I have illustrated over 30 children's books for publishers and educational companies and have won a number of awards for my art and books. Most recently, The Mystery of Journeys Crowne won a Biblio 2009 Best of the Year."   Next on our show is Kraig Rasmussen. Kraig  describes himself as “a life long comic book artist, writer and rabid film geek.”  Rasmussen is the creator of the popular character Rocketboy, and is also a founder and contributing artist of White Rabbit Magazine, a comic book anthology featuring the works of seven creators, perfect bound and printed in full color.   "Shoes speak volumes about the lives we lead,'' says Kelly Jo Shows of Kennebunk, who is painting a series of portraits of artist shoes. ''They develop a character over the years, and are a road map of the hours spent in them and the places we have been.'' Shows, 44, collects shoes by word of mouth, and also sends out letters to artists she admires. She sets up the shoes in her studio, then begins making paintings of them just as she would if the subject were a living person. She's painted the shoes of painter Jamie Wyeth, Broadway performer Leslie Giammanco, and performance artist Goldie Peacock. They are a curious still-life form animated by the spirit of their donor. Her exhibition titled ''Shoe In'' from June 16 to July 14 at Heartwood College of Art.

Hello all, my guests for September are Susan Tuttle and Randy Richardson.  I have had the pleasure of reading  two of their latest works. Randy is the author of Cheeseland and Susan is the author of Tangled Webs.  I have to say that Tangled Webs is only one of Susan's many works. Two great authors, who could not be more different in their styles. Susan's Tangled Webs is a gripping look into what it would be like to be a daughter of a serial killer in a small town, while Randy's Cheeseland follows the life of two boys, thier mistakes and triumphs as they enter adulthood and beyond. Please join me as I learn more about these two intriguing guests. .

RRWL Tales from the Pages returns after months of hiatus on Thursday, August 23rd at 3PM Central, 4PM EST with my guest author, Amy McCorkle. Amy has written a steamy novel and so this show is for 18 and over. I know usually my shows are PG, but please be assured you won't want younger kids listening to this one! GLADIATOR is Amy's new novel and I am looking forward to discussing her process with her. We'll be having some fun on August 22nd when my guests will be Ruth Davis Hays, Karen Vaughan, J. Conrad Guest and Mar Preston. John Betcher is back with the next installment of his Beck Series: The Exiled Element also featuring Beck’s wife Beth who plays a huge role in this one. Followed by David Workman the author of Absolute Authority and his character Gordon Mc Allister  is one you definitely want to see more of. Rounding out the three is C.L. Kraemer. the author of Shattered Tomorrows based on real life incident that happened on May 7, 1981.     The show will spotlight the novels, we will talk about the art of writing a good mystery, define covert operations and C. Wow, the ttime is just running by this year. I can't believe it is August already. My two guest for this broadcast are Daniel Wilcox and Judy Salamacha. I've known Dan for many years, he is a member of my local writers group. He's written fiction and non fiction, but I think his first love is poetry. Among other things, Judy is the Program Director for the Central Coast Writer's Conference. Come by and give a listen.  We'll talk about the upcoming writer's conference and I'm sure Dan will be sharing some of his poetry with us.
