The NHL Playoffs are here finally! It came down to the last day of the season, but the Anaheim Ducks prevailed over the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 to earn the First Seed in the Western Conference in back-to-back years. We know the Ducks will face the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, but how will they do? Eddy and I take a look at the Ducks playoff series with the Jets. We talk about several categories including offense, defense, special teams, and goalies in our analysis of the series. We give you our predictions for this series and why we believe the Ducks should prevail despite the majority of hockey media picking the Jets to win this series. We also take a look around the league. We look at the Eastern Conference and give you our predictions. Additionally we look at the other three match-ups in the Western Conference and give you our thoughts. We also have a contest for one ticket in section 225 for game 1! The ticket is two rows from the ice! Listen to the podcast for the question and email us your answer here: ducksnpucks@usa.com.  Ducks Final Approach To The Playoffs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2899

John Gibson had started four games in a row, which left many fans wondering when Frederik Andersen would return to the net. Andersen finally played against Colorado earning a 3-2 victory in overtime. Bruce Boudreau is going with Andersen in the matchup against the New York Rangers. Eddy and I look at the Ducks goalie situation and give you our analysis on how the Ducks should approach the final games for the season and the playoffs. The Ducks are also more healthy now with Sami Vatanen and Matt Beleskey making life difficult for Boudreau to decide the starting line up night in and out. Eddy and I discuss the approach the Ducks should take over the next couple of weeks as the playoffs near. We recap the three games against the Predators, Kings, and Avalanche. We also look forward to this week's four upcoming games. We also provide blog and contest updates.

Ducks Line Dance Into The Playoffs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2955

In the game against Vancouver, the Ducks' lineup looked very different with Corey Perry on the third line. Then against the Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild, Perry and Ryan Getzlaf were back together on the top line. Matt Beleskey returned to the lineup against the Wild and played on the top line. The shuffling at the top line has caused the remaining lines to be changed as well. Eddy and I address the fans concerns about the line juggling. Eddy and I look also at the lineup and give you what we think should be the best lines going into the playoffs for the Ducks. We also look at the defense and give you our top six defensemen that the Ducks should start. We also provide an update on Beleskey's contract. We also look forward to this week's coming games. We answer several fan questions on this podcast.  How Murray Won The Trade Deadline | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 127

As the clock winded down to 12:00 PM PST many thought the Ducks and Bob Murray were not going to make a move and then at the last minute a trade was announced as Ben Lovejoy would go back to Pittsburgh for Simon Despres. The trade brought mixed reactions and the fans could not fully digest the trade as another one was made! The Ducks traded for James Wisniewski for Rene Bourque, William Karlsson and a 2nd round pick! So the Ducks were done trading now, right? Well not quite! The Ducks also acquired Korbinian Holzer from the Toronto Maple Leafs for Eric Brewer and a 5th round draft 2016 pick. The Ducks also made a fourth move sending Mat Clark to the Colorado Avalanche for Michael Sgarbossa. The Ducks GM Murray made a mad dash of trades starting at 10:30AM he said. Eddy Jones, Adam Bess, and I discuss all the trades and how Murray did an excellent job. We also give you our thoughts on the Ducks' lineup on offense and defense. We also give you our take on the current Ducks playoff run chances.

After the Anaheim Ducks made a move sending Devante Smith-Pelly to the Montreal Canadiens for Jiri Sekac, another move was made for another forward Tomas Fleischmann. We discuss the impact of this trade on team and how the possible offensive lines may look going forward. The big question now with the Ducks acquiring two forwards is where does that leave Matt Beleskey? Several teams have been calling Bob Murray showing interest in Beleskey. We give you our thoughts on what players Murray should try to go after. We also cover the other moves the Ducks have made like the re-signing of Tim Jackman and Rene Bourque being placed on waivers.

Are the Ducks Championship Hopes Fading? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3155

After the Ducks defeated the Nashville Predators they held the best record in the NHL. Since that time the Ducks have dropped 4 out of their last 5 games. And the Ducks have been 36 to 26 in the last 9 contests. The Ducks are now 3rd in the Western Conference. So are the Ducks still Cup Contenders or are they fading as the playoffs approach? Eddy and I address this and answer some difficult questions that YOU the fans have been asking. Some of these questions include: 1. What is wrong with the Ducks? Is it a short term or long term problem? 2. With the recent struggles, should the Ducks make a trade? If yes, then who should we target? 3. How far will the Ducks go in the playoffs? 4. If the Ducks don't go far in the playoffs, then should the Ducks get a new coach or new players? We also recap the last week of contests and preview this coming week. We are giving tickets to the Oilers and Stars contests in April so subscribe and listen for details on how to win FREE game tickets!

 Mallard Meltdown? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1829

Heading into the All-Star break the Ducks were rolling with four wins in a row including another close game against the Los Angeles Kings. So when the Ducks came out after the All-Star break you had to wonder how they would play. Sometimes a break can be a blessing and other times it can be a curse. Some teams use the time to rest and heal up. And other times teams get out of sync and have to a play a few games before playing well again. So how did the Ducks perform? The Ducks came out on fire dominating the Calgary Flames 6-3 for their 20th home win in a row against them at Honda Center. Then against the Vancouver Canucks, the Ducks put on another show beating them soundly 4-0. The Ducks extended their win streak to six games and four of the victories were multiple goal wins. So everything is going well for the Ducks, right? Well not exactly. The Ducks then had a set of back-to-back games with the San Jose Sharks and the Chicago Blackhawks. The Ducks were outplayed losing 6-3 and 4-1 in both contests. So what happened to the Ducks? Eddy and I look at the Ducks recent struggles and break it all down for you. We talk about what the Ducks need to do to prevent these kind of performances and we even talk about whether or not the Ducks should make a trade.
