On a Friday edition of The Bench, John and Lance start the show with some discussion of the Rockets’ loss to the Warriors last night and Gerald Green’s fantastic performance since signing with the team. As the show continues, the guys continue to talk Rockets before they move to some NFL talk as they touch on a massive ESPN story about the Patriots. They finish out the hour with some discussion on tanking across all the major sports.
In the second and final hour of the show, the guys start off with some random discussion as they talk about some of their favorite YouTube videos and TV series. As the show rolls on, they circle back to the NFL as they discuss PFF’s position rankings, give their opinions on some of the best players across the league at a variety of positions, and weigh in on a variety of QB situations across the league. They finish out the show with a bang as Raheel sneaks into the studio.
In the first hour of The Bench, John and Lance open the show with some Rockets talk following their comprehensive win over the Magic last night. They follow that up with some NFL discussion about the draft and what the Browns might do after winning only one game in the past two seasons. They finish out the hour with a little bit more draft talk as they compare Andrew Luck to Sam Darnold.
John and Lance comment on the Texans vacant general manager position and positions of need on the Houston Texans roster. The guys discuss which positions the Texans should prioritize. The boys debate the top quarterback prospects in the draft class.
In the first hour of the Bench, the guys start the conversation with the importance of scheduling when it comes to college football games. The guys then talk about Rich Rodriguez and the allegations against him. They close out the hour by talking college football prospects like Braxton Berrios.
On the second hour the guys give a preview of the National Championship between Georgia and Alabama, they also talk about Baker Mayfield being told to “Humble himself” by Georgia Linebacker Davin Bellamy. Also the SEC guy joins the program to talk about Alabama and Georgia going to the National Championship.
On the first hour the guys recap yesterday’s CFB playoff semi-finals, Lance talks about Clemson and Alabama’s star power and how many prospects will be drafted in 2018. With Bill O’ Brien taking a leave of absence the guys talk about who will replace him, they also talk about this year’s free agents and if the Texans should go after Nate Solider and Gilbert join’s the program as well.
The guys talk about the NFL playoff picture and provide their take on who is the most feared team. The guys also talk about basketball IQ around the NBA.
The guys talk about the Houston Rockets extending losing streak of 4 games and weigh in on the injuries on the team. Dicks Sporting Goods internet glitch of World Series Houston Astros Jersey's make fans outraged.
On the second hour the guys talk about the Rockets' new jerseys and talk about other teams' and how well they look compared to Houston's. Adam Caplan joins the show to talk Texans and football.
Lance is joined by Chris Solis and they talk Tom Herman and the gesture he did in last night's game. Jeremy Botter joins the guys to talk MMA and the upcoming Holm vs. Cyborg match.
Lance talks about the Houston Rockets needing Chris Paul in order to win a championship. Lance also talks about the importance of a positive relationship between head coach and management in a sports organization
