Tonight Chaz and I discuss investments people can look at as an alternative to savings accounts. We discuss stocks, mutual funds, money markets, CD's and just options other than sitting your money in an account that will only give you less than 0.5%.   Some of the Welcome to the wall crew joins us to discuss financial options early in their life.

In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated. If you don't know Christopher Nolan is one of my favorite directors.  His vision and story tellingability has fascinated me since "memento".  But proceeded from there with the Batman trilogy, inception", Intersteller, the Prestige and Insomnia the sleeper of the group.  I'm not a big fan of war movies but this was something I knew I would enjoy since Nolan had his hands on it.  He wrote the script as well.

Rebecca Colett is the lead for the Atlanta chapter of ChickTech, that supports women and young girls with tech.  She builds a community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing high tech industry. I fell in love with Rebecca and all her energy and how she is using it to help young girls learn how to code. She is smart and amazing. I really hope you enjoy this podcast. Alicia and I were excited to see the new movie from the new Planet of the ape series that are very very good.  Its the prequel before the classic 1968 Planet of the apes movie with Charlton Heston.  The emotional, exciting and very humanistic view of the movie is what keeps you engaged throughout this new edition of the series.  It also fills in some gaps of the 1968 version.  Worth seeing but here is our take.

Today Sean and I review the Imagine Dragons album and the creative mind of Vince Staples. Two Unique performers with similar ways of presenting their music and their sound.  Very impressive.  Thanks to Sean for finding new and exciting performers on a consistent basis.

A successful Los Angeles art-gallery owner's idyllic life is marred by the constant traveling of her handsome second husband. While he is away, she is shaken by the arrival of a manuscript written by her first husband, who she has not seen in years. The manuscript tells the story of a teacher who finds a trip with his family turning into a nightmare. As Susan reads the book, it forces her to examine her past and confront some dark truths.

Today Chaz and I  return to our financial series with revisiting plans we helped Jermey with on our last Financial episode.  The major long term goals we had Jermeey addressing were A new bank account, a credit card and what would be his new living arrangement (purchase and renting).  We get something totally unexpected but hold on to hope that our advice would not fall on deaf ears.

Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine - distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man - but when the Vulture emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened On this episode Alicia and I go to the late night showing of Spiderman Homing.  As part of our Comic book series, we switch from DC Comics to Marvel Comics.  With this teenager based movie, we prepare ourself for what we don't know what to expect.  The previews were fun but not  a go out and run to (Like the Black Panther trailer).

This episode of Women Tech talk, Alicia and I go over the new calling features of the existing Amazon Echo devices as well as throw our opinions on the two new products Amazon has introduced to the market before Google or Apple had a chance to introduce any improvements or products during their conferences (Google I/O and Apples WWDC). Amazons new products are the Echo Look  a camera enabled device for fashion and the Echo Show that has a tablet size screen attached to it.    We also put our two cents into the "Whole Foods" acquisition and what does it mean to the grocery market in the future. Whole Foods Market was acquired by Amazon June 16, 2017 at 13.7 billion dollars  

The team returns for a final discussion of the NBA season and talk about the recent trades.  The still pending trades and How we think the East and the West will pan out for the upcoming season.  We revisit some of the cast predictions and observation
