Summary: This podcast is one that I wanted to put together to discuss the struggles, the successes and the stories of being healthy and travelling this journey together one day at a time. When I first started this journey a year and a half ago I was ringing in at a whopping 360 pounds and after patience and focus, I have been able to lose 100 of those pounds. We have all been here before ... what are we going to learn from our past to make sure that we are setting ourselves up for the future?
This was a reflection on some of the AMAZING comments we received yesterday with the assignment of one word that describes you. If you havent listened and/or done it on FB/Connect you need to!! And read the others comments.
ASSIGNMENT: Let think of the one word that best describes us and then see how we can use it to elevate our performance and success.
In this journey, moderation has been a crucial point of success for me. This is important because I am an ALL OR NOTHING kind of dude so it is important to figure that out.
How will you handle adversity when it is dealt to you in life? My son teaches me a valuable lesson in positivity and grace.
What are you proud of? Take inventory of it because you will need it one day.
The steps you make forward today will make today a better day than yesterday. Do that enough times and you will get to your goals.
How do you respond to circumstances? Do you let them dictate your response or are you in control of the situation?
Tracking and control ... they go hand and hand ... so if you have the road map to success ... then why dont you follow it? (Please forgive the audio issues)
Hardships and setbacks can truly be used as growth and learning. In the grand scheme of things they are just "blips" on your screen of life.
When you are creating your SMART goals, are you setting those "realistic goals" up for failure? Remember to focus on smaller, incremental and bite sized goals to get to the larger one eventually, it will just take a little more time.
What decisions are you making today to set yourself up for success in the future? Be mindful today and invest in your future like you do your finances ... only think health!
WHy do we always look at how far we have to go rather than how far we have come? Reverse that mindset and see how far it will take you .. positivity will lead to success.
You hear, but are you listening? You exist, but are you living? You look, but do you see? Ask yourself these questions to change our mindsets to something other than the scale and the numbers.
You have to make initial investments in business for success ... why not in your health journey? It takes investments and patience as well to be successful.
