Scott Bair, Raiders insider and beat reporter for NBCSN Bay Area, brings us the very latest from the workouts. Bair also talks about the stark difference between last year's workouts and this year's in Gruden's second year. We also talk about Derek Carr's outspoken week. The franchise quarterback opened up to the media about the speculation during the offseason he was on his way out in Oakland. We also talk about the new stability within the Raiders organization juxtaposed against the recent Los Angeles Lakers organization dysfunction with our own Chaz Osborne - a former long-time Lakers scout in the NBA.

We spend our Easter show talking about the abomination that is the Raiders schedule and the latest on the NFL Draft. The NFL schedule was released this week and there is no doubting the Raiders have a tough road ahead in 2019. In addition to having the most difficult schedule in the league, the team will have a stretch of 49-straight days where they won't play a home game. That's five weeks straight as a road team - including a game in London against the Chicago Bears. Is that fair? The NFL says it's just the way things work out but Raider Nation isn't buying it. We'll talk about the scheduling and what it may mean for Jon Gruden and his team. Many in the national media went bananas this week after news broke that Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock sent the team's scouts home earlier this week. Our own Chaz Osborne - an NBA scout with the Los Angeles Lakers for 10 years - says it's not a big deal and the scout's work is done. So why is it a story? Another example of the media slamming Gruden? We explore. We also talk to Paul Minor, a Raiders fan who is on the journey of his life to lose weight and everyone in Raider Nation is helping. There seem to be two camps within #Raider Nation: one thinks there is no possible way the team drafts a quarterback high in the draft. After all, you have franchise QB Derek Carr already in the silver and black. Then there are those who aren't sold on Carr or think it's a distinct possibility. We'll debate this and talk more about #Raiders draft targets. Fansided and Bleacher Report writer Mo Moton joins the debate as he believes the Murray to Raiders talk is a masterstroke of trolling by Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock.

We're back with a midweek podcast asking the question: could the Raiders take a quarterback in the first round? It was another crazy busy week for the Raiders as they signed two more free agents in linebacker Brandon Marshall and RB Isaiah Crowell. The Raiders continue their busy free agency acquisition this offseason signing a slew of players including linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Sr. NFL Analyst Chris Reed will be with us to break down what it means for the Raiders. The Athletic Bay Area's media writer Steve Berman will explore if the Bay Area media will continue to cover the Raiders after the move to Las Vegas & Wynn Las Vegas Race and Sports Book Director Doug Castaneda will give us early Raiders odds for 2019 and more.

The NFL New Year got off to a start with a bang for the Raiders and the rest of the NFL this week and we review it all with Pro Football Focus' Austin Gayle. Gayle will gives us his Raiders grade and tell us the big winners and losers league-wide this week. Jason Fitzgerald from OverTheCap.com joined us to give listeners a salary cap 101 education. Fitzgerald also told us how the cap has really changed the league and where the #Raiders are at for 2019 and beyond. Sporting News NFL writer Vinnie Iyer also tells us what the impact of the trade of Brown to the AFC West may be and also helps us with some final takeaways from the NFL Combine this year. Former Raiders wide receiver Jerry Porter - who also demanded a trade during his career - gives us a player's insight into the situation and how the massive contract might influence other signings and contracts for wideouts. Lastly, our own Hayden Nadolny calls in from Down Under and says the trade was brilliant for the Raiders and he'll tell us why. It's uncertain how the acquisition of Brown will impact the Raiders plans for a wide receiver-heavy draft in 2019. Even with adding Brown, the Raiders need depth at almost every position on the offensive side of the ball. Current wideouts on the roster include 2018 free agent acquisition Jordy Nelson, veterans Seth Roberts, Keon Hatcher, Dwayne Harris, and 2018 seventh-round draft pick Marcell Ateman.
