Did California Do Something Right?. Once upon a time, in the year 2030, California had achieved its ambitious goal of becoming a zero-emissions state. It had taken years of hard work, dedication, and innovation to reach this milestone, but the people of California had done it. It all started in the early 2000s when California began to recognize the dangers of climate change and the negative impact of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment. The state government began to implement policies to reduce emissions, such as incentivizing the use of electric vehicles, encouraging the adoption of renewable energy sources, and imposing strict regulations on industries to minimize pollution. As the years went by, California's commitment to reducing emissions grew stronger. The state invested heavily in renewable energy infrastructure, built new wind and solar farms, and invested in research and development to improve battery storage technology. The transportation sector also saw a revolution as electric cars and trucks became increasingly popular, with charging stations popping up all over the state. By 2025, California had already made significant progress in reducing emissions. However, it was the year 2030 that marked a historic moment for the state. California had officially achieved zero emissions, meaning that it no longer emitted more greenhouse gases than it removed from the atmosphere. The impact of this achievement was immediately felt. The air was cleaner, the water was purer, and the natural environment was flourishing. People felt a sense of pride in their state, knowing that they were leading the way in the fight against climate change. The rest of the world looked to California as a shining example of what was possible when a society came together to solve a global problem. In the years that followed, other states and countries began to follow in California's footsteps. Governments around the world began to take action to reduce emissions, and the world slowly but surely began to move towards a more sustainable future. Looking back, it was clear that the journey to zero emissions had not been easy. There had been challenges and setbacks, but the people of California had never given up. They had worked together to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable state. In fact, truckers are getting towed while they sleep and given big fines. Local residents are being woken up in the middle of the night to move their car out of the way of a semi truck that can not get around their car. This problem has to get fixed. Inward Facing Cameras ouch Truckers have rated inward facing camera and as you can guess, it's not good. Trucker have a real concern when it comes to having a camera babysit them all day long. I mean these are grown men being told they have to have the spy device pointed at them all day and thats not the only bad news. As reported before, most cameras only record when something happens like, a hard brake or a swerve, you know something to activate the camera. But that is not always the case. Some cameras are recording 24/7, which means, people can watch you all day long. So if you have your wife with you, make sure she is properly dressed, so the office isn't sitting around with a bag of popcorn watching the entertainment. A 69 year old Over The Road truck driver was convicted of shooting and killing a 29 year old Florida trucker. The elder driver carried a shot gun with him and pulled it out during an alleged road rage incident. He said the younger driver tried to take his gun away so he shot the man, not once but twice. The driver died on scene.

Self-Driving Truck Makers are Crapping Out Have you invested in a self-driving truck maker lately? Chances are you have lost money, as some of their stock in pummeling. As recent as this past week, self-driving truck makers like, Tusimple and Embark are running into many hurdles. Tusimple recently lost its partner Navistar which in turn could be one of the reasons Tusimple is laying off 350 of its workforce, according to and article in Freightwaves magazine. Then there's Embark. Another autonomous truck maker. Embark recently announced a layoff of 70% of its workforce with the remaining 30% having the possibility of more to come. This may be the sign that many truckers have been watching for. The sign that "true self-driving vehicles were here to take their place. More to come as the future is nearer and nearer. Drowsy Driving is Deadly. A truck driver recently was convicted of vehicular manslaughter. He was not driving while impaired from alcohol or drugs. He was not driving erratic or reckless. His guilt? He was driving while tired. To put it simple, he should have been in bed instead of driving a tractor trailer that night. Driving drowsy is a term used in the courts when the driver of any vehicle fails to take themselves off the road due to being tired beyond safe driving. This pertains to not only CL drivers but also the motoring public. You are the captain of your ship and you must maintain it safely. He faces up to 7 years in prison when sentenced this coming week. A trucker and a dog were in a fatal accident recently A trucker was killed in Arizona when he crashed his big rig. He was hauling a form of acid, which also ruptured and started leaking at the scene. The truckers dog was missing after all the smoke had cleared. A few days later a man noticed a dog approaching him at an RV park. The dog was friendly he said. He took the dog in, fed him and groomed him. The man decided to try and find the dogs family. He put up fliers and wouldn't you know, someone recognized the dog. Turns out the dogs name was "Riley". Apparently the truckers wife had been looking for Riley and long behold, the fliers worked. Can the FMCSA be this Dumb. The FMCSA is asking questions about the autonomous industry. They want the publics opinion on certain questions. Questions like, should a remote driver be subject to drug screen testing? LOL, my answer is, DUH! I mean what kind of question are they asking? I mean, why would you not drug screen anyone that is in charge of the motion of a big rig? Facebook Postings are sometimes Not so Serious Recently we posted a photoshopped picture of a truck stop bathroom with a shower. The sign read "to save on toilet paper please use both sides". We had allot of fun with the post. Some drivers took it too serious and started fighting on the page.
