Richard and Linda give hope to and admire the parents of young children. They give their advise on disciplining children in a way that is easier then having a daily power struggle and using a stream of empty threats.
Richard talks about mommy dates and daddy dates. He talks about the importance of having a regular schedule for these dates, to help kids look forward to the dates. Linda Joins for the second portion and brings up the idea of grandma dates and grandpa dates.
The Eyres top ten parenting tips don't come in any particular order, and today they explore tip #7, The Ancestor Story Book--a way of giving your children identity and resilience by teaching them more about the lives and stories of their grandparents and great grandparents.
