Today's prediction on Fact or Fiction; Dick picks the Saints -9.5 against Tampa. The Trey Adams injury may be worse than previously thought, meaning he may be out most or all of the season. Is this basically a death blow for the Huskies, or will they still be able to run the table? They're a 4-4 team over their last eight games without him. Petros Papadakis talks about the loss to Auburn, and quickly takes us through all of last weekend's Pac-12 action. Textimonials react to Earl Thomas' return, and the latest news on Trey Adams.

The Dawgs may have lost to Auburn last weekend, but Rick Neuheisel says take heart; they proved that they are a competitive team. Kevin Harlan talks about the return of Earl Thomas, his expectations for the Hawks this year, and all things NFL. We'll set the lineups and hear from Scott Servais on Baseball's Heritage Pre-Game Show.

Softy and Dick H1 - It was right there! / Positives and negatives / Better position to run the table? / Joel Klatt's thoughts on the game | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3950

It's a short show today so we can bring you college football coverage, but we're laboring on Labor Day nonetheless. The game was right there! The Dawgs almost had it. Dick and Dave were both envisioning the win before it was snatched away from them. What makes it worse though is it wasn't just that Auburn was better. UW made plenty of mistakes, particularly on offense, that cost them the game. People are ready to have Jake Browning's head which is completely irrational. Who are you going to put in that situation? It wasn't all bad. We look at the game in depth and discuss the positives and the negatives we saw on Saturday. Is it possible that losing that game made it easier for the Dawgs to run the table the rest of the way? Joel Klatt joins us to give his thoughts on the game, and the Dawgs and the conference going forward.

Softy and Dick H1 - Live from Atlanta with Dick Baird / Tony Castricone, voice of the Huskies / Who's the X Factor? / UW AD Jen Cohen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2876

Softy, Dick Fain, and Coach Dick Baird are broadcasting live from Der Biergarten in Atlanta as we count down the hours to the kickoff to the Husky football season with tomorrow's game against Auburn. With the retirement of Bob Rondeau (who joins the show later this afternoon) the Huskies have a new play by play voice. Tony Castricone stops by to talk about becoming the voice of the Dawgs on the eve of his first UW football game. Softy, Dick Fain, and Coach Baird look at who might be the X factor in tomorrow's game. University of Washington Athletic Director is nervous but fired up with less than 24 hours until tomorrow's game. She talks about the state of UW Athletics, the conference, and the fanbase.

Softy and Dick H2 - Salvon Ahmed on his growth as a player / Corey Brock talks Mariners baseball / Kaleb McGary on this game's importance | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2326

We continue live from Atlanta joined by Dick Baird as tomorrow's game gets closer. Softy chats with Salvon Ahmed about how he's grown as a player form his first year of college football to his second. With last night's win in Oakland, we decided it was important to make time to recognize the Mariners, talking with The Athletic's Corey Brock about the state of the team as the series in Oakland continues. Kaleb McGary discusses the importance of this game on the legacy of his class.

Softy and Dick H3 - Hawks pre-season atmosphere / Legendary broadcaster Bob Rondeau / Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2522

Seahawks pre-season is finally over, and with so many guys no one will see on the field again, it was hard to get excited, and yet CenturyLink Field was hyped. Maybe it's because a lot of fans who go to these pre-season games won't get to go to another game all season, or ever. Jen Cohen talked about the Dawgs playing in an indoor stadium in Atlanta tomorrow. If it was outside in the Atlanta heat, is there any chance this game would have happened? Legendary broadaster Bob Rondeau may have stepped away from the mic, but he's still finding the time to chat with us every Friday. He talks about what he's seeing from the football team, and how he's spending his free time. Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott talks about his biggest goal for the conference, his hope of bringing bigger games to the West Coast, and the importance of this game to the Pac-12.

Softy and Dick H4 - Byron Murphy and the secondary swag / We give (possibly-drunk) Dawg fans the mic / Chris Fetters | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2000

It's our final hour tonight from Der Biergarten in Atlanta as the countdown to tomorrow's game between the Huskies and Auburn Tigers continues. Softy talks to Byron about what this game means to him, how he's changed since his first year of college football, and his thoughts on the secondary's swag level. We let drunk Husky fans have the floor after hours and hours of drinking. Chris Fetters tells us that this team is in the best position it has been in under Chris Petersen.

Softy and Dick H1 - What's the most likely outcome? / Softy changes his mind on the Lockett contract / Lee Sterling's college football picks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2414

Dick is back, and we're live from Jimmy's getting ready for the final Hawks pre-season game. Softy and Dick leave tomorrow and broadcast live from Atlanta tomorrow afternoon preparing for the UW/Auburn game which is now just two days away. The consensus seems to be that it's going to be a close game, and Vegas is technically favoring Auburn, but the line is moving in UW's favor, and if the game was in Seattle, they'd certainly be favored. So the question is, especially for unbiased fans, what is the most likely outcome on Saturday? Yesterday Softy wasn't so fond of the new Tyler Lockett contract, but after thinking it over and looking more closely at the numbers, he's come around on it. Lee Sterling is back with his picks for the first full weekend of college football.

Softy and Dick H2 - JT The Brick on Khalil Mack and the Raiders / Mike Holmgren talks Lockett, Earl Thomas, Kaepernick, more / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2641

Softy and Dick H3 - Confidence in Peyton Henry / Hey, Did You Hear That? / God hates the Mariners / Rebuilding the fanbase | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2918

What if Saturday's game comes down to one single kick? What if everything rests on the shoulders of inexperienced Peyton Henry? How confident are you that he can win the Dawgs the game? The NFL season is just over a week away, and the football world is filled with great audio clips. We find the best of them and play them back on Hey, Did You Hear That? God hates the Mariners. What other explanation could there be at this point? Someone, somewhere along the line angered God and now all of us Mariners fans are being forced to pay the price. There probably won't be a ton of Husky fans in Atlanta, and it's not a huge surprise. It's on the complete opposite side of the country. Plane tickets are expensive, game tickets are expensive, accommodations, etc. With new big stadiums opening in on West Coast, hopefully we'll see more premiere type games out here, but the Husky fanbase also needs to rebuild. It's been well over a decade since the Dawgs have seen success like this, and it's going to take time to expand the fanbase.

Softy and Dick H1 - Gas fills in for Dick / Tyler Lockett's new deal / Gas on Earl Thomas / Bad year to be good / Gregg Bell on the Hawks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2372

Dick Fain is out again today, so the great Mike Gastineau has stepped in to fill his shoes for the day. A couple of big news stories have come out of the Hawks' front office as the team trades for Brett Hundley, and has given Tyler Lockett a three year, $31.8 million deal. It's a little surprising that he's getting the deal, especially for that big of a price tag, but he's undoubtedly having a great day. Mike Gastineau shares his thoughts on the Earl Thomas story as that saga continues to drag on. The Hawks could have tried to get rid of him after the incident in Dallas, or they could have re-signed him, but this is about the worst case scenario for the team. The M's drop two in a row to the Padres as the door closes a little further on their playoff hopes. Yes, the team has put up mediocre numbers of late, Cano missing half the season didn't help, and yeah we really could have used another starting pitcher, but you can't ignore what the A's are doing. No one could have seen that coming. The Mariners picked a bad year to be good. The News Tribune's Gregg Bell goes over the trade for Brett Hundley, Lockett's new contract, and all things Seahawks.

Softy and Dick H2 - Gas' UW game prediction / Petros Papadakis on the first weekend of college football / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2485

We're just three days away from the Husky game in Atlanta. Mike Gastineau shares his thoughts on how the Dawgs match up against the Tigers, whether Jake Browning can overcome the critics, and who will emerge victorious. Petros Papadakis is hyped for the start of football. He talks about the first college weekend, his thoughts on the UW game, and his Pac-12 dark horses. Textimonials respond to everything we've covered so far in the show.
