Summary: History reminds us of the conditions Black People had to suffer under and be expected to compete academically with their Caucasian Peers. Conditions were so unequal that the Supreme Court stepped in with Brown Vs Board Of Education and forced school desegregation. Now schools districts across the country say that segregation orders from the 1960's should be removed. According to author and educator Dr. Beverly Tatum, “Students look to their teachers for guidance and help for living in an increasingly diverse and complex society, and educators are becoming more aware of the need to prepare their students to live in a multiracial society.”
