Here's some important news you'll want to know: Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) is lobbying for a new emoji to represent lobsters. King submitted a formal request Friday to the Unicode Consortium. The Uni what consortium? Is like the international pocket protector symposium? It's the group in charge of smartphone emojis. Let me guess this is funded with government money. In his letter, Senator King stressed the economic and cultural importance of the lobster to Maine residents. Well, I don't know about any of that but they sure taste great. He should've added that to the letter. I need to stress in the economic and cultural importance of lobster and they TASTE GREAAAAAAT Senator King Wrote: "A new lobster emoji would fill a necessary and unique void in the current Emoji List, and, should it be added, appears destined for significant usage by lobster fans around the world."  Well no kidding. The proposal was submitted just in time for National Lobster Day, which the Senate designated for Sept. 25. Lobsters have a special day? A new emoji would allow people who "fish, process, serve, eat, or otherwise admire the lobster can accurately express themselves in emoji form." It's a right. It's a damn right and Trump better not try and take this one away. This has to be a joke right?  The Trump administration finally acted and issued a  Jones Act waiver for Puerto Rico. A few days ago the president gave a speech on taxes. I know that's about as exciting as watching paint dry. But, I thought it was one of the best speeches he ever gave. I thought it was one of the best speeches he ever gave because he clearly delivered a pro-American message. Imagine that, someone actually rooting for America. And, whatever you think about the president you have to decide whether or not your pro-American. As for me, I'm standing with it. I have my grievances too! But, my grievances are with the opinions, the interpretation not the values. So, they president made his pitch on the on the new tax plan. Taxes aren't going down and that's why I say in the short term it will be a win for democrats. They'll use it to spread more negative propaganda about Trump. I think this is part of the reason he's been baiting them recently. All I can say is watch how the democrats vote. They're going to blame Trump for anything that comes out of a new tax program but I'll bet you anything you'll see democrats vote yes. But, they're not saying that NOW. Of course not because even if you had an idea that was a win win for EVERYBODY the politicians would still have to argue about it. Don't think fake news is just for politics. Unmasking, a nice little term being used to conceal what was really going on. Illegal surveillance that's what was going on. The unconstitutional collection of information on an American citizen for political purposes. They're using this illegal surveillance as a tool to gain information so they can put together another fake narrative But, for the American public this like a bad episode of the Kardashians meet James Bond reality show. The tax payers are looking at this and wondering what the heck is going on with our government. How dysfunctional can it be? Well in a word, it's a mess. A giant, corrupt, swampy mess. Then there are the Russian FB ads. What do we call this FB gate? Fool me one shame on you, fool me twice shame on FB? Apparently the Russians or someone in Russia or someone paid someone in Russia to run political propaganda ads. $100,000 worth of ads. Do you know what  $100,000 worth of FB ads gets you? That's a reach of maybe, maybe a half a million people. And, that decided the election? Look I don't really care about any of this crap and neither should you. The point is are any of these clowns ever going to work on solving some real problems? You might be waiting a while. I want to take you back in history for just a minute. To 2010, just 7 years ago, the Indianapolis Colts would play the New Orleans Saints for the Super Bowl. Over 110 million people tuned in the most watched program EVER in the history of television. And, I want to draw your attention to the very beginning. The opening ceremonies began with the military color guard marching on the field to present the flag. Once they took their post, Carrie Underwood sang the national anthem. Everyone stood and cheered. The camera panned around to various players. All of them standing and most of them with tears in their eyes. Black, white, the story was the same. As she finished the anthem a squadron of fighter jets flew over at low altitude and the CROWD ERUPTED. I have a simple question: What changed? But, there's an even more important question. Let's just say for a second that the constitution is flawed, the country is founded on racist values and it's just all wrong, wrong, wrong. What, do you want to replace it with?
