Ep 13: Stop Saying I'll Start Tomorrow | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:07:12

Struggling to find the motivation to stop saying "I'll start tomorrow"? I get it. It's not just about how badly you want to make a change, sometimes life gets in the way! You're busy! Between work, family, friends, significant others, fur babies, and general life obligations, squeezing in a miserable 30 minute gym session or run can feel impossible. Let's talk about saying yes to yourself and making a change once and for all.

Ep 12: Authenticity and Our Need To Be Liked | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:10:15

Authenticity is a buzzy word that people LOVE to throw around. But it's hard to be authentic because we live in a hypercritical social media obsessed world where "likes" have created a new form of status and success. For me, being authentic is infinitely more important than being liked because I spent a long time deeply insecure, hiding behind a false sense of self. Then my brother died and I shattered. With time, I realized that it was so much easier to be the person I was instead of convincing the people around me I was someone I wasn't.

Ep 11: Why We Struggle To Call Ourselves Real Runners | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:11:43

Struggling to call yourself a "real runner"? I had the hardest time believing that I was a runner for years! I know the “real runner” versus “fake runner/not real runner/imposter runner” (what do we call ourselves when we’re in runner limbo?) debate seems to be black and white, but for anyone struggling to assume the believe that they're a real runner, it’s a lot harder than just getting permission to call ourselves runners.

Ep 10: Redefining What Strength Looks Like | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:11:34

This morning, I had an article I wrote for Outside Magazine go live about challenging the health and fitness industry to redefine what strength looks like. But instead of feeling excited at the opportunity to share my story, I just felt disappointed because I don't think that I'll ever actually see the change that I want to see in the industry. All my life the health and fitness world has shown me what they think strength looks like and it's never looked like me. Today, I call bullshit. But I need your help to show the world that we're not motivated to acquire a body we don't have. We're motivated to pursue the strongest versions of ourselves.

Ep 9: Personal Best vs. Personal Record | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:15:08

Personal best (PB) and personal record (PR), two words that arguably mean the same thing. Or do they? In 2015, I learned firsthand what it felt like to run a personal best and it didn't really have anything to do with my pace. I was giving everything I had with joy every step of the painful way. It was the closest I'd ever come to embracing pain in a way that was actually fun. So when you're chasing a goal that feels impossible, fills you with doubt, and scares the crap out of you, the only way you'll give your best is if you're having fun.

Ep 7: How To Get Active And Not Hate Your Life | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:14:59

I was never a very active person. To be honest, I spent most of my life working extra hard to avoid physical activity. Here's the thing, working out is really hard. And it really sucks in the beginning! From losing over 75 pounds to becoming a runner, here's what I've learned about falling in love with the fit life, becoming a runner, and not hating your life along the way.

Ep 6: What I Hate About Social Media | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:14:31

Ever scroll through your feed and just bored? Or annoyed? I DO! Today, I want to talk about why we struggle to reveal our the parts of ourselves we feel compelled to conceal or embarrassed by in addition to our curated best of moments. It's brave to be vulnerable. And risky. But everyone loses when we fail to share our stories in their entirety.

Ep 5: SHAME | File Type: Unknown | Duration: 00:17:36
