 102. Why We Don’t Implement Things We Know Will Change Our Business | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:20:25

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as I’ve grown my business, it’s that there’s one thing to know what to do and an entirely different thing to actually execute. As I reflected on my own personal growth journey while growing my business, I realised that all of the ways I’d stalled my businesses growth through being in a perpetual learning cycle. I’d dabble with strategies, moving from one tactic to the next without being intentional on truly going all in on what I’d learned, taking messy action, learning from it and then iterating and refining. In this episode, I break down the mindset shifts that allowed me to make a change and what that’s meant for the growth of my business.  100. What It Really Takes To Go From $0-500k In One Year With Ease | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:53:54

In this episode of the show, we’re challenging the idea that scaling your business needs to be slow and the story that it needs to be hard. Because neither of that was true for Kundalini business coach, Brianna Rose. In under a year, she was able to take her business from ideation to half a million dollars in revenue, simply by connecting with the impact the service she offered had on her life and inviting other women to work with her to usher in the same types of transformations. In our conversation, Brianna talks about why redefining success was such a huge piece of calling in the rapid growth she’s experienced. She shares how she’s been able to overcome fear to consistently get in front clients she can help, who are ready and excited to invest in what she has to offer. She touches on the real reason common marketing strategies may not be working for you and how to overcome that so you can step into financial overflow.  97. Sell Your Story Not Features: How To Use Storytelling To Attract Ready To Buy Clients | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:15

Storytelling in sales isn’t anything new. Any great salesperson will tell you that it’s stories, rather than facts and features that have the most powerful impact on how people feel about a product or service and whether they have a desire to buy. The hard part is often knowing exactly which stories we need to tell and how to share them in a way that positions to client or customer as the hero. Califlour Foods founder Amy Lacey is a master of storytelling. In fact, much of the traction her business experienced in the beginning was down to her ability to share how her experience of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and looking for healthy gluten alternatives is the foundation of the brand’s origin stories. Today, both Amy’s and the stories of the brand’s loyal followers, have become the fuel for their growth. A story Lacey posted about a woman who lost 169 pounds, thanks in large part to eating Cali’flour crust for seven months, went viral on the social media platform. The $50 Lacey spent on a Facebook ad to promote that post was well worth it. Her story sold $124,000 worth of pizza. It quickly catapulted the company from generating $7k months in 2016 to closing January 2018 doing $20million in sales.  93. Real Talk: How Much Ambition Can A Marriage Sustain? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:37

Finding fulfillment in both love and work isn't easy but it's possible. The majority of couples today are dual-career couples. As anyone who's part of such a relationship knows, this presents big challenges: trying to raise kids and achieve career goals while caring for and supporting your partner can seem impossible. Yet most advice for dual-career couples fails, framing the challenges as a zero-sum game in which one partner’s gain is the other's loss and solutions feel like sacrifices or unsatisfactory trade-offs. Jennifer Petriglieri rejects conventional, one-size-fits-all solutions and instead focuses on how dual-career couples can tackle and resolve the challenges they face throughout their lives--together. She identifies three key phases of exploration and personal growth in every couple's work-life journey, showing how partners must navigate these together to strengthen their bond. Each phase is crystallized with a question: How can we make this work? The first phase focuses on the logistics of combining two busy lives and often involves the demands of young children. What do we really want? In the second phase, couples learn to navigate their midlife crises in ways that allow each partner to continue to feel happy and fulfilled. Who are we now? With careers winding down and kids grown up, this last phase offers new freedoms--and uncertainties.  92. You Get To Do Business Your Way | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:56:55

We all have that nudge that says, “go this way.” But not everyone listens to it. Rachel McMichael was already running a multiple six figure business when she heard the call to pivot. Today she supports online entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through one core offer: an ongoing membership that fuses group coaching, video content and community. She cut her teeth in business, though, as a personal trainer, and also has success in direct marketing, online courses and Facebook Ads marketing. In this episode, Rachel calls the curtain on these pivots and the questions she’s asked herself to validate an idea. She walks us step by step through the roll out for her membership, how she approaches launches and customer acquisition and how she settled on her pricing. There’s one thing to grow a business, it’s an entirely other thing altogether to have the right systems to support that growth. That’s why Rachel breaks down exactly what the infrastructure looks behind the scenes and some of the things you should think about as your grow the number of people you serve. Setbacks are part and parcel of growing so we walk through how she approaches those moments where she falls short of her goals and how to use the feedback in those moments to drive your business forward.  90. Pricing, Money Mindset + Creating Offers That Sell | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:49:55

As anyone who’s run a business with attest, scaling a company isn’t simply down to strategies and tactics. As money coach Whitney Hansen explains, so much of it is working through the limiting money beliefs that keep us stuck; the kind that keep us playing small, afraid to ask for the sale and continuing to undervalue what we have to offer. In this episode of the show, Whitney walks us through exactly how she was able to unravel and heal childhood traumas around money so that she could not only get out of debt but also how she was able to educate herself about money in the process and now make a living teaching others what she’s learned. On top of providing practical advice like the important metrics to track in your business, how she organises her time using the 80/20 rule, she walks us through how to set revenue goals, healthy money habits to implement to improve your relationship with money and how to reinvest your profits in a way that no only moves your business forward about also feels good. Imposter syndrome and beliefs about not having enough skills or not being competent enough to sell your expertise as a service are just a few of the things that came up for her when she got started. She shares how she was able to unravel some of those beliefs so she could increase her pricing and broaden her impact. Naomi Mdudu is a speaker, business coach, and the founder of The Lifestyle Edit. She is the creator of the Thrive Mastermind, a 12-month high-level mastermind for service business owners ready to increase their income and impact with more systems and ease, less overwhelm and hustle.
