Disney has released nine new characters posters for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Ron Howard’s upcoming film follows the origin of Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) as he teams up with a crew to pull off a heist. But why no Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca? What the hell, Disney??? The first, official trailer for Crazy Rich Asians has landed online courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. Jon M. Chu (Now You See Me 2) directs the romantic comedy that is based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan. The film stars Conastance Wu as a New Yorker who accompanies her boyfriend Nick (Henry Golding) to Singapore to attend a wedding.  Should the Fantastic Four Join the MCU? - Mailbag | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 00:30:24

Sunday, April 22nd: Perri Nemiroff and Mark Reilly answer your mailbag questions. 1. Considering most people say Iron Man 3 was so successful at the box office because it was the first film to follow up The Avengers, could we possibly see a similar effect on Ant-Man and the Wasp being the first to follow Infinity War? 2. Can you explain the difference between the Oscar categories of sound editing and sound mixing? 3. What is the most convincing and believable age transition between two actors playing a character such as Christian Bale vs his younger counterpart in Batman Begins or Michael Fassbender vs Ian McKellen as Magneto? 4. Do you think the Fantastic Four will be a part of the Phase 4 of the MCU if the merger happens in the next 3-6 months? 5. Have you ever re-enacted a scene from a movie when you were a kid and is there a movie now that your inner kid would re-enact? Should Netflix start their own yearly film festival to promote their own movies and possibly allow indies that aren’t theirs to take part in it as a response to the Cannes Film Festival ban? 4. What, in your opinion, are the most cliché and annoying selling points studios use to market movies? 5. What are some of your favorite/coolest movie memorabilia or merchandise that you guys own? Or anything you would love to have in your collection? Follow Dennis: https://twitter.com/ThinkHero Follow Perri: https://twitter.com/PNemiroff

Variety reports that Sony Pictures and Mattel have tapped the directing duo of Aaron and Adam Nee to helm the He-Man movie Masters of the Universe. The movie will be based on the beloved Mattel toyline, which spawned a successful animated TV series (1983-85) as well as a 1987 film. Now The Playlist is reporting that Fincher’s Netflix show Mindhunter Season 2 will be the directors next project. The production begins at the end of this month.  Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey Movie Finds Director - Movie Talk | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 00:51:24

Harley Quinn's spinoff movie finds a director, Mad Max sequels are in jeopardy due to lawsuit and Jason Clarke is in talke for a Pet Semetary remake. On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (Tuesday, April 17th, 2018) Mark Ellis, John Rocha, and Perri Nemiroff discuss the following: - Harley Quinn / Birds of Prey Movie Finds Director - ‘Fury Road’ Sequels in Doubt as Court Battle Between George Miller & WB Heats Up - John Ridley To Write, Direct Blumhouse Superhero Film ‘The American Way’ - Carrie Coon Is Playing a Villain in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ - Jason Clarke in Talks to Star in 'Pet Sematary' Remake - ‘Hotel Artemis’ Trailer Reveals Star-Studded Sci-Fi Showdown - New ‘Deadpool 2’ Spots Further Reveal the Sequel’s Plot Last November, George Miller and his production company Kennedy Miller Mitchell filed a suit against Warner Bros. alleging that the company reneged on paying him a $7 million bonus for bringing Fury Road in under a budget of $157 million. Warner Bros., meanwhile, claims the film did go over budget, and thus Miller is not entitled to a bonus after all. Now, per the Sydney Morning Herald, new court filings shed some light on what’s going on, and how this makes Fury Road sequels unlikely to happen. According to Deadline, Oscar winner John Ridley is bringing his most notable comic book creation to the big screen. Ridley has signed on to write and direct an adaptation of his 2017 series The American Way: Those Above and Those Below for Blumhouse Pictures. It has been confirmed that Carrie Coon, actress from The Leftovers and Fargo, will be appearing in Avengers Infinity War. According to Variety, directors Joe and Anthony Russo told the British magazine Radio Times that Coon will be lending her voice to the Black Order baddie Proxima Midnight. According to THR, Jason Clarke is in negotiations to star in Pet Sematary, Paramount’s new adaptation of the Stephen King novel. Starry Eyes' directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch are helming the new take on the material in which a doctor (Clarke) moves his family out of the big city to the country. The first trailer for Hotel Artemis has landed online, revealing Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce’s feature directorial debut. Written and directed by Pearce, the film takes place in a near-future Los Angeles and revolves around a secret members-only hospital that caters to criminals. On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (Monday, April 16th, 2018) Mark Ellis, Kristian Harloff, Jon Schnepp discuss the following: 1) R.I.P.: Oscar-Winning filmmaker Milos Forman (Amadeus, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and celebrated character actor R. The Czech director, whose parents were killed in Nazi concentration camps during World War II, had long been fascinated with cinema and the theater. His filmography includes such classics as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest; the 1979 comedy musical Hair, eight-time Oscar-winning film Amadeus, ’90s biopics The People vs. Larry Flynt and Man on the Moon, and the underrated 1967 Czech comedy, The Firemen’s Ball. Disney has released a new look at Solo: A Star Wars Story by way of an extended TV spot. The second Star Wars spin-off chronicles the origin story of Han Solo, charting his beginnings as a smuggler and the relationships that paved the way for his colorful personality. The movie is set for release on May 25th. Rampage won out at the box office this weekend after all as many analysts had the Warner Bros. film falling short of expectations and potentially losing out on the top spot to John Krasinski’s smash horror hit A Quiet Place. Per Deadline, Tim Miller has found his new Terminator and his new lead. Matador and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Gabriel Luna, who played Ghost Rider in the ABC Marvel series, will be the new Terminator for the film, starring opposite Colombian actress Natalia Reyes. According to The Daily Mail Ed Sheeran is in talks to join the cast of Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire filmmaker Danny Boyle’s upcoming musical comedy from Working Title.
