OUAT The Price Analysis In our OUAT The Price Analysis in our Once Upon A Time Podcast Main Show there are many parts to take a closer look at within the main storyline; Regina the Hero Regina is experiencing one of the down sides of being a “good” person that isn’t ruled by their passions and revenge. She allowed herself to be part of a team, and as Season 5 unfolds – she is now the only member who has magical power. Being a hero is just like being Heavy Weight Champion Boxer, you can’t rest on the accolades alone, you will be challenged all along the way to get and keep the tile. She is being tested to become the savior – to save Emma. She is now all alone. Anyone who could help her have been incapacitated. Regina is now on the Joseph Campbell’s Heroes Journey, for all the right reasons, but to save Emma, her friends and keep her Happy Ending, she must face the path of becoming a Hero that includes temptations to go back to being a Villain. Hook the Hero Hook feared being pulled back into the darkness, and the closer he gets to Emma, the more he will be tempted and tested. Is Hook strong enough to stay untouched by the Darkness and rescue Emma, too? What is The Fury? Is the Fury an Angry Tree? So many people are trapped in trees, is the Fury that kidnapped Robin, perhaps Sneezy or even Merlin? What if The Fury is being used to lead Regina down the path toward being a hero? Or is The Fury part of the dream Regina had in ‘Poor Unfortunate Soul’ 4X16? In ‘The Price’, Regina told The Fury, “You’re not taking him anywhere!” In ‘Poor Unfortunate Soul’, the Evil Queen Regina told the present Regina, “Get away from him!” It may be a stretch but it almost seemed like even back in Season 4 that her redeemed Hero self was being tested. Is she fighting her old self? Can we trust the New Group from Camelot? We know Percival can’t be trusted, but Arthur did help save Regina’s life from being paid. A total of five trees, including a mature oak that is roughly 70-feet tall, were to be chopped down for re-development of the site beside the Steveston Post Office and Moncton Street boardwalk for a Japanese-themed garden. … “A pair of two old ladies sitting on a bench nearby told me the woman was probably crying about the trees,” Hazama said. “Who knows what it really was. Maybe she had a special connection with the trees. We really appreciate it! News: Reini Side won best Cosplay in the Once Upon a Fan’s Awards. Congrats Reini! Notes: Sneezy is still a part of Team 7 – on type of the van It’s great that even though Sneezy was turned to stone by Emma, they still take him on their adventures in the Team 7 van. All the while, still trying to find a way to reverse the curse and return him to “Substitute Sheriff” when there isn’t one around. Grumpy voices concern of “one of them” now becoming the newest Dark One. Grumpy has a valid point, Emma was one of the Storybrookians who knew all the secrets, helped destroy and drive off the monsters (including the Trio of Terror), she knows way too much about them and now can use that information against them. With all that information and power, even Grumpy doesn’t trust Regina to protect the town. Grumpy’s hesitation in Regina’s power and leadership began to eat away at her belief in herself. If you wondered what would happen when someone crossed the line after this newest curse, Grumpy picks a Guinea Pig to try it out. I really loved the “Not it” scene with Team 7. Dopey isn’t Dopey at all. He had his ‘Not it!’ note ready. It turns out that when Dopey crossed the town line, he turned into the tree. As we learn later, Merlin somehow is magically “trapped” in a tree also. Is this a random coincidence, or is the same person that caused Dopey to become a tree was the same person that caused Merlin to become a tree as well? Love is Stronger than Fear When Charming was finally honest and admitted that Emma was the Dark One, Arthur was quick to answer that the only thing to do about the Dark One is to destroy it. Charming and Snow continued the revelation by telling Arthur that the Dark One was their daughter.

I loved the Season 4 Finale! I think it was the best Season Finale of the series. I was in the Cincinnati area watching it with Daniel and Jenny Lewis and Jeremy Laughlin at their podcast season finale party. We had a great time and really enjoyed watching the finale together. I did notice the date at the beginning of the episode and the Christmas music playing in the background, so as soon as the Apprentice said that the author had just recently passed away I knew they were referring to Walt Disney. So I told Daniel on the first commercial break. Then this week after rewatching the episode I noticed the date on the letter from Star Publishing was the actual date of Walt Disney’s death. I have included a screen shot of that attached to this email. I think this is the best Disney Easter Egg of the entire series. I loved it. for most watchers this Easter Egg probably passed by un-noticed… But for those of us who know to look for Easter Eggs and are up on our Disney trivea… This one was AWESOME. We really appreciate it! News: Views: —————- Email points: From Marilyn Hi Jeff & Colleen, I have some random thoughts on the Lily episode and a couple of the previous episodes. Is it just me or did ONCE “jump the shark” by having Zelena magically avoiding death by turning into a green Lost-like smoke monster and going into the portal to the past? I could have sworn that it had been stated that once Zelena was stripped of her emerald necklace she lost her magic and thereby should not have been able to escape death at the hands of Rumple. Don’t get me wrong, I think the supposedly pregnant Zelena keeping Robin and Regina apart is an unexpected and entertaining plot twist. In regards to Cruella, out of curiosity I looked up the differences between a psychopath and a sociopath. It turns out that both types of personality have a pervasive pattern of disregard for the safety and rights of others. Symptoms start before age 15, so by the time a person is an adult, they are well on their way to becoming a psychopath or sociopath. Psychology researchers generally believe that psychopaths tend to be born, that it is a genetic disposition, while sociopaths tend to be made by their environment. That being said, I would think I would put Cruella in the psychopath category. I wonder if Edward and Adam might have borrowed this idea for Cruella’s background from a famous 50’s film called “The Bad Seed” in which a young innocent looking blond girl in pigtails goes around murdering people. I really liked the scene in the Lily episode where Regina talked Emma out of shooting Lily. It is great to see the character switch where Regina is now acting as the voice of reason whereas Emma is acting impulsively on her emotions now. I love Regina’s growth as a character with her resolve to try to stay on the good path. My one big disappointment so far, besides Hook not getting nearly enough screen time, is that we have not had more of Will Scarlet. Since there are not that many episodes left in this season, I sure hope that the ONCE writers correct this mistake sometime in the beginning of the next season because his character was the only reason that I stuck out watching Wonderland until it was cancelled. At first and second glances, it looks as if Zalena, in the basement, is wearing a dark cuff on her left wrist that reminds me of the cuff Greg and Tamara put on Regina to stifle her magic. Could this be the same cuff keeping Zelena under control? She only had one on. It’s a dark, leather-looking cuff. What do you think? After watching “Mother” a third time with the captions, I saw that Regina did say that she put the cuff on Zalena to keep her magic under control.
