EP 111: Hunt Nevada: The Full Guide to Hunting the Silver State with Robert Hanneman. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:24:32

Welcome to the show, today we have another awesome state breakdown from Mr. Robert Hanneman of Huntin Fool Magazine. Robert is a wealth of knowledge and I can’t thank him enough for jumping on the show and sharing his knowledge. Applying in Nevada can be expensive, but the one thing I do like is that with the bonus point system that Nevada does use at least there is a chance of drawing without max points. Also if you are going to apply for one species in Nevada, you mind as well build points for all species if you are going to purchase a non refundable hunting license. These state breakdowns are probably a little too nerdy for some, but If you want to go on great hunts or just new and exciting hunts, knowing how to get a good tag is crucial. If you enjoy this episode or enjoy the podcast as a whole be sure to share it with a friend. The podcast has been really exploding in growth the last few months and I can’t thank you guys enough because it is all from you guys and word of mouth. Thank you so much for tuning in every week and please enjoy this great conversation with Robert Hanneman, and for more info from Robert check out Huntin Fool Magazine.  EP 109: Hunting in Colorado, Tips for Planning your Colorado Hunting Adventure with Brady Miller and Brandon Evans | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:41

Welcome to the show, today I am joined by Brady Miller and Brandon Evans of goHUNT.com to get some tips on hunting Colorado and how to apply. Overall we focus most of this episode on those looking to hunt over the counter or with very few points. We do bounce around a fair amount, but all in all there are some great tips throughout. Applications for colorado are due by midnight on the 4th of april. You can apply online for the elk deer and antelope but you will need to mail in your sheep, goat and moose applications. For clarification on the sheep draws, you do need to choose between desert’s and Rocky’s. Deserts do not have a points system and rocky mountain bighorn’s do use the preference point system. With the Rocky Mountain sheep you are not eligible to draw until your forth year of applying. For a Full breakdown of how that system works click here. There are a few new changes in Colorado regulations this year, so if you are planning on going be sure to check those out. Colorado was nice enough to make a cool little video on all the changes so I will add that to the show notes as well (New Regulations Video) . If you are planning on hunting Colorado in the near future this episode is a must listen. If you’re not planning on it, or you haven’t considered it, just check out our previous episode with Brady on is DIY 200 inch Colorado buck which is episode 094. I know that episode alone made me want to go to Colorado and chase mule deer. I Hope you guys enjoy this episode and if you have any questions about how to apply, where to apply, or anything at all, be sure to join The Rich Outdoors Insider Facebook Group and myself of Brady or any of the other listeners will be happy to help. We are also going to start doing some gear giveaways in there as well. Alrighty on to the show.  EP 108: Colorado Mule Deer, Hunting Partners, and Taking Kids Hunting with Muley Matt | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:09:10

In this episode I am joined by Matt Howell @muleymatt and one of his hunting buddies Jason DeWeese @swchunter. You may know Matt as Muley Matt on Instagram and we actually talk about how the name Muley Matt came about, social media and some of the good things about social media, even though we tend to dwell on the negatives of it. We had a great time chatting about the mule deer hunting in Colorado, finding good bucks, and quite a bit about hunting with your kids. Matt is actually trying pretty hard to get his first bull this year, and yes naturally I turned a podcast with a guy named Muley Matt into a conversation about elk. My apologies to the diehard mule deer fans who get tired of me talking about elk but it happens. Overall a great episode and just in time as it is time to start thinking about Colorado draws. In fact this Thursday, Brady Miller will be back on to help us break down the Colorado, so be sure you catch that show before you put in. Real quick before the show I have some Phelps Game Calls to giveaway for a 5 star shout-out. In fact I have a new bugle tube and some of the new amp frames this week. These things are amazing, hands down the best diaphragm I have used. We are going to give another set away next Tuesday so if you want to win a new bugle and amp reeds go leave a review.  EP 100: 100th Episode Switch Up! Cody Rich Gets Interviewed by The Gritty Bowmen. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:31

For the 100th episode I really wanted to do something different, so I thought I would flip the script and let fellow podcaster and friend Brian Call of the Gritty Bowmen interview me. I mean if your going to let another host take over your show, you can’t ask for a nicer guy to do the job than Brian. I gotta say it was a bit nerve racking to have the mic flipped on you, but Brian is a great interviewer and did a great job digging stories out of me that very few people know, like that time I broke my neck and was paralyzed face down in the water. All in all it was a lot of fun and I gotta thank Brian for taking the time to jump on the show.  EP 099: The Experience: Dan Catlin, Jason Price, and Dallas Hemeyer. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:17

This week I am joined by The Experience crew Jason Price, Dan Catlin, and Dallas Hemeyer. We talk about setting goals in hunting and in life, hunting with friends, and how to have fun on stressful hunts. The best part about getting to do a podcast with a whole hunting crew, is that you often get to hear the real story behind the hunt. There are plenty of laughs throughout this episode and I had a great time chatting with the guys.
