Softy and Dick H3 - Jalen Ramsey, QB scout / Mike Holmgren's first impressions of the 2018 Hawks / Keith Gilbertson's biggest question marks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2585

Jalen Ramsey, third year corner for the Jaguars gave an interview to GQ where he basically evaluated every quarterback in the league, most notably completely tearing apart Josh Allen, calling him trash. Why would he do this knowing the only thing this will do is become bulletin board material for his opponents all season long. It looks like the league might have a new outspoken corner that can out-trash talk Sherman. Mike Holmgren spent the day out at the VMAC today. He shares his first impressions of this year's team. Keith Gilbertson's taken a look at the Huskies and tells us his biggest question marks for the team heading into the season.

Softy and Dick H1 - Softy and Softli Day 2 / 93 & out: success or failure? / Cano returns / Was it a mistake? / In House with Jason Puckett | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2355

Tony Softli joins Softy for a second day. The air quality is awful. Blame Canada! The M's continue to have pitching problems, and despite a comeback last night, couldn't get it done. There's a very real chance the team wins 93 games and still misses the playoffs. Is there any way to classify this as a success? Tony Softli talks about his impressions of Tod Leiweke ahead of our first installment of Tuesdays with Tod. Robinson Cano is back! He'll be playing first base tonight. We all expect to hear him dodge responsibility and talk about how all of this was a mistake, but can you really classify this as a mistake? We go In House with Jason Puckett to discuss the return of Robbie Cano.

Softy and Dick H3 - Husky WR Ty Jones / Pre-season Game 2 expectations / Kaho, academically ineligible? / Tuesdays with Tod Leiweke | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3871

Husky wide receiver Ty Jones joins the show following today's practice. He talks about his off-season development, the return of Bush Hamdan, and more. Tony Softli walks us through what we can expect from this weekend's second pre-season game against the Chargers. The Mariners continue their series against Oakland tonight, and these next to games are critical. Lose them both and you're 4 1/2 games out, a far cry from 11 games up just a little over a month ago. It appears that Brandon Kaho might not have been academically eligible to play at Washington, and Coach Pete might have been covering for him by letting him go without embarrassing him publicly. If true, that earns Chris Petersen even more respect. Tod Leiweke, President and CEO of the proposed new hockey team in Seattle joins us as he will every Tuesday at 6:20 for a segment we're creatively calling Tuesdays with Tod. We talk about all things hockey in Seattle, the new arena, practice facilities, the potential for an NBA return, and more.

Softy and Dick H1 - Softy and Softli / Is Diaz a Cy Young contender? / C.J. Prosise, toughness issue? / In House with Ian Furness | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2338

Dick Fain is on vacation, so Tony Softli has stepped in early this week. We were ready to write the M's off last week, at least for the division, but they just went into Houston and swept them, and Edwin Diaz got the save in all four games, the first pitcher to do that in over a decade.Could Sugar be on his way to being a top Cy Young contender? We get Tony Softli's takes on the first pre-season Hawks game. Is there any chance we see anything out of C.J. Prosise? He's missed so many games, and Tony believes it is likely a toughness issue. Ian Furness joins us In House to give his thoughts on Edwin Diaz and C.J. Prosise.

Softy and Dick H2 - The Auburn game is a test / Bill Krueger on the Mariners' sweep of the Astros / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2329

The Huskies take on the Auburn Tigers in just 19 days in Atlanta. There are a lot of questions still yet to be answered about this team, but this Auburn game is about as big of a test as the Dawgs can get this early in the season. Bill Krueger's Monday visit to the show is upbeat after the M's sweep Houston. We talk about Edwin Diaz saving four in a row, the team's starting pitching, and how Cano will fit into the lineup with his return just one day away. We take your texts at 49451, and have a robot read them back on air on Textimonials.

Huskies defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe joins us to discuss his team's D-Line development as the season approaches. Former UW fullback Darius Turner talks about Coach Petersen's recruiting in Northern California, and whether the 1991 Huskies could beat the 2018 Huskies head-to-head. Tiger might be back, for real this time... maybe.

Softy and Dick H1 - Donald Watts co-hosting / Felix to the bullpen / Pre-Season Game 1: what we learned / UW broadcasting legend Bob Rondeau | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2508

We're on location today at Daniel's Broiler on Bellevue to help kick off Lenny Wilkens Foundation's Celebrity Weekend to benefit the Odessa Brown Clinic. Dick is on vacation, but Donald Watts joins Softy for today's show. We knew it would probably happen at some point given his recent performance, but it's still kind of a sad day as the Mariners have moved Felix Hernandez to the bullpen. Some fans have ben quick to criticize him based on his play this year, but let's not forget what he's meant to this organization for over a decade. Hopefully he can re-gain his glory and return to the starting rotation. The Seahawks played their first pre-season game last night. It gave us our first opportunity to see some of the new guys in action. Softy and Donald talk about what they liked and didn't like from the team last night. Broadcasting legend Bob Rondeau joins the show to talk about what he's seeing from the Huskies this year, and his involvement in horse racing at Emerald Downs.

Several players opted to not come to of the tunnel last night, and the president made a point of responding to the protests yet again. Donald Watts responds to the idea that players should find another way to protest, and shares personal experiences of his own which shed more like on why so many players feel compelled to stand up.  Softy and Dick H1 - Live from Jimmy's on First / Are the Mariners chocking? / What will the offense look like? / Nickname weekend is here | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2273

It's finally here! Football! Seahawks football! Yup, it's pre-season football, but we're getting closer to football season. Softy and Dick are live from Jimmy's on First getting ready for the game. Matt Calkins wrote an article claiming that the M's are choking. We've talked about it on the show repeatedly, the team is clear not where they were a couple of months ago, but are they really choking? The team could end up winning 93 games and still not making the playoffs, and at this point, would that be considered success? One big thing to look for in tonight's game is the offense. Bevell got a lot of blame over the last few years when the offense faltered, so it will be interesting to see how things develop under Schottenheimer. How much of the decisions being made are ultimately Carroll's anyway? The MLB's players' nickname weekend is this weekend. The M's team nicknames have been released. The only player to not have one; Kyle Seager. Maybe, with the way he's been playing lately, his should just be his slash line.

Softy and Dick H2 - In House with Cliff Avril / Hugh Millen's expectations for tonight's game / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2433

Cliff Avril, one half of The Cliff and Puck Show, airing weekdays 10am to 1pm here on 950 KJR gives his expectations for tonight's game. Hugh Millen has been watching the guys practice out at the VMAC. He also joins us with a breakdown of who he expects to se perform well tonight, and what we might see once the regular season begins. Textimonials react to the Mariners woes, and our Hawks analysis.

Softy and Dick H3 - Derek Schultz with the Colts' perspective / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Who is going to step up? / Dick Baird abbreviated | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2606

We've broken down the game from the Hawks' perspective, now we go to Derek Schultz of WNDE in Indianapolis to find out what is expected out of tonight's game from the Colts' fans' perspective. Everybody's fired up on Hey Did You Hear That? Jarvis Landry goes off on his fellow receivers, Aaron Rodgers rips his receiving core, Jayson Werth says nerds are ruining baseball, and more. With such a big shakeup over the off-season, and so many new faces on this Seahawks team, this might actually be the most interesting pre-season game 1 in years. Who is going to step up tonight and show us something that we weren't expecting to see? Dick Baird joins us briefly to talk about what he's seen so far out of the Huskies at camp, but the tech gremlins but an early end to the conversation.

Softy and Dick H1 - M's lose again / How should we handle Felix? / How much of this is Servais' fault / Kaho now in Alabama | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2399

The Mariners had a day game today and once again, they lost. Now at eight games back, it's pretty safe to assume they aren't going to catch the Astros. The only realistic hope now is catching the A's for the second wild card spot. Felix fell apart again last night and things clearly aren't getting better. So what's the next step? Do we put him on the DL? Put him in the bullpen? And how much of this slide in the team is Scott Servais' fault? It only took a couple of days but Brandon Kaho, after his family claimed he had some issues to work out and requested a release from the Huskies, has resurfaced and is ready to play for Alabama.

Softy and Dick H2 - Curtis Crabtree on tomorrow's Hawks game / Petros Papadakis on Urban Meyer and Brandon Kaho / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2498
