#107 - Adam Kokesh | 2020 Presidential Candidate Runs on Dissolving the Worst Obsolete System - Politics | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2943

Adam Kokesh is running for President of the United States in 2020 on a platform of an orderly, peaceful, and responsible dissolution of the U.S. Federal Government.Adam and I discuss today's technological information revolution and cultural emergence to continuously make the institutions of government less & less relevant in our lives. What do self-driving cars & augmented reality contact lens have in common? Less centralized interaction and more transparency and trust in a future world. In 2007, Kokesh joined Iraq Veterans Against the War and helped bring the organization to national prominence as its most visible leader. He first came to national attention for holding up a score card during Alberto Gonzales' testimony to Congress regarding the dismissal of U.S. Attorneys keeping track of how many times he said, "I don't recall." His photograph appeared in many national newspapers and resulted in dozens of TV interviews. He was later to become the story himself when prosecuted unlawfully by the Marine Corps (while he was in the inactive reserves) for staging a street theater protest that included a mock combat patrol, "to bring a small piece of the reality of war home to Washington, DC."Adam was an active supporter of Ron Paul and would eventually come to found and lead Veterans for Ron Paul, organizing a stunning march on the White House for vets to turn their back on Obama and raise awareness about military suicide. He was invited to speak at the 2008 Revolution March in DC organized by grassroots Ron Paul supporters and his speech that day is what put him on the map as a promising representative of the freedom movement. While in jail in Washington, DC in 2013, he began writing FREEDOM!, now considered a "bible for voluntaryism." The book is in its fourth printing and has been downloaded over 2 million times. With the platform he has built for himself, he was able to successfully self-publish and make it available for free in every digital format possible including audiobook. In a jailhouse interview with Fox 5 DC during that time, Kokesh announced his plans to run for President of the United States in 2020 on a platform of an orderly, peaceful, and responsible dissolution of the U.S. Federal Government.FREEDOM! was officially endorsed by the US Department of Justice when they banned it from federal prison facilities, declaring "the entire publication" to be, "a threat to the good order and discipline of the institution."- https://kokeshforpresident.com/Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/

Secret to Becoming More Creative in Your Everyday Life w/ Allen Gannett | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 356

Big data entrepreneur Allen Gannett overturns the mythology around creative genius, and reveals the science and secrets behind achieving breakout commercial success in any field. We have been spoon-fed the notion that creativity is the province of genius -- of those favored, brilliant few whose moments of insight arrive in unpredictable flashes of divine inspiration. And if we are not a genius, we might as well pack it in and give up. Either we have that gift, or we don’t. But Allen shows that simply isn’t true. Recent research has shown that there is a predictable science behind achieving commercial success in any creative endeavor, from writing a popular novel to starting up a successful company to creating an effective marketing campaign. As the world’s most creative people have discovered, we are enticed by the novel and the familiar. By understanding the mechanics of what Gannett calls “the creative curve” – the point of optimal tension between the novel and the familiar – everyone can better engineer mainstream success. In a thoroughly entertaining book that describes the stories and insights of everyone from the Broadway team behind Dear Evan Hansen, to the founder of Reddit, from the Chief Content Officer of Netflix to Michelin star chefs, Gannett reveals the four laws of creative success and identifies the common patterns behind their achievement.Allen Gannett is the founder and CEO of TrackMaven, a marketing analytics service whose clients have included Microsoft, Marriott, Saks Fifth Avenue, Home Depot, Aetna, Honda, and GE. He has been on the “30 Under 30” lists for both Inc. and Forbes. He is a contributor for FastCompany.com and has an upcoming book The Creative Curve, on the disciplined pursuit of creativity, coming out in June 2018 from Currency, a division of Penguin Random House. He was also once a very pitiful runner-up on Wheel of Fortune.- https://amzn.to/2JtWdK2- https://www.linkedin.com/in/allengannett/- https://twitter.com/AllenPlease do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, Twitter or via email mark@vudream.comHumans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2PodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/markymetryMedium - https://medium.com/@markymetryFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/
