What Does the Word Say?
Summary: What Does the Word Say? is produced by Grace and Glory Media, an outreach of Grace Valley Christian Center under the leadership of founder and Senior Pastor, Rev. P. G. Mathew. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the only rule for faith and conduct. Therefore, the purpose of this podcast is to explore biblical theology with a practical emphasis, always keeping in mind that what the Word says we must believe and obey. Our goal is to help build God’s church by edifying Christians and challenging unbelievers with the gospel, which alone is the power of God unto salvation.

A Christian woman is to be a capable, strong, intelligent, educated and hard-working person. But just as there is voluntary submission and authority within the godhead, so a wife is to be under the authority of her husband. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/100-biblical-womanhood/
Man was created with true knowledge, righteousness and holiness after the image of God. The fact that God made man a rational and moral creature in his image enables man to worship God. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/99-man-is-made-to-worship-god/
Man is made in the image of God. This includes being made male and female and having a reasonable and immortal soul. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/98-created-male-…emale-with-souls/
The Bible commands us to test ourselves to be sure we are in the faith and John’s first letter gives three types of tests: doctrinal, moral and social. The moral and social tests are summarized by saying we should love others, but love must be defined biblically. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/97-test-your-faith/
God did not need to create man, it was a completely free choice. He created man for his own glory, but he does derive pleasure from his people, we are called his treasured possession. The Bible commands us to test ourselves to be sure we are in the faith and John’s first letter gives three types of tests: doctrinal, moral and social. Being a good theologian does not save you, but all Christians must believe certain fundamental doctrines. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/96-why-did-god-create-man/
Easter is when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died for their sins and was raised for their justification. Christians were chosen in Christ to be conformed to his image and all true Christians will be sanctified in this life. They will not be perfect, but there will be visible change. And Jesus Christ is the standard to which they are to be conformed. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/95where-are-we-going/
Man either exists as the result of natural processes, or he is created. The first is so wildly improbable as to be practically impossible. The second implies that we are creatures made by God for a purpose. This fact is the most important thing we must know as we begin to study biblical anthropology. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/94-biblical-anth…id-man-come-from/
God’s providence is his sustaining and governing all of creation to bring about the purposes he decreed before the creation of this universe. He uses human actions and prayers as part of the means to bring about his decrees. We have a degree of real freedom, what we do really matters, and we will be justly held accountable for our actions. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/93-gods-eternal-…n-responsibility/
God sovereignly rules over all of his creation all of the time, sometimes through ordinary means and other times through extraordinary, or miraculous means. Miracles are rare and no one can cause them to happen at will, but they do still occur. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/92-gods-providen…ncludes-miracles/
God governs every aspect of his creation to accomplish the purpose for which he created it. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/91-gods-government/
God providence refers to his preserving and governing all his creatures and all their actions. He preserves their existence and the properties with which he created them. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/90-god-preserves-all-things/
The Bible clearly teaches that God providentially controls every detail of history. He most often uses secondary agents, including the physical laws, which he established. There are no chance events. God’s rule is both personal and moral. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/89-gods-providen…he-biblical-data/
God’s providential control of the affairs of this world was commonly accepted prior to the 20th century, and is still true today. There is no such thing as chance. When we speak of chance events, we are saying that the event was not planned or controlled by people. But God is in control of everything. There is no detail too small for him to be concerned about. He could not bring about his promised ends if any detail was outside of his control. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/88-god-provident…les-every-detail/
God is free to do all that he wills and he has the power to do so. He is the Sovereign Lord of all, Perfect, blessed, beautiful and deserving of all glory and praise. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/87-gods-freedom-…mmary-attributes/
God is sovereign even over our sins. He accomplishes exactly what he has decreed will happen, but we are still responsible for our sins. God’s sovereign will and our subordinate wills work together to accomplish his purposes; this is called concurrence. God freely chose to create and to redeem a people for himself, he was under no compulsion to do so. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/86-god-wills-to-use-even-our-sin/
