The NBA Finals are over and can't interfere with Agents of SHIELD anymore so we're back. And of course the show decides to hit us right in the gut. Showing us Coulson's final days with May was just unfair. And then we finally get Fitz and Simmons reunited, in a way. So how will Fitz and Simmons' story end? Horribly or will they finally give us some peace? Who knows. And we finally get some more answers on what Sarge and his team are up to. The question is, how far does this go?   Like what you hear?  Cloak and Dagger S2E09-10 Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 52:09

Cloak & Dagger in their costumes (Freeform/Alfonso Bresciani) It's the end of season 2 and Marvel's Cloak & Dagger pulled a Supergirl. Our two heroes managed to save each other ... with the power of love! In a season fraught with out of control powers and too real monsters, Cloak & Dagger landed the plane with a simple but poignant message; you cannot move on until you shed the pain that's holding you back. Evita was literally killing 'em in this dress (Freeform/Alfonso Bresciani) And shed their pain, they do. After we see how Andre's illness began and how he gained his powers on that fateful night when the Roxxon rig exploded, he uses his powers to play a "blue note"  that unlocks the door to his godhood. Once he becomes a god, he continues playing his trumpet drawing others to him (including Mina who shows up to play doctor with Mayhem and then disappears). It's up to Ty and Tandy, with Evita's help, to stop D'Spayre and save everyone. Along the way, Ty convinces some gangbangers to stop selling drugs to those taking advantage of others, like the men who use drugs to traffic girls. (Ed. note - I don't know how you police that by the way. One dude showed up with girls in his car but I doubt anyone is going to tell they're drug dealer they're using their drugs to subdue women).  The Doctor, Shanna, and Parrish breakdown all the details of these episode and sometimes just breakdown discussing this unexpectedly hopeful ending. And since we're ending with some hope, let's keep our fingers crossed for the Runaways/Cloak & Dagger crossover we deserve!    Like what you hear?  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S6E4 Code Yellow Review – Agent Red Shirt, We Hardly Knew Him | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 41:13

Oh Agent Keller. We've been calling you "Agent Red Shirt" and well...turns out, for good reason.  This week it's we have a special guest on to discuss this week's episode of Agents of SHIELD, Susan (and her husband is around). It must be a special week for guest spots cause this week's SHIELD episode has showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen making an appearance as Sequoia (and she's hilarious). We also get a better idea of what Sarge and his team are up to (but now we have so many more questions). Oh and Deke is back and he's reminding us that he's both the best and the worst at the same time.   Like what you hear?  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S6E3 Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 28:13

Leave it to Agents of SHIELD to do an episode like Fear and Loathing on the Planet Kitson and make it basically one big episode about everyone being high. Honestly, we need a spin-off of just Daisy & Jemma getting high and kicking ass. This episode reminded us how far these characters have come. It also brings up some interesting questions about breaking time and the multi-verse in the MCU.   Like what you hear?  Legends of Tomorrow S4E22 Hey, World Review – Greatest Show on Earth | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 21:49

We couldn't stay mad at this show forever. Sure, we still wish they let Mick slow roast Gary. But besides that, we love this show. And we love how this episode wrapped up the entire season. Who would have thought that Hank Heywood's crazy idea for a monster-based theme park would be the solution for defeating Neron? And even with the silliness, there are still some real ramifications. Nate almost dies. He also loses yet another love to time. And we get a great set up for the villain(s) for next season. Can't wait for next seasons (and hopefully the Legends won't miss the crossover this time). Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Supergirl 4x22 Review Make Mine Supergirl | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 59:06

For the second season in a row Supergirl has stuck her landing!  More importantly, she did it using her wit and her wheel, and not some feel good speech.  We said it wouldn't work if she could talk Lockwood out of his hatefulness-and the showrunners realized that and avoided that trope.  Lena finally finds out (the wrong way) about Kara's secret and the fact that her entire circle of friends have been gaslighting her.  Tess was "working" for Lex but a pawn in a game of a shadow entity called Leviathan.  The Monitor returns to set up next year's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover by reviving Lex and bringing J'onn's long lost pissed off brother back into the fold (so much for the last of anything in these universes, may as well not even use that phrase anymore).  The only qualms we had (and they were minor( was Brainiac 5's reversion back to Brainy (although we suspect this will not be the last we see of him) and Ben Lockwood's son becoming an "ally" because he declared it so (he can rot in jail right alongside his trash ass daddy, he was caught on tape committing crimes as well)  Supergirl did what the other Flarrowverse shows failed to do-avoided the Season 4 slump!   Like what you hear?  Cloak and Dagger Season 2 Episodes 7 and 8 Review - Crab Cakes | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:01:40

We're back to review the next two episodes of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, "Vikingtown Sound" and "Two Player. Visually and emotionally, C&D continues to stun us. Following her loss of hope, Tandy finds herself stuck in a motel with other girls Andre (D'Spayre) and Lia have drained of their will to fight. Tandy's new roommate Del is so brainwashed that even when Tandy wants to run away, she doesn't get far because Del snitches on her. courtesy Walt Disney Media Luckily, Tandy manages to convince Del that Andre and Lia are manipulating her and that her family hadn't given up on her despite what Andre and Lia said. That spark of hope in Del is enough to fuel Tandy's powers and she's able to fight her way out of the motel, just in time for Ty to show up to rescue her.  The situation immediately flips when Ty's powers go haywire and now Tandy, with Evita's help, must journey to the other world to convince Ty to return. She also takes Brigid with her and Brigid is reunited with Mayhem. Brigid makes a deal to give Mayhem control as long as she listens to reason (we'll see how that goes).  courtesy Walt Disney Media In order to convince Ty to come home, Tandy plays an old-school style videogame with him that is basically the two of them fighting nameless bad guys to get to the big boss. The production value on this show is bananas! The videogame is fashioned like an old-school Cloak & Dagger comic and Ty and Tandy are dressed like the characters so there's a seamless transition between the game and our characters.  The game Ty is playing is made by Baron Samedi another Voudoun loa or god. While Tandy tries to convince Ty to stop playing, Evita ends up promising to marry the loa in exchange for Ty's return. Now that Evita's married to a god, their relationship is definitely going to get more complicated.  And all of that buries the lede on the real story. TY'S MAMA WENT FULL DEXTER. We said last time that Ty's mom was waaaaaayyyyyyy more dangerous than his dad and that proved to be very true. Let's just say, she's a more dangerous chef than Gordon Ramsay.  Listen to Shanna, Parrish and The Doctor breakdown the episode, the symbolism and the food, on the latest episode of the podcast.    Like what you hear?  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S6E2 Window of Opportunity Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 38:04

We're back for episode 2 of this season of Agents of SHIELD and we have so many questions. Where is "Sarge"/Not-Coulson from? Is AoS getting ahead of Spider-Man Far From Home and establishing the MCU multi-verse? Are Sarge and his team destroying other worlds or just pillaging them before they're destroyed? In space, we have Fitz and this Fitz still hasn't come to terms with what he did in the Framework. It's going to be interesting when this Fitz is finally confronted with Simmons because there's so much to catch up on. Oh and a Melinda May...excuse me...a Disney Legend Melinda May "loss" still means everyone got their asses kicked by her.    Like what you hear?  Arrow S7E22 You Have Saved This City Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 25:06

The season 7 finale of Arrow felt more like a series finale than a season finale. We feel that Emiko's story arc got short-changed but we did get the some great moments. We now have questions as to how the future we saw actually happened since this season ended with the team as heroes. But it can't be good. Also seeing Oliver get those small moments of peace with Felicity and infant Maya was great. But then the Monitor shows up and we know that everything has a cost.  Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Supergirl 4x21 Review – It All Falls Down | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 36:31

This week the proverbial poo hits the spinning blades this week.  While Kara is able to escape her captivity, it's only to go head to head with Red Daughter and wind up getting the brakes beaten off her.  Surrounding this storyline is Alex rediscovering the memories J'onn erased, potentially triggered by the stress of the adoption falling through and the realization that the adoption was designed to fill a hole she didn't realize existed in her life. Chyler Leigh delivered a masterful and emotional performance, even in the wake of us screaming at the teleivision "THAT IS NOT HOW SUNLIGHT WORKS!"  Meanwhile, Brainiac 5 is unleashed when Brainy, Nia and J'onn go undercover to discover where the captured aliens are being sent and Brainy is tortured.  This causes him to turn on Nia and J'onn and use them as pawns in his plan.  Is this the seeding of next year's big bad? Lockwood learns that much like most of the White men in American government he got his job through manipulation and connections and not any real talent or intelligence of his own.  Finally, Red Daughter pays the ultimate price for trusting Lex.   Like what you hear?  The Flash Season 5 Episode 22 Legacy Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 30:04

At this rate Barry isn't gonna have any family left for Thawne to kill. I mean...Thawne has now both given Barry a daughter now taken her away. Without even lifting a finger. Thawne might be the greastest speedster. As he said, he's the only speedster that can manipulate the timeline to get what he wants. Damn he's good.  Also we like seeing Cisco happy (giving up his powers to be his own man), Captain Joe West has a good ring to it and bring on Sue Dibny...we mean Sue Dearborn...we're here for it. Baby...Adult Giraffe has earned it. Ralph was great this season. And now...it's a race to Crisis. Let's go. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Legends of Tomorrow S4E15 Terms of Service Review - Gary is the Worst | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 26:58

The penultimate episode of Season 4 of Legends of Tomorrow is here and for the first time this season we have an issue with an episode. Gary is the quintessential male nerd who blames everyone but himself for why no one wants to be friends with him. Having Sara, Ava and the other Legends apologize and then tell Gary he is an interim Legend. No. Gary is terrible. He's the worst kind of "nerd" who doesn't understand boundaries, is creepy and tries to insert themselves into the lives of people who don't want him there. The Legends already have two awkward nerds (Ray & Nate) who integrated just fine. We're really hoping the Season Finale really drives home that fact that Gary isn't a hero but is part of the problem. Outside of that, the rest of the episode was great. We really love Brandon Routh as a villain Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Star Trek Discovery S2E12 - E14 Review - The Greatest Star Trek Ever | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:54:36

It's taken us some time but we've finally reassembled to review/discuss/celebrate the last 3 episodes of Star Trek Discovery Season 2. Let's just get this out of the way now: This is the best Star Trek ever. Period. End of discussion. This isn't to say that the other Star Trek shows aren't enjoyable or that we're shitting on them. But it's very clear that Discovery is the culmination of all the lessons learned from the highs and lows of those previous shows into a damn near perfect show. There's so much to talk about and discuss. So give it a listen. We also read some listener emails about the finale.   Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 1 Missing Pieces Review - Super Tuesday Recap | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 36:15

You know what time it is. The Champ is back. Agents of Shield Season 6. We back baby. So where does this fit in the MCU/Endgame timeline? We're gonna be honest...we don't care and it doesn't matter.  Maybe they'll address it later in the season. Maybe they won't. But the reality is, Agents of Shield has been holding its own for a while now so all that really matters is: Will we continue to get a great story? And all signs point to yes. We don't have enough info yet to really know what's going on but we do know that the team is split between two different missions, it's been a year since we last saw them, our Coulson is dead and Mack is the Director and trying to rebuild shield. Strap in, we're in for a ride. Oh and shout out to Agents Piper and Davis for being elevated to the A Squad.  Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.
