No, it isn't the same as having the Sonics back but it's still good to have some sort of NBA basketball back in Seattle. Maybe this will help bring back a team, and maybe it won't make a difference, but ultimately tonight's for the Sonics fans. There's absolutely no question that it's going to be a tough game, but if they somehow manage to win, there's a reasonable chance they could still win the division. If they lose, their best chance is the wild card. If the Hawks are going to win on Saturday, the team's stars are going to need to be stars. Looking at the top 5 NFL games for the weekend, the Seahawks and Rams aren't on the list. A couple of years ago it would be unimaginable that it could even be possible. No one believes Sunday's game against the Rams is going to be easy, but if they can keep it close all four quarters, and the defense without Earl can keep the Rams to under 25 points, they'll have a shot. It seems Jimmy Lake has basically said"If you aren't good enough to play on Sunday, you aren't getting a scholarship here."
