 106 - Haunted Green-Wood Cemetery | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:03:04

On this week’s episode, Brett and Amy get their subway passes out to explore one of the biggest tourist attractions during the last turn of the century and apparently one of the biggest spectral tourist attractions today. Welcome to Brooklyn, NY and the Haunted Green-Wood Cemetery. With a population in the millions and annual deaths of about 50,000, you may wonder where do they go(literally and figuratively), and we have some answers. This oddity is spooky, but don’t let that sway you from this … it’s part of the five bouroughs. If you want to get a bird’s eye view of the area, may we suggest Deno’s Wonder Wheel? This iconic NYC Landmark is almost a hundred yeats old and has a PERFECT safety record. Amy explains why she is too good to eat Katz’s Deli. You know, the 150 year old shining example of a classic Jewish deli? If you are a pinball wizard, there may be some incriminating entries on this week’s TOP 5.  OS - Poe Museum | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:53

Join Brett and Amy for an Oddspot that Amy has been waiting for since….like 7 seconds ago. If you are on the edge of your seat waiting for another cryptid show, well then you are in for a…. longer wait. This show is about Edgar Allen Poe and him being dead…again? Didn’t we cover this on an Odd Spot in October? Nope that was just a story. What about on episode 75? Nope that was about where Poe was buried. Try to keep up. This is an episode about where Poe lived until he died and not an episode about where Poe was after he died….totally different, and Amy is not obsessed with E.A.P. Tucked away on the tiny street of Amity in Baltimore, MD is the one time home of Edgar Allen Poe. What stories did he write here? What secrets are held here? Listen to learn all that and more on this episode of the Travel Oddities Podcast. Help us keep the show running by joining our Patreon!  OS - Grave of Bert Barrett's Left Arm | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 8:28

Okay, it’s Monday and this is not a full show. We know that it is a little underhanded, but some of us are all thumbs and we fumbled the regular show. We try to take a hands-on approach to our release schedule, but even with all hands on deck the glitches got the upper hand on us. With that being said, you should’t bite the hand that feeds you because forgiveness goes hand in hand with happiness. On the other hand, you still have an Odd Spot to get you through the day. Episode 102 will be on hand next Monday, so we don’t have any blood on our hands. This particular odd spot should be an armful of fun. Brett and Amy discuss the grave of Bert Barrett’s left arm in San Jose, California. How do you get a partial grave? What did they do with the rest of him? We will attempt to answer all of the important questions! It might be playing into our hand, but you should totally listen to this show now! Help us keep the show running by joining our Patreon!
