Ken Hoffman brings in a "therapist" to analyze Granato's mental state. Raheel jumped with the guys to discuss the strength of the NBA's rookie class as well.
The guys discuss the near fight between the Clippers and Rockets as multiple Rockets tried to enter the Clippers locker room. The conversation shifted to Granato's disdain for how Houston handles Houston weather.
The guys started off the second hour of the show by continuing their breakdown of the NFL Playoffs, including Case Keenum’s incredible season with the Minnesota Vikings. After the legendary finish to the Vikings game, the guys discussed some of the most legendary calls of all time. With the signing of Pittsburgh ace Garrett Cole, the guys predicted the Astros future pitching rotation.

In the second and final hour of The Bench, the guys kick it off with more Texans talk as Del remains adamant that Bill O’Brien is incompetent. As the show continues, they talk a little NFL Playoffs, some more Texans, and are joined by the famous intern Juggalo Trey for an absolutely hilarious NASCAR segment.
To start the show, John and Lance talk a little Astros after the not so imminent Gerrit Cole trade ended up falling through. As the show rolls on, the guys discuss the Texans’ situation with their new GM and later, they talk Rockets after their victory over the Trailblazers last night. To finish out the show, they discuss the Texans’ future as well as the CP3, Damian Lillard kerfuffle at the end of the game.
The guys weigh in on key quarterbacks in college football and their strengths to help attract NFL teams. Lance gives his take on the controversy of the AP Poll voting system.
John and Lance weigh in the impact of the Houston Astros star player Jose Altuve and his impact on the team and their success going forward. Lance gives his take on the NFL Draft predictions as well the Houston Texans Draft strategy.

Following this, they discussed the roles of both Georgia and Alabama kickers in the national title game. Next, they talked about draft prospects at the quarterback position, including Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson.
On the first hour of the show, John and Lance broke down last night’s CFP Championship game, including the halftime quarterback switch from Jalen Hurts to Tua Tagovailoa, as well as predicting next season’s rankings. They wrapped up the first hour by sharing their opinions on Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey, as well as comparing Morey to the Astros’ and Texans’ General Managers.

After the break, comedian Steve Byrne joins the guys in the studio to discuss the profession of comedy, his process, other people in the industry, and to promote his show at the Houston Improv going on tonight and tomorrow. To round out the show, they circle back to talk Rockets and NFL draft as Raheel comes into work a little early.
