Ep. 88 Osher Günsberg, Back After The Break & Lucky To Be Alive! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:10

Osher Günsberg has hosted some of Australia’s most successful TV shows including channel V music channel, Australian Idol and all The Bachelor shows. He was also the voice over for the Bondi Rescue TV show for many years and host of some of the nation's biggest radio shows.  You might remember Osher as Andrew Gee from his channel V and Australian Idol days.... Yes, he’s changed his name. That’s how much of a turn his life has had, with a spiritual journey and to help move away from some dark and tough times in his past, the name change in his belief, was a necessary and powerful process! Osher is a big deal in the TV and radio world, but that's not the reason I was so grateful and interested to get him onto this podcast. I believe his new found path and passion with his book and podcast is changing and saving peoples lives. Hence why I stuck with the theme that I did in this interview, which is mostly about his battles with his mental health and his perspective of the world from this space, and his new found interest and respect for his brain and his existence as a human being! However, let me warn you, Osher's life journey involves a lot of drugs, a lot of drinking, and many battles with his mental health. Including a diagnosis of schizophrenia and paranoid delusions, anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD. It’s therefore paramount that I highly recommend if you’re in need of reaching out to professionals that you do so through lifeline who can be reached on 13 11 14. He’s worked in the mining industry and enjoyed the financial freedom and even time rosters. He’s experienced some dark and tough times in life that has made him stop, breathe, think of his journey ahead and ask the tough questions like: - Is this really what I want? - Am I really fulfilled with all this money and all these toys? - Is there more to life than this?  Ep. 83 From Bullied & Beaten To Belief & Impact, with Brett Robbo | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:58

This solo episode is to give some different perspectives around belief and how comparing ourselves with others is an unhelpful method for cultivating belief. I discuss some big challenges i've had in life, including being bullied and beaten and I unpack where I believe my belief comes from and how you can cultivate yours! This topic stems from a recent podcast I was interviewed on and stumped with a question about people comparing themselves to me and feeling like they couldn't achieve some of things i've achieved because i'm just the type of person that creates belief around anything. This alarmed me and I want to make it very clear that my belief comes from many mindset shifts in my life with all the challenges i've faced. On a lighter note, we now have a facebook group for the podcast community. It’s a safe space to allow you legends to connect and learn, share and grow, celebrate each others triumphs and support each others challenges and adversities. You can find it at your life of impact podcast community when you search in the groups section.

Ep. 82 Fitness Behaviours & Creating Belief, with Bevan James Eyles | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:39

Bevan James Eyles is a fitness coach, ironman athlete, author, podcaster and all round genuine legend. He’s been working in the fitness industry for almost 2 decades and I highly respect and value his community ethos and “movement is medicine” approach to help people get active - active and moving to improve their quality of life, not to be elite athletes. This episode isn’t just about fitness but i kick it off asking about what fitness behaviours mean to him because that’s what he does best and there’s some great perceptions and ideas that can help ALL of us, The real gold comes when Bevan shares his story of the first 20 years of his life and all of his addictions, habits and simple things he couldn’t do, like reading or writing, and then you look at what he’s achieved in the past 20 years of his life, you’ll be inspired to take action and give yourself a bit of kick in the butt and take the action required for us to live more true to ourselves and fulfil our potential. Bevan is a great example that we as humans are mostly limited by our belief systems, not our external environments! In this episode we discuss: - 3 epiphany’s that Bevan had that completely changed his life - Why he believes that his real job as a fitness professional is to be a community leader - How we can all learn fitness behaviours to improve our quality of life - How he teaches belief - Why small wins are crucial for personal development - His Robyn Hood approach to help bridge the movement and fitness gap in lower socioeconomic areas of his home country of New Zealand - And so much more. Be the change you want to see in the world…. What are your beliefs about how the world “should” be?  Are you living your life congruently to allow for this? In this short episode I unpack some different perspectives of impact to help us think a bit differently about our impact in this world.  I also cover our new Impact Journey and discuss what's available to you awesome listeners to enhance your impact, in an aligned way.  If you're committed to learning more about yourself than ever before and joining us for The Impact Journey, jump onto yourlifeofimpact.com/impactjourney to find out more info and sign up before it's too late.

Pete Evans is an internationally renowned and household chef that has copped a lot of criticism in the media for his beliefs in many different areas of the human experience. Pet is also restaurateur, author and television host for My Kitchen Rules. His passion for food and a healthy lifestyle inspires individuals and families around the world. Pete Evans to some people is a name they actually despise, to others it’s a name they idolise. And who is Pete Evans to me? He’s a human I’m deeply intrigued by! Pete is also known as Paleo Pete. He believes in the paleo way of eating. But I’m not a paleo. But I’m also not against paleo. I didn’t get Pete on the podcast to talk about the paleo way of eating, I wanted Pete on the show because I believe he is creating a profoundly positive impact in this world. I also believe he understands human behaviour and his existence and how we operate as humans better then many others. He’s an example of understanding the paradigm shift and living true to himself.  In this episode we discuss: - What the human experience means to him - Why he’s done thousands of “therapy” sessions & what he’s learned about himself in the process - Why he believes it’s so easy for us as humans to make the wrong food choices - Why it needs to be a way of life to be brutally honest with yourself - How to eat healthy when you can’t afford the organic, grass fed more expensive options You can find Petes documentary called The Magic Pill on Netflix.
