What Does the Word Say?
Summary: What Does the Word Say? is produced by Grace and Glory Media, an outreach of Grace Valley Christian Center under the leadership of founder and Senior Pastor, Rev. P. G. Mathew. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the only rule for faith and conduct. Therefore, the purpose of this podcast is to explore biblical theology with a practical emphasis, always keeping in mind that what the Word says we must believe and obey. Our goal is to help build God’s church by edifying Christians and challenging unbelievers with the gospel, which alone is the power of God unto salvation.

God’s sovereignty over salvation gives Christians comfort and great cause for praise and thanksgiving. He will save all those he has chosen. God’s call is effectual and irresistible. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/130-gods-sovereign-call/
God sovereignly determines when, where and to whom we will be born, along with every other detail of our lives. In the same way, he sovereignly chooses whom he will save and his choice is not based on anything we do. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/129-unconditional-election/
Lutherans and Arminians claim that all men have the ability to accept God’s offer of salvation, but that is not the biblical doctrine. Reformed theology teaches the correct, biblical, doctrine that unregenerate people are God’s enemies and cannot accept this offer. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/128-irresistible-grace/
We must be righteous to be in heaven, but no one is righteous in himself. We must be born again and have the perfect righteousness of Christ imputed to us to be saved. We don’t want God to treat us justly or we will be condemned, we want mercy. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/127-we-arent-the…of-our-salvation/
Our greatest need is salvation, which requires that we be justified in God’s sight. Because of our total depravity this is humanly impossible, but God makes it possible by causing us to be born again, or regenerated. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/126-we-need-new-…st-be-born-again/
False Christianity is focused on this life. This sort of religion may make this life more enjoyable, just like meditation, proper diet and exercise can. But it cannot help us eternally; life is short and eternity never ends. God is just and must punish sin, and we are sinners, therefore our greatest need is for salvation. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/125-mans-greatest-need-salvation/
Jesus Christ is not just our example, he is the sacrifice that atoned for our sins. He is our Savior and Lord. God is love, but his love is holy and just and must punish sin. Liberal theology, which does away with the offense of the gospel, also does away with its power to save. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/124-jesus-christ…-savior-and-lord/
Christians are predestined to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ, so our responsibility is to imitate him. He always obeyed his Father and so should Christians. The Bible is our only infallible revelation of God’s commands. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/123-jesus-christ-our-example/
True Christians are new creations. Regeneration brings radical, but not total, change and as a result Christians lead obedient lives as they are being transformed into the likeness of Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/122-christians-a…eing-transformed/
The Holy Spirit enables all true Christians to walk in the obedience of faith. Our obedience is never perfect, but without obedience there is no true saving faith. Obedience is the proof that we have been born again. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/121-christians-w…edience-of-faith/
Obedience is essential for salvation. True Christians are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone and the basis of their justification is his merits alone. But if we have been born again, we are new creations and will live differently. We are being transformed, or sanctified, and our lives will demonstrate that fact. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/120-christians-obey/
In one sense Jesus is the King of all creation. But for him to be our Savior-King we must first be born again so that we can enter the kingdom of God by faith. We will then willingly submit to Jesus as our King who sits on David’s throne forever. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/119-jesus-christ-our-king/
Jesus Christ is our High Priest. He offered himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice and he continues to intercede for us. His sacrifice was efficacious and will never be repeated. The Roman Catholic mass is unbiblical. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/118-jesus-christ…reat-high-priest/
Sin is rebellion against God and profanes his holy name. He must deal with it. God’s wrath is his reaction against sin. In order to be saved, we must have the penalty paid, God’s just wrath must be satisfied. In addition, our relationship with him must be healed, we must be reconciled. Jesus does all of this through his sacrifice of atonement. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/117-jesus-christ…ice-of-atonement/
Jesus will continue to exist as the unique God-man forever. He fulfills the offices of Prophet, Priest and King to his people. As the final and ultimate Prophet he not only reveals God’s Word to us, he is God’s Word. http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/podcast/116-jesus-the-final-prophet-of-god/
