Becoming a Human 2.0 Motivation - The Moment My Entire Life Changed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 293

The first Humans 2.0 motivation track that I think many of you will enjoy. In this motivational speech, I walk down my thought process that led to my entire life changing. If you liked this please let me know or if you have any feedback in general on social media please. After hearing story, after story, after story, of great human beings, entrepreneur’s, change-makers, industry-shapers my mind started to shake. I didn’t know what it was but my mind wanted more. I was hungry. I was STARVING, not for food but for something else I couldn’t put my tongue on. and then I heard a Steve Jobs quote that said:When you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much.Wow, isn’t that so true I thought. Kids, the people that will run this world are currently being stored away in 6 x 5 boxes and are taught to raise their hand to request permission to use the bathroom. Children are taught to obey, not to challenge or think creatively in an ever-changing and rapidly evolving technological environment. Wow.Steve Jobs continued:Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it… Once you learn that, you'll never be the same againIndeed. Steve Jobs was right on as always. I was never the same again. And you’ll never be the same again. But only if you decide right now in this moment. See, because here’s the thing. Mankind’s infinite intelligent mind has the capacity to draw from both side of the spectrum. 2 governing paradoxical forces of reality….chaos and order. Both are needed.and if many of us actually acted on what we thought to do we would be where our soul and heart want us to be...and see I wasn’t in that position. I had always known what I wanted to do deep down but it was drowned by opinions, rumors, and other acts upon my own volition. I rejected my internal self like we all do and I listened to the outside external world for years without consulting myself first. And what happens when you do that? haha Well if you have a strong soul it’ll want to come out screaming and it may destroy you in the process. and the process…it’s painful..but it’s priceless. and that’s when I came to the realization that My Life is an exact reflection of all the decisions and choices that I’ve been making for years and where I am is exactly where I wanted to be.and that’s the question I pondered in my mind. I realized I needed to stand up for myself, I realized that I needed to love myself, I realized that I needed to fight for what I believe is the truth in this world. I realized that I needed to take responsibility for all of the good and bad in my life. I need to own everything and have self-worth innately in me and live a life of service and become a Human version 2.0!As Jay Samit once said:Are you living life or just paying bills until you die? Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn -

FLOW #11 - Self-Inquisitive Questions that Fundamentally Changed the Course of My Life | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1013

You're listening to the 11th episode of the Humans 2.0 podcast, solo-series, FLOW! It's about the self-inquisitive questions that you can ask yourself to upgrade your life. If I’ve learned anything the past year it’s that there are no answers in life, only better questions.I love questions. Questions are self-inquisitive tools that we can access at any time to branch out and connect more elements in our life to pave the path for transformation.Based on my experience I’ve learned that often times the limitations that hold us back are a mix of assumptions, beliefs, and cognitive biases.I truly believe questions can remove the ground from under those assumption stacks and if coupled with curious action can make for a fruitful catalyst.Questions are broad tools. I use questions to get myself centered at the beginning of the day and really give my mind the opportunity to think and imagine which in turn gets me motivated to grind each and every single day. Questions have the potential to swing the doors of curiosity wide open in each every moment of daily life.I started experimenting with this podcast with an ending element to the show to give the audience a more actionable thought or tool to utilize in life.I ask all of my extremely successful and impactful guests to leave the audience with a self-inquisitive question that you can ask yourself throughout the day and really ponder.Check out this list of questions and let me know which one is your favorite.  #78 - Viktor Mayer-Schönberger | Reinventing the Capitalist Economy in the Age of Big Data and Digital Disruption | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2031

Viktor Mayer-Schönberger is the Professor of Internet Governance and Regulation at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the role of information in a networked economy.Earlier he spent ten years on the faculty of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Professor Mayer-Schönberger has published seven books, as well as over a hundred articles (including in Science) and book chapters. In modern history, the story of capitalism has been a story of firms and financiers. That's all going to change thanks to the Big Data revolution. Data is replacing money as the driver of market behavior. Big finance and big companies will be replaced by small groups and individual actors who make markets instead of making things: think Uber instead of Ford, or Airbnb instead of Hyatt. This is the dawn of the era of data capitalism. Will it be an age of prosperity or of calamity? This book provides the indispensable roadmap for securing a better future. His most recent book is the best-selling "Big Data" (co-authored with Kenneth Cukier). Before that he wrote the awards-winning 'Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age' (Princeton University Press 2009). Ideas proposed in the book have now become official policy, e.g. of the European Union.A native Austrian, Professor Mayer-Schönberger founded Ikarus Software in 1986, a company focusing on data security, and developed Virus Utilities, which became the best-selling Austrian software product. He was voted Top-5 Software Entrepreneur in Austria in 1991 and Person-of-the-Year for the State of Salzburg in 2000.- https://twitter.com/Viktor_MS- https://www.linkedin.com/in/viktormayerschoenberger/- https://www.amazon.com/Reinventing-Capitalism-Age-Big-Data/dp/046509368XPlease do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/

FLOW #10 - Conquering Your Inner Demons To Work For You To Get What You Want in Life | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 976

You're listening to the 10th episode of the Humans 2.0 podcast, solo-series, FLOW! It's about conquering the Inner Demons that haunt you to work for you To Get What You Want! This is FROM QUORA! An inner demon is something that you personally struggle with your own mind. It could be created by a situation that led you to believe you need to hide a part of you and you, in turn, act differently to seem alright, or it could be caused by circumstances that make you feel an underlying belief that limits you.The limiting and/or depressive (negative) nature of inner demons is what gives their name meaning. It is an inner belief, set of ideas or understanding about life that when talked about seems easy for others to deal with, but when trying to work around it yourself, manifest past it or just try to be alone with it, you feel you are at war with your own mind. Many have demons and finally break through them, while some never do. It is always something that one must understand and repair on their own, as it is in their mind alone that the war rages. No matter the supportive and obvious words of others, we fight the battle alone and win by our own mind’s strength and ingenuity. When we eliminate our demons, we seem to have better inner dialog and feel better at negotiating life’s innate difficulties. When in control, your demon causes you to feel ill at ease and constantly bothered no matter where you end up in society. Rich or poor inner demons are not always seen by everyone or anyone. However, if you are around someone long enough, their demons can change how that person normally acts, changing into a person you do not recognize for no apparent reason. Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/

 FLOW #9 - 8 Natural & Effective Ways I Fight Anxiety Without Drugs or Side-Effects | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 934

You're listening to the 9th episode of the Humans 2.0 podcast, solo-series, FLOW! Life can get messy at times and as humans, we need to release stress to be calmer sometimes. Don't let your anxiety get to its last blow where you start having panic attacks and other bad events. "Fear is inevitable, I have to accept that, but I cannot allow it to paralyze me."1. Sleep 8 hours2. meditation3. Journaling4. Exercise5. Cold Shower6. 6 Breath Exercise7. Don’t Eat Chemicals8. Consistently Learn and Immerse MyselfSeveral studies show that there is a connection between the diet choices and psychology, physiology and behavior. Dietary choices impact a person from the moment he or she is born, to adult life. Consuming too many or too little calories can increase anxiety symptoms and other psychological or emotional disorders. (6) Also, poor diet can lead to many anxiety symptoms, including moodiness, fatigue and abnormal blood sugar levels that cause nervousness and the jitters. A poor diet can also lead to weight gain. And this can impact your body image and bring on feelings of worthlessness and self-doubt.Deep breathing is one of the simplest, most effective ways to calm yourself down in the midst of an anxiety-induced freakout. It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which calms the fight or flight response and helps neutralize stress and anxiety.Albertson suggests trying a simple 4-7-8 breathing technique: Exhale completely, inhale through your nose for a count of 4 seconds, hold it in for a count of 7 seconds, and exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds. Repeat about five times, or as needed. To maintain normal blood sugar levels and improve your anxiety symptoms, stay away from refined foods, including baked goods (like pastries and cookies), sweetened beverages, fast foods, fried foods, processed meat and refined grains (which can be found in cereals and packaged breads).A 2013 randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry found that mindfulness meditation had a beneficial effect on anxiety symptoms and improved stress reactivity and coping mechanisms when faced with a stress challenge. (24) If you’re new to this, try guided meditation as one of your natural remedies for anxiety, which is available on YouTube and podcasts. It will help to reduce your cortisol levels, improve your sleep quality, boost your productivity at home and at work, and treat your anxiety.Regular physical activity helps to improve sleep quality, reduce inflammation, boost confidence, improve energy levels and ease stress and tension. People with anxiety can benefit from exercises like yoga and tai chi because they promote relaxation and involve deep breathing techniques that help to reduce stress and muscle tension.Researchers at the University of Berkeley found that a lack of sleep can amplify anticipatory anxiety by stimulating regions in the brain that are associated with emotional processing. This means sleep deprivation can contribute to common anxiety symptoms. These symptoms include excessive worrying, and by restoring proper sleep patterns, people with anxiety can reduce feelings of fear, worry and tension. (23) Aim to get 7–9 hours of sleep every night in order to reduce stress, balance your hormones, prevent moodiness and reduce fatigue. You can also diffuse lavender or Roman chamomile essential oil in your bedroom to help induce relaxation. Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium -

Isabel Hundt is the author of The Power of Faith-Driven Success and a certified Vision & Transformation Coach, international speaker, and ambassador of Global Presence Leadership. From a young age, Isabel experienced the world from a bird’s-eye view, seeing life from a different perspective. Now she uses her gift by combining the knowledge of sociology, psychology, and neuroscience with aspects of emotional intelligence. She travels to conferences and universities to share her inspiring and enlightening message of tuning in to our true selves. Isabel is a proud Christ follower, wife, and mother to son Jonah. When she’s not helping people follow their dreams, Isabel practices kickboxing and body combat.Isabel and I talk about what being an empath really means and how people can start to realize their own internal potential in life. In order to define what an Empath really is....check out some of the information below from Psychology Today:- Empaths are naturally giving, spiritually open, and good listeners. If you want heart, empaths have got it. Through thick and thin, these world-class nurturers will be there for you. But they can easily have their feelings hurt, too: Empaths are often told that they are “too sensitive” and need to "toughen up."- Empaths are highly attuned to other people’s moods, good and bad. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme. They take on negativity such as anger or anxiety, which can be exhausting for them. If they are around peace and love, though, their bodies take these on and flourish.- Empaths become overwhelmed in crowds, which can amplify their empathy. They tend to be introverted and prefer one-to-one contact or small groups. Even if an empath is more extroverted they may prefer to limit how much time they spend in a crowd or at a party.- Empaths are big-hearted people and try to relieve the pain of others: a homeless person holding a cardboard "I'm hungry" sign at a busy intersection, a hurt child, a distraught friend. It's natural to want to reach out to these people and ease their pain. But empaths don't stop there. Instead, they take it on—suddenly they're the one feeling drained or upset when they felt fine before. If you would like more information on Isabel please check out the following links below:- https://www.isabelhundt.com/- https://twitter.com/IsabelKHundt- https://www.linkedin.com/in/isabelhundt/Humans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/

FLOW #8 - Learning How to Harness the Innate Power of Productive Obsession | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 855

You're listening to the 8th episode of the Humans 2.0 podcast, solo-series, FLOW! As crazy people, when we start something...we do not stop. Get obsessed with everything you want in your life and watch what happens in your life. “Obsession is the wellspring of genius and madness.” - Michel de MontaigneA productive obsession arises from our interests, passions, and meaning-making needs. An unproductive obsession arises from our doubts, fears, and anxieties. Because we're a petty anxious species, most of our obsessions tend to be of the unproductive variety. For most people, it takes a bit of practice and intentionality to create productive obsessions, whereas unproductive obsessions tend to arise of their own accord out of our anxieties. The power of obsession is so immense that one could harness it to achieve the most impossible, in a flick. Often, the word obsession is perceived in a negative glance. This makes most of us deprived of the achievements which could be made through the use of this mental asset. Obsession is the repetitive thought and compulsion is the action following this repetitive thought. It’s a fire ignited within the mind; always flaring, always motivating the action. Have we ever realized what all could one achieve if one is capable of instigating a positive obsession and trapping it to fuel the progressive action?Obsession makes the people forget all their limitations and practical barriers- be it social, psychological or physical. Just a clumsy state and the goal in mind; a focused approach; complete focus; an absolute state of oneness; no distractions! Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/
