This is a new DMR HT from Hytera made for the Amateur Radio Community. In this episode I will show the menu of the radio and the CPS software, and key up a local DMR repeater.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
With the recent update of RadioID.net and Ham-digital.org to take over the DMR Subscriber database from DMR-MARC, I thought it would be a good idea to get an interview with the owner of the site, and some insight into what has been transitioned, how the current system works, and what we can expect to see in the future.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
HAMCOM is one of my favorite shows each year. It is the ARRL West Gulf Division Convention and it takes places in my home-area. This year they moved back to East Plano, where it used to be held several years ago, and the ticket sales showed tremendous growth. Take a look at this video and let me know what you think - I think we're going to see a large increase in Hamcom activity over the next few years.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
Today I get to catch up with Mike and Jack from the Dayton Hamvention board of directors to talk about what they learned from the 2018 Hamfest and what they are planning for 2019.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
In this segment, I get to speak with KI6ZUM about the Zumspot and I get a terrific interview with Marc from ABR Industries about the high-quality coax they produce for all areas of Amateur Radio.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
In this segment, I was able to talk to Elecraft about 2 of their new products - the KPA1500 legal-limit amp, and a new line of QRP antennas about to be released for the KX-series of radios.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
Back to the Dayton (Xenia) Hamvention for 2018. In this episode, I get to catch up with Chris from Buddipole and also talk to Yaesu about their upcomging HF SDR rig, due to drop later this year.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
TYT has released a new Dual Band DMR Radio in the form of their classic MD-380, which they have deemed the MD-UV380. It looks the same, feels the same, and acts nearly the same, except with updated firmware and features, and having both bands for DMR. Take a look at this video, and check for updates on the website:http://livefromthehamshack.tv
From the Cowtown Hamfest in January of 2018, Mark Culross, KD5RXT, presents a forum on how to setup a MESH network, then attach devices together with a private WIRES-x room using Yaesu System Fusion equipment and protocols.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
It has been a great 3-years of producing this video. I've learned much, met some great people, and enjoyed learning more (and teaching others) about Amateur Radio. I'm excited to see what the next year holds! Thanks to YOU for watching and subscribing!http://livefromthehamshack.tv
In this video I show a comparison of the Openspot from SharkRF and the Nanospot from Micro-node. Both of these devices work quite well and are great choices for micro-repeaters. I'll show setup software for each unit and also compare features.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
This will be the 4th or 5th video I have done on or about an RFinder device. This Android DMR and phone device has been my daily carry for about 1.5-2 years now, switching between models, but all from RFinder. I like this device, I believe in it, and it works very well. Expect to see more videos on these devices in the future as new ones are released. This video talks about the newest K1 model.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
Introduction to a CBridge Control Center for DMR Repeater routing. The CBridge was the first, and is still the most powerful, solution for routing DMR repeaters over the internet and connecting them together to form talkgroups and networks. In this episode I will explain what a CBridge does, how it works, and show what it looks like. Expect more episodes like this upcoming.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
Coverage of the Greater Houston Hamfest in Rosenberg, TX for 2018http://livefromthehamshack.tv
The Acadiana Amateur Radio Association holds an annual Hamfest in Rayne, LA each year. This was my first time to attend this show, and I really enjoyed it. I wish I had been able to record more interviews, but another YouTuber was there, and I didn't want to double-up with those guys. So I hope you enjoy the footage I recorded.http://livefromthehamshack.tv
