Softy and Dick H3 - Steve Kerr on the exhibition game and the importance of the NBA in Seattle / Whatever we have to do! / Anthony Beyrouti | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3153

Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors joins the show to talk about the upcoming exhibition game at KeyArena, the importance of the NBA in Seattle to him, to Kevin Durant, and to the league, and a lot more. It's great that Coach Kerr is so emphatic about bringing a team back to Seattle, and as we've said many times, let's be as loud as possible at the game, show our support. Let's do whatever we need to do to get a team back in this city. Anthony Beyrouti from VenueKings.com gives away some tickets and fills us in on the best deals for sporting events and concerts around the city. Softy and Dick make their final picks in another round of the Major Golf Challenge.

Softy and Dick H1 - At the VMAC with Hugh Millen / NBA tickets on sale / Fluker concerns / Cano in Tacoma / In House with Chuck Powell | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2457

Dick is out today, so Hugh Millen has stepped in to join us today as we broadcast live from the VMAC in Renton. Tickets for the Warriors/Kings pre-season game went on sale this morning, and the Warriors have already reported that only single-seat tickets remain. We've said it before; this is the opportunity for Sonics fans to show up, chant loudly for the entire game, and show the league that we deserve a team. Maybe it doesn't work, but it's the best avenue we have to show our support. Last week, Hugh expressed his concerns with D.J. Fluker. Today, Pete Carroll praised Fluker's performance. Hugh re-visits his concerns, but also highlights some of his positives. Robinson Cano is back in the organization, for now playing with the Tacoma Rainiers. He spoke to the media briefly after his first game back last night. We discuss the situation. Was he selfish or selfless? Will he be as good as he was before? Chuck Powell joins us In House to discuss Cano's return, and what's next for Felix Hernandez?

Softy and Dick H2 - Urban Meyer, and the forces at work / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2181

Softy continues broadcasting live with Hugh Millen in for Dick Fain from the VMAC as we delve into the Urban Meyer story. Zach Smith's lawyer has now come out and said that no one from Ohio State ever contacted her after the allegations of domestic abuse surfaced. Hugh takes a look at the forces at work in this situation: the fact that Meyer has won over 90 percent of his games, our level of tolerance for domestic behavior, etc. Is it enough for Meyer to say that there were no charges filed and thus no further action needed to be taken? Can he survive this investigation? Textimonials respond to this, the NBA pre-season game in Seattle, and more.

Softy and Dick H3 - Washington deserves credit / Pete Carroll talks to the media / Bush Hamdan on the first week of Husky camp | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2555

A couple years ago, the Dawgs had an incredibly weak out-of-conference schedule, and they got blasted for it. This year, they're starting off by taking on a great team in arguably the best conference in college football. Meanwhile schools like Alabama are facing mostly pushovers outside of their conference. The Dawgs deserve some credit. Pete Carroll talks to the media today and we of course play back some of the audio for you. Hugh Millen talks about what Tedric Thompson needs to do to get the free safety position locked up. Husky Offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan joins us to talk about what he's seen in the first week of Husky camp, what he learned in his year in Atlanta that can help the team, and a look ahead to the Auburn game. In our final minute. Hugh talks about what he thinks Hamdan gained from his short time in Atlanta.

Softy and Dick H1 - Is all hope lost? / The invasion must stop! / In House with Tony Softli | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2430

Mariners win yesterday, but they lost the rest of the Blue Jays series. They're now 2.5 games behind the Athletics, and the A's just won't stop winning. If the A's were even just playing .600 baseball over the last six weeks, we probably wouldn't even notice the dip in the M's' performance. So is all hope lost? No. Oakland is still probably going to slow down, and the M's can just as easily find themselves again, but it's been frustrating to watch in the mean time. Blue Jays took over the city this weekend, and earlier today, Ian Furness claimed it was hypocritical for Seattle fans to be upset since we do the same thing to other cities during Seahawks games. This makes no sense. You should be doing whatever you can to help your team. Of course we're going to be upset that the opponent's fans are turning a home game into a road game. You can't blame Jays fans, but we need to do something to take back our stadium on these Toronto weekends each season. Tony Softli joins us for In House to talk about what he saw from Saturday's scrimmage, and what we should expect from this Thursday's first pre-season game.

 Softy and Dick H2 - 75-to-1 / Bill Krueger's weekly look at the M's / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2379

We've already talked about the national media's dismissal of the Seahawks this season, and the trend continues. They're being given 75-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, substantially lower than the Giants, Colts, and Lions, among other teams you'd expect to see toward the bottom of the list. Even the lowly Browns are only given slightly worse odds at 80-to-1. Are the Seahawks really going to be that bad, or are we just blinded by our fandom. Bill Krueger joins us to discuss the Mariners; how to handle the Blue Jay fan problem, where to put Cano, and more. Textimonials weigh in on the M's struggles and the Seahawks.

Softy and Dick H3 - Brian Schmetzer on Sounders FC / Hey, Did You Hear That? / David Moore from the VMAC / Christian Caple on Ale Kaho | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2956

The Sounders get another huge victory over the weekend. Head coach Brian Schmetzer joins us to discuss the come-from-behind win and everything Sounders FC. Hey, Did You Hear That? with audio from T.O., Marco Gonzales, Mike Leach, and more. Dick Fain talks to wide receiver David Moore at the VMAC today. The Huskies have released Ale Kaho. Christian Caple explains the situation, and gives us his impressions from the first few days of Husky camp.

Saturday with Softy and Hugh at Hawks Training Camp H1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2593

Softy and Hugh Millen break down everything surrounding the Seahawks through the first 2 weeks of training camp from Offensive Line issues, questions about Wide Receivers, and contract questions/issues for Earl Thomas (and others!).

Saturday with Softy and Hugh at Hawks Training Camp H2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2406

Softy and Hugh continue live from the VMAC before the Seahawks have their first live practice. Conversations in this hour surround the question of if the O-Line has actually improved or not. Ian Furness joins the show in the second segment. Lastly, a brief conversation about the Ohio State/Urban Meyer story.

Softy and Dick H1 - M's now behind the A's / Jerry Dipoto's honest take on the state of the Mariners / In House with Terry Blount | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2351

We're live from Jimmy's on First preparing for Game 2 of the M's' series against the Blue Jays tonight as the team hopefully gets a win; it'd help if the A's get a loss at the same time. After last night's loss, the A's pull ahead of the M's, marking the first time since Mid May that they aren't in control of a playoff spot. One bright spot... kind of, is Felix Hernandez. No, he didn't look like the ace he once was, but it's an improvement. Jerry Dipoto, Mariners GM joins us live at Jimmy's. He shares with us his very honest opinions about the team, how they've performed recently, and what needs to be done to improve. We go In House as we do every day at 3:45. Today, we're joined by Terry Blount who discusses the Hawks, the M's' woes, and all things Seattle sports.

Softy and Dick H2 - Takeaways from Dipoto / Mike Solari / Corey Brock / Evidence mounting against Zach Smith / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2474

Jerry Dipoto, as he often is, was very open and honest about his thoughts on the M's as they stand right now. We dissect the conversation. Softy catches up with offensive line coach Mike Solari out at the VMAC. Try to count how many football cliches he uses. The Athletic's Corey Brock breaks down the M's performance as they continue their series against the Blue Jays and hopefully regain the wildcard position. Things aren't looking any better at Ohio State as Zach Smith appears to be trying to take people down with him. He claims he never hit his wife, but texts released today clearly suggest something happened. Textimonials evaluate their optimism for the M's going forward.

Softy and Dick H3 - Adam Warren on joining the Mariners / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Baseball's Heritage Pre-Game Show | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2734

The Mariners made a bunch of trades just before the deadline, and one of the acquisitions was reliever Adam Warren. He joins us to discuss joining the team, and his experience with Robinson Cano. All the best audio from around sports on Hey, Did You Hear That?, including Stephen A. Smith on the first preseason game, and Mike Leach's new idea. The Canadians have overrun the city, but hopefully we can wreck their weekends as the Mariners go for a win in Game 2 of the series against the Blue Jays. We set the lineups and hear from Scott Servais on Baseball's Heritage Pre-Game Show.

Softy and Dick H1 - Felix expectations / Earl Thomas speaks / In House with Jason Puckett / Predict Felix's line / Chris Petersen presser | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3491

Football is finally here! It's a short show today so we can bring you the Hall of Fame game live from Canton. Tonight, the Canadian invEHsion begins as the Blue Jays are in town for a four-game series. Felix gets the start tonight, and the question is, could this be his last start of the season? If he can't perform up to expectations, the team is going to need to do something. Earl Thomas finally breaks his silence, writing in The Players' Tribune that he's doing this not just for himself, but for other NFL players in his situation. It's pretty clear that this isn't going to get resolved anytime soon. So should the Hawks just trade him? Keep him? Jason Puckett from KJR's Cliff and Puck Show weighs in on this and the Felix situation. We ask you to predict Felix's line for tonight's game. Chris Petersen held his pre-season press conference today and we delve into it for you.

Softy and Dick H1 - Urban Meyer on administrative leave / The A's have caught up / In House with Hugh Millen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2381

The countdown continues. Yes, it's just a pre-season game, and it's not even a Hawks game, but it's just good to know that starting tomorrow we'll be able to watch football once again. Urban Meyer has been placed on administrative leave after a story leaked indicating that he may have known about domestic violence allegedly committed by one of his assistant coaches. It looks like the A's have officially caught up to the Mariners. We didn't think they'd do it, but here they are. The M's were not great in July, particularly offensively. They're going to need to turn it around if we are going to stay ahead of Oakland. We go In House with Hugh Millen to discuss Urban Meyer and the Seahawks training camp.

Softy and Dick H2 - Hugh Millen's surprise Seahawks starter / Daryl Ruiter on Ohio State / Petros Papadakis / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2421

We finish our conversation with Hugh Millen who tells us who he thinks will be a surprise starter, and who is likely to not be a start that you'd expect to be. We talk to Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland who updates us on the latest on the Urban Meyer situation. Petros Papadakis talks about Twitter apologies, Urban Meyer, and the Pac-12 teams in the top 25. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the show.
