When Merlin shows up and starts acting suspicious, it’s time to ignore his warning that deception is the Evil’s greatest weapon and split up into small groups. Thankfully there’s a certain werewolf in the group now to help balance the books. We’re in the endgame now. Two more episodes to go until we reach the series finale, and there’s no stopping!

GC13 and David discuss The Heart of Kings from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. Edred’s homeland! His backstory! Merlin finally gets some face time! The Heart of Kings was packed to the gills, running longer than an ordinary episode in order to have enough space. And while everything in the land of the elves is dark and serious, there are plenty of funny things. It’s the one thing a necromancer’s skeletons can have in common with an ancient, giant swordsmith.

GC13 and David discuss The Mystery of Secrets from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. As redundant as a mystery of secrets may be, we’ve come across another exciting episode of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. The Inspector finally realizes that magic is real, and we meet the famous Otto and discover that he is the one who will eventually create Copernicus. The London of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is quite beautiful, and it’s a shame we only get to spend ten episodes in it.

GC13 and David discuss The Past Within from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. This was definitely a memorable episode—inside Melinda’s memories, no less! While the events probably didn’t take place with Emma’s involvement, we have every reason to believe what we saw accurately described Morgan’s fate—explaining while Melinda is such a sourpuss. But with a backstory like that, we figure she’s totally earned it. Merlin seems to have taken things pretty hard too, and he’s had a long life to become accustomed to tragedy. How sad.

GC13 and David discuss What Lies Beneath from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. It’s the middle episode of a trio of closely linked episodes. We start off with a chase through the London city streets, but we end up on a haunted/living ship that is a clear and present danger to our heroes. Seng/Alfie has it worse than everyone else though: not only is he cut off from the spirit world, a whole new sense he’s just been opened up to, but he’s also fading away. Thank goodness Copernicus is around to bring some levity to the situation.

GC13 and David discuss A Fateful Encounter from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. It’s the third of ten episodes and it’s when the mystery really picks up: what is going on with this combination Emma and Melinda? But we don’t have time to worry about that, because the heroes have heroic things to do. … After Twillion makes sure everything is safe for a general audience first. Plus if you listen to the podcast very carefully, you might hear a “Mildred”. There are more of those to come, of that you can be sure.

GC13 and David discuss both parts of The Awakening from Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. They’re the first two episodes of a whole new property, so they have a lot of setup to do. We’re introduced to our eternal warriors, and learn that this time, everything is different. Our enemy of the week is none other than Lulu: the non-psychic, non-tandem, non-war elephant! It’s… Not nearly as silly as an elephant named Lulu sounds.

GC13 and David discuss I Won’t Leave You Alone from Bee and PuppyCat. Well, hopefully there’s another season because there’s no way they can end the storyline there. There are so many new questions for us to answer, and so many new questions for the answers to give us! The business has to add up, we need that new season. At least Cardamon is finally happy. And with Sticky to keep watch, things surely won’t get out of hand during the journey!

GC13 and David discuss Now I’m Really Alone from Bee and PuppyCat. When Moully shows up on the Island, there’s a sudden increase in accidental property damage. Cas doesn’t mind though, so long as she has things she wants. And with Moully able to travel the island very quickly, he and Bee are able to get into all sorts of trouble while Bee ducks her responsibility so badly PuppyCat has to make a handpuppet. We’re almost at the end of the season. With one episode to go, it’s time to pay off a fake-out and upset some status quo!

GC13 and David discuss Why Don’t You Help Me from Bee and PuppyCat. PuppyCat spent this episode being ice cold; Tempbot and Sticky probably think so, at least. It was all done in the name of love though—and hunger. But as the romance between Cellphone and Tempbot ends, a new one begins, even if the teachers have two entire classes worth of tattles to listen to now. Oh yes, and the Warlocks. They start the episode weird, and they end the episode minus a hand. Welcome to the Island.

GC13 and David discuss Golden Eyes from Bee and PuppyCat. Well, that’s how we expect a Bee and PuppyCat episode to end, isn’t it? Utterly baffled, and yet feeling as though it’s the only ending we could have got. Still, that ship hasn’t sunk, has it? There’s still hope. Not for that poor butterfly though. What’s going on on this island? What’s going on in space? And why does PuppyCat… Do… That? So full of questions we are, aren’t we?

GC13 and David discuss Two Clown Noses from Bee and PuppyCat. Ah, it’s nice to return to the series on such a kind and charming episode. Two Clown Noses ships Bee and Crispin, in a way that makes much more sense than Toast and Merlin’s bizarre relationship-for-revenge. It also gives us a change to learn more about Crispin’s past, finally giving some context to why he insists on making everything look like clowns. And, also, it finally teaches him how to talk to his family about what he wants, maybe helping them build a stronger relationship with him going forward.

GC13, Soren, and David discuss King’s Tide from The Owl House. It’s finally been all put together: Belos (Philip?), the Collector, King, the door, and all on the Day of Unity. An arm was nobly sacrificed, but at least everyone made it out alive (even if they have to wait most of another season to see their loved ones again). And with that we’ve finally discussed every episode of The Owl House. Here’s to hoping that we get to spend some more time on the Boiling Isles some day, but until that day comes: BYEEEEE!

You also know why the Owl House crew drew a rat that looked suspiciously like Alador… Speaking of whom, now that he’s no longer employed by Odalia, he’s free to form a better relationship with his daughter—and maybe even get to know his future daughter-in-law.

GC13, Soren, and David discuss O Titan, Where Art Thou from The Owl House. Okay, if you had Steve Face Reveal on your season two prediction card, it’s time to take your victory lap. He was the perfect guide to take King on his journey of self-discovery, and he even discovered something about himself while he was doing the driving. Of all the allies Eda and Lilith could have amassed, who would have thought it would be a band of CATs they’d fall in with? Nobody hiss though, or they might lose Darius.
