 Softy and Dick H2 - 2018 Husky expectations / Pac-12 dark horses, and T-shirt bazookas with Petros Papadakis / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2392

Looking at what the Dawgs have and who they face, Softy can't help but get excited. Nothing is ever a sure thing, but the Huskies look very promising this year. What are your expectations for the 2018 Washington team? Petros Papadakis is back to discuss Pac-12 dark horses, the sport of football under attack (says Larry Fedora), and T-shirt bazookas. Textimonials respond to the first two hours of the show.

Softy and Dick H3 - Giving up on the West / Hey Did You Hear That? / Flea Market Flip: Orioles w/Jerry Coleman / Major Golf Challenge picks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2889

The M's are back home on Friday to take on the White Sox in a series that should get them back on track, but given where they are, is it time to give up on the West? Dick predicts that the Astros will take the division, but obviously the M's still have a shot at it. On Hey, Did You Hear That?: Larry Fedora says football is under attack, and the demise of football could be the downfall of America. Over the next two weeks we'll take a look at some of the worst teams in baseball, and what pieces they've got that might be able to help the M's if they can make a move before the trade deadline. Today's installment of Flea Market Flip looks at the Orioles with Jerry Coleman of 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore. Softy and Dick make their picks for KJR's Major Golf Challenge.

Softy and Dick H1 - It's Listener Appreciation Day / Let's just get the Earl Thomas deal done / In House with Cliff Avril on Earl Thomas | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2492

It's Listener Appreciation Day, and we're broadcasting from Willows Run Golf Complex in Redmond, giving stuff away all day today. The Earl Thomas saga drags on, and it doesn't seem like we're going to be able to get much trade value for him. Yes, the Hawks have been burned on their last few third contracts, but Earl's probably got more playing time left. Let's just get a deal done to keep him here. We go In House with Cliff Avril, the newest member of the KJR team, co-hosting the Cliff and Puck Show every day from 10am to 1pm. We get his thoughts on the Earl Thomas holdout, what each side is thinking and where this is headed.

Softy and Dick H2 - Seth Everett on the All Star Game and the state of baseball / Art Thiel on Cano's apology / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2235

Seth Everett joins us live from Washington DC just before the All Star Game gets underway. He looks at the relevance of the All Star Game, how the game of baseball has evolved over the last few years, and the impact these changes have had on both players and fans. Sportspress Northwest's Art Thiel isn't happy with Robinson Cano's apology. He explains why, and also talks a little Hawks. Textimonials continue to come in about Earl Thomas.

Softy and Dick H3 - Replacement confidence / Christian Cample talks Huskies / 49 hitters over Cano? / Rob Bolton on The Open Championship | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3112

With the Hawks losing as many players as they have this off-season, how confident are you in their replacements. There are a lot of question marks with either guys who haven't stepped up yet, or guys that haven't had the chance. He left the media world, but now he's back. Christian Caple, the Washington beat writer for The Athletic joins us to talk some Husky football. The Robinson Cano suspension has been frustrating, but it isn't as big of a deal as it could have been simply because Cano has endeared himself to the fans. Dick is adamant that Cano isn't great. He hasn't lived up to the massive contract he got, not that anyone expected him to, but his numbers could be better. Softy is stunned that Dick believes there are at least 49 other guys in baseball that are better than Cano. The Open Championship is this weekend, and Rob Bolton of PGATour.com has your preview. Need a little help making your selection for KJR's Major Golf Challenge? Rob's here to help with his picks.

Softy and Dick H1- It's HOT! / M's get swept, A's catching up. Concerned? / In House with Bucky Jacobsen talking M's | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2374

Yes, it's cliche to complain about the weather but it's hot. The big difference between the Northwest and most other places is that AC isn't as common here. That justifies the complaining right? One thing not hot right now: The Mariners. They've lost 4 in a row and 8 of 11. Thankfully they'll have four days off and maybe a little rest will get the team back on track. A lot of guys are underperforming this month, and it's obvious the team is missing Cano. While the M's limp into the break, the A's are getting dangerously close. Just a week ago, Dick was adamant that Oakland was not a concern. Are we feeling any different now that they're only 3 back? Bucky Jacobsen, one half of the Chuck and Buck Morning Show gives his expert insight on the M's after a couple weeks of scuffling.

Softy and Dick H2 - Earl Thomas' Instagram ultimatum / Bill Krueger, is it time to panic? / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2449

Earlier today, Earl Thomas posted to Instagram asking the Seahawks to either extend him, or make a trade happen. It sounds like he's digging in, but at this point does it really matter if he sits out training camp? Is he really going to play much in the pre-season? Just as long as this gets resolved before the regular season starts. Bill Krueger joins us as he does every Monday to talk Mariners baseball. The team has struggled the last couple of weeks, and the A's are on fire. Is it time to be concerned? Textimonials weigh in on the M's. How concerned are you?

Softy and Dick H3 - Brian Schmetzer on everything Sounders / Richard Sherman says the Hawks have lost their way / Hey, Did You Hear That? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2955

Brian Schmetzer brings a coach's perspective on all things Sounders after a draw with Atlanta and a match this weekend against the Whitecaps. Richard Sherman is running his mouth again. While talking to Robert Klemko he talked about the Seahawks claiming the team has lost its way, and that the team had the potential to be better for longer. The reality is no one really knows if the team would have become a dynasty. Many of the greatest teams in NFL history have only been able to win one championship. It's hard to look at the changes in the team and not believe that Sherman's attitude may have had a role in it. Despite all of this talking, there are still Seahawks fans who say they'll root for him in San Francisco. This makes no sense. If you're a Hawks fan, Sherman is now the enemy. All the best audio you may have missed on Hey, Did You Hear That?

Softy and Dick H1 - Seattle traffic at DEFCON 1 / M's lose, Pax injured / Who's to blame? / In House with Terry Blount | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2356

We've made it to the show today, but it wasn't easy. Traffic in this city is insane. This isn't really a shock to anyone who has spent any amount of time here lately, but this is just out of control. The M's got crushed last night and Paxton lasted less than an inning and is now on the DL. Supposedly it's not serious, but every year with him this is how it starts. It's not been a great month for the Mariners so far, but who's to blame? The offense has had a pretty substantial drop in performance. If you've got ot point a finger, it's probably in that direction. Today, Terry Blount is In House to discuss the M's and Hawks.

Softy and Dick H2 - Is it okay to mock the "12 since '12" crowd? / Corey Brock on the Mariners pitching situation / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2436

Fans are starting to jump onto the Mariners bandwagon. It's obvious because of the number of fans talking about the team..... who know nothing about the team. It's very similar to the "12 since '12" fans. Some people seem to really despise the newcomers, and some embrace them. Is it acceptable to mock fans that haven't been on board since day one? Felix is hurt, Paxton is hurt. Is it time for the Mariners to start panicking, or is this all no big deal? Corey Brock from The Athletic joins us as he does every week to discuss the pitching issues and everything Mariners baseball. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the show.

Softy and Dick H3 - Hey, Did You Hear That? / Yogi Roth on Pac-12 football / Biggest opener ever? / Isaiah Thomas to the Nuggets | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2954

Hey, Did You Hear That?: The sound of Mike Solari, Jaylen Brown talks about why he's upset LeBron left the East, and a special montage of Mike Leach moments. Yogi Roth of the Pac-12 Network talks some Huskies, and looks at the rest of the conference. Could this be the biggest opening game in Husky history? It really seems like it might be. Just over a year ago, Isaiah Thomas was on top of the world. Things have changed a lot since his sister died, he got injured, etc. He's signed a one-year deal worth just $2 million, the league minimum. That's 1/70 what he was looking at not long ago. Much of this seems like bad luck and not his own fault.

Softy and Dick H1 - Marco does it again / Mel Stottlemyre Jr. with insight into Mariners pitching / In House with Tony Softli | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2298

The M's beat the Angels last night as Marco does it again. He's only given up 2 runs in 22 innings in his last 3 starts. Mel Stottleymyre Jr., M's pitching coach, gives us a ton of insight into the team's pitching staff. He says Paxton is the number one starter when the team makes the playoffs, talks about the usage of Diaz, and gives clues to who will start for the M's in Colorado in the place of Felix tomorrow. On today's edition of In House, Tony Softli talks about UW recruiting amidst news that Asa Turner has committed to UW.

Softy and Dick H2 - Takeaways from the Mel Stottlemyre Jr. interview / Cliff Avril on Ifedi from earlier / Textimonials: Manager or GM | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2488

Mel Stottlemyre gave us a lot of great nuggets of information during last hour's interview. We delve into everything that was discussed, and look at options for additional starting pitchers before the trade deadline. Cliff Avril started his new show hear on KJR this week and Softy wasn't sure how critical he'd be of his own guys, but he laid things out pretty honestly in regards to Germain Ifedi. Textimonials on which you would rather have, Servais win Manager of the Year, or Dipoto win GM of the Year. Let's be honest, Servais is doing a great job, but managers in baseball aren't as critical as coaches in other sports.

Softy and Dick H3 - Greg Biggins on Asa Turner and UW recruiting / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Most important Seahawks in 2018 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3133

Greg Biggins of 247Sports talks about Asa Turner deciding to commit to Washington, and all things having to do with UW recruiting. All the best sound you may have missed from around sports on Hey, Did You Hear That? The Athletic is currently working on a list of the 12 Most Important Seahawks. So far they've revealed 10-12. We take a look at who should be on that list.

Softy and Dick H1 - What's missing from the KJR bathroom? / Mariners are scuffling / Chuck Powell is the inaugural guest on In House | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2556

Softy starts the show a little irritated because the KJR bathroom is missing something all bathrooms, home, hotel, or business, should have. The Mariners lost the opener against the Angels last night. They've lost 4 of their last 6, and 11 of their last 22. Is it time to panic yet? Chuck Powell, one half of KJR's Chuck and Buck in the Morning joins us for the inaugural In House segment as we talk a little M's baseball.
