottle of soda at a truck stop? For that matter, do ordinary people know what a truck driver is charged just for every day items that he/she may need? Truckers are many times held hostage by a truck stop. They have no where else to park and shop at an every day normal grocery store, so they are forced to pay truck stop prices. Johnny Acid recently went in to a truck stop to buy a bottle of head n shoulders. The price was just under 12 dollars. The average bottle at Walmart ran about 6 to 7 dollars, making the truck stop price double. It ids very common for a truck driver to have a bill that is double and some times even triple the normal price on the market. When you drive a big rig, you may not park in most common parking lots, such as Walmart, Target and many other shopping stores. Most of the big name common stores have a tow policy if a semi truck is caught parking in their lot. Many truck drivers, trying to save money by shopping at a Walmart store have come out to find a boot on their Semi truck. The price to have the boot removed can reach over $1000. Forcing most to buy from truck stops to avoid the fines and penalties of regular stores. Jonny Acid was asked to comb through a local truck stop while on the road and check out the prices. In doing so we were shocked at the cost a trucker must pay when he is in need of a product they carry. Upon being noticed by store clerks and a manager, Johnny was followed and made to feel uncomfortable and in the end followed out side. Watch for TalkCDL's upcoming video of Truck Stop Vs Regular store prices. America must know how the men and woman are treated that supply their local needs. MOLESTERS, TRUCK PARKING SCAM, TRUCKING NEWS. Child molesters are probably number one or at least very high on the list of scumbags on the planet. Give him a Class A CDL and you now have given him an unlimited hunting ground. On May 17th, Said El Bouazzaoui  was chatting with an undercover officer posing as a 13 year old girl using a social media application. Police say Bouazzaoui talked about the sexual things he wanted to do with the 13 year old and offer money for the sex.  El Bouazzaoui set up a rendezvous and was arrested by deputies with the Davis County Sheriff's Office when he arrived. El Bouazzaoui admitted to conversing with the undercover officer posing as a minor, and that conversation was found on his phone. Police also say there was other conversations on his phone with other possible victims. El Bouazzaoui is a trucker based in Pennsylvania who travels all 48 states on a weekly basis. Although the arrest statement does not actually say that contact was made with a minor, it is illegal to entice or converse with a minor or a suspected minor for anything sexual related. Everyone is innocent till proven guilty but it does not look good for anyone caught setting up meeting with children for sex, even if it is a police officer posing as that child. Truck Parking Scam Miami Fl: Recently the police set up a supposed "sting" in Miami allegedly for people helping truckers find much needed parking for their big rigs. imagine being a police department flooded with murders, drug cartels and semi truck parking problem? Truck parking? I can smell what the politicians of Miami are stepping in. Some where some how the orders to stop all investigations on serious crimes and concentrate on the big bad truckers and their semi trucks has to be a hoax right? Well its official, someone gave the orders. I dont think the police are the problem and I seriously dont believe that the police department of Miami determined this to be high on the list of problems that need to be solved. It sounds more like some rich politician has a bug up their ass and has put pressure on the mayor which in turn ends at the police department. Come on Miami get your act together and go solve some crimes instead of harassing the working class that are bringing your goods that you need every day.  The Lazy Truckers of America | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:25

THE LAZY TRUCKERS OF AMERICA. America is hurting right now and truck drivers that refuse to work are no help. A high percentage of Truckers are still at home collecting money while their brothers and sisters are out on the long road delivering freight across America. This is not only a trucker problem but also a person problem. Ever since the covid-19 issues in 2020, Americans are still trying to hold onto the free money that was given out during uncertain times. Many Americans have been getting an extra chunk of money added unto their unemployment compensation. Many people are taking home $900 per week or better which means there is no need to work. The government has been basically paying people to stay home. What this does is, it insights laziness. Which n turn puts a strain more and more on the working class people, after all it is their labor that is supporting the man that refuses to work. It also is putting America more in debt by the second. We need you. When the corona virus struck last year, it put many people out of work. It also slow down if not shut down many productions. When production was shut down, it created a shortage with many things, such as trailers, rubber, ammunition and many products that are used every day. We need the work force to ramp up production in order to meet the demands of every day life. So its time to get off the couch and do your part. It's time to get back to earning your way in life instead of collecting welfare because, after all, relief is another form of welfare.
