When I decided I wanted to join I knew I had a lot of work to do, it took two years to get down to 250lbs and pass the military physical but I did and I am at a healthy 200lbs now and have never been happier. I know how hard weight loss is and understand how easy it is to fall off the diet and exercise as I did that many times. Just stay positive about it and stay with it. Still haven’t walked or ran in the mornings this week. NUTRITION- Jake- Still drinking too much pop.  Tried Pepsi Max, better than Coke Zero. Zack- Doing ok, lost it on the weekend eating out alot (olive garden) FEEDBACK: Brice writes: I thought I would share my diet plan.  It is not a quick fix, but it is an all in one solution. Buy a sled dog. These creatures will solve all weight problems. 1.  You will be up every morning for a walk.  It will be at least one mile.  Anything less will result in the dog doing your landscaping for you.  Hope you like where it decides to put the trees. Zack did his first treadmill 5k and is working out with the kettle-bells.  Jake fell off the wagon because of a hectic week and because he let his FAT inner-self out.  Dr. Oz new recommendation, and what we think. Went to the doctor, got bloodwork done and told Doc about Fat2Fit Jake- 224.6  UP 1.4lbs from last week. but still down 3.4 lbs EXERCISE- Zack- Did my first 5k on the treadmill.. took forever Started kettlebell workouts Jake- Did more Fat than Fit this week.  Purposely give Zack a lead :)  Put in more physical time and labor at work this week.  Live in harmony with Fat and Fit. NUTRITION- Jake- Still counting calories.  Conscious of things I eat.  Monday I threw the plan out the window for the Memorial day cookout. Zack- Still eating crappy foods, need to start cooking Still no pop.. keep on truckin! Bought salad kit for lunches, granola yogurt for work. Started drinking a protein shake in morning LoseIt scanner is awesome! MAIN TOPIC- QUICK FIXES http://fox13now.com/2012/05/25/diet-pill-endorsed-by-dr-oz-flying-off-shelves/ Raspberry ketone FEEDBACK: Tom writes: I think it's great that you want to get in shape, but I think all those cleansing and diet chemicals are not the right way to go about it.  Believe it or not it's the simple things that work. Lots of exercise, small portions of lean foods.  No pop or other sugary drinks.  It's amazing how much time you have to exercise when you give up TV.  I don't believe 30 minute workouts work either.  You need a long sustained workout even if it is just walking. If you are looking for something to log your activity I highly recommend the FitBit (fitbit.com).  It's tiny and does a good job of automatically logging and sharing your info if you want too.  My wife got me one and it is pretty motivational. Welcome to the Fat2FitHQ podcast. I’m Zack and here we’ll be chronicling my hopefully incredible journey from Fat to Fit. Along for this ride is Jake with his own plan. You may know us from GunGuyRadio or the Top Shot podcast. Sit back and prepare to be motivated. Introduction of our stories... Zack- Basically I  go through how I got this way.. Jake- I’m 228 lbs. 6’1”  Feel too fat in my stomach, man boobs, and fat face.  Real lack of energy.  Feel healthy weight would be 190lbs. with muscle. Exercise Plans- Zack- FitShot program , explain what that is and why it interests me. Jake- Walking and Running in the mornings.  More walks with the family.  Running Book-Amazon Nutrition Plans- Zack- HCG to kickstart the weight loss Pounds & Inches HCG Book-Amazon Then followed by theories by Tim Ferriss in Four Hour Body. Four Hour Body- Amazon Jake- Count calories with itunes apps.  LoseIt! Iphone App But still be sure to eat enough so that I’m not hungry all the time.  Less junk food, less pop, less greasy stuff. Lots of healthy snacks in between. Plans for the podcast- Zack- Weekly podcast explaining where we are at with our journeys. Not a long show, want it basically a weekly motivator. Jake- It’s all about behaviour, (comparing this to getting out of debt.) Problem isn’t that I’m fat. It’s definitely going to be a journey, we are going to have setbacks, but let’s make sure we take many more steps forward than we do backwards.
