DC 69 – Travelling For Magic, Some Ins and Outs of M11 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:07

It’s Friday once again, and show 69 is now available on the interwebs! This week kicks off with a look at travelling for Magic, i.e. travelling to a big event like a GP or Pro Tour. I go over some tips and tricks that I’ve picked up while travelling to events. After that is a look at some cards that will stick around in Magic 2011, and also some cards that won’t. As always, please send any comments or suggestions you might have to show@deckconstruct.com, and don’t forget to check out the DC forums, too! You’ll also find DC in the shiny worlds of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr. Thanks for listening! - DC Jet Squad Links Core Samples, Tom LaPille’s article at MTG.com.  DC 68 – Post-ROE Standard, Grand Prix DC | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:16

Another Friday rolls around, and it’s time for another episode of DeckConstruct, namely number 68! The show is all about Standard this week. First, I go over the current decks in the Standard meta – which cards they run, how they work and so on. After that, I talk a little bit about Grand Prix DC, which happened last weekend. It was the biggest ever North American GP, and something interesting stuff happened there! As always, your comments and suggestions are extremely welcome at show@deckconstruct.com.  DC 66 – Chaos Decks, Legacy Results | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:17

After a computer meltdown, two weeks of waiting and a change of government, show 66 is finally on the netwaves! Thanks for your patience while I got things sorted out. This week, I talk about chaos decks, a way to add some spice to your multiplayer games. I explain what a chaos deck is, and go over the chaos deck I’m currently building. After that is a look at some recent Legacy results, including the Richmond Legacy League and the Legacy National Championships. As always, your comments, feedback and chocolate suggestions are welcome on email line one at show@deckconstruct.com. Also, find DC in Web 2.0 land at Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.  DC 65 – Catchup, Rise of the Eldrazi Pre-Release, ROE Cards | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:10

It’s Friday, it’s St. George’s Day (if you’re in England) and it’s time for series 6 to kick off with show 65! This week’s show starts with a quick cup of tea and a natter about what’s happened over the last few weeks while DC has been “off-air”. After that is a recap of the Richmond pre-release for Rise of the Eldrazi. I didn’t do so well, but had fun and it was an enjoyable day. Finally this week is an unintentionally long section on ROE cards that have caught my eye. I suppose there’s a lot to talk about when a new set comes out! As always, your feedback is always appreciated at show@deckconstruct.com. Don’t forget that if you want to write for DC, the address is writers@deckconstruct.com.  DC 64 – Dragonstorming a PTQ, Larking Legacy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:26

Show 64 is now online! It’s the last show of series 5. This week I go over the Extended PTQ from last weekend, where I played Dragonstorm. I talk about things went, how the deck did, and a few things I’d change if I were to play it again. After that is a recap of last night’s Richmond Legacy League season 2 week 4 action. I played David Campano’s Martyr Lark deck, an Extended deck, albeit with some Legacy-legal cards mixed in. As always I’d love to hear your feedback at show@deckconstruct.com. Also, why not drop by the forums? You’ll also find DC on Web 2.0 at Le Twitter, Le Facebook, Le YouTube and Le Flickr.  DC 63 – Lessons From Wargaming, Announcements | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:52

Another Friday, and another episode of DeckConstruct is online, hungry for bandwidth like a bandwidth zombie… or something. In this week’s show, I talk about things I’ve learnt through playing wargames, and how I’ve tried to apply those things to Magic. It’s actually quite interesting how things that you wouldn’t think could cross over actually do. In the second half, I have a couple of annoucements to make! As always, I’d love to hear (or, rather, read) your feedback, comments and suggestions at show@deckconstruct.com. Also, why not drop by the forums?  DC 62 – Rise of the Eldrazi, Reprint Policy Change | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:16

No delays this week, show 62 is now up and about, ready for your ears! This week kicks off with a look at the recent Rise of the Eldrazi pooled spoilers. Some interesting cards from the upcoming set were spoiled, so I thought I’d talk about them a bit. After that, I discuss the recent change to Wizards’ Reprint Policy, in which they closed a loophole that may affect the future of Legacy. As always, I’d love to hear your comments, questions, suggestions and brownie recipes at show@deckconstruct.com. Also, why not drop by the forums and say hi?  DC 61 – Sideboarding | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:16

Timeshifting complete! DC 61 is now on-air, in an internet kind of way. It’s a short show this week. Anyway, this week I look at sideboarding, a much-misunderstood topic in Magic. The first half of the show kicks off with general advice on constructing your sideboard, and what to consider when doing so. After that is a look at sideboarding during a match. Which cards to take out? Which ones to put in? Why is it round 5 and I still haven’t had lunch? (OK, maybe not that last one). As always, email line one is standing by for your comments and questions at show@deckconstruct.com (or click Contact in the menu on the site). Also, why not head over to our forums and talk MTG there? You’ll also find DC in the land of cute fonts and strange site names (aka Web 2.0) at Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.  DC 60 – The Legacy Weekend | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:06

DC has reached yet another show with a zero on the end! Show 60 is now online, and this week it’s all about Legacy. Last weekend was a huge one for Legacy, and the show kicks off with GP Madrid, the biggest Magic tournament ever (so far). I look at some decks that were played and what the event means for Legacy overall. After that we head over to the other side of the pond for a look at the SCG 5K in Richmond, and then back across the water for a quick recap of week 3 of the RLL Season 2. As always email line one is ready for any comments or questions you might have at show@deckconstruct.com. I’d love to hear from you! Alternatively, why not head over to our forums?  DC 59 – Affinity at a GPT, PT San Diego Observations | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 31:24

DC show 59 is now up and ready to go! To start this week’s show, I talk about how the Grand Prix Trial went for last weekend. This was a Legacy GPT for a Legacy GP – Grand Prix Madrid, which is happening this weekend. I took along Affinity, and talk about how I did and what I would change if I were to play the same deck again. After that is a look at Pro Tour San Diego from last weekend, and specifically why I stayed around to watch the Jund vs Jund final when many on Twitter were saying they were clicking the X. As always, email line one is open if you have any comments or questions; please send them to show@deckconstruct.com. Also, the DC forums are open all hours as always, so why not sign up and talk about MTG there? You’ll also find DC on the social network bastions known as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.  DC 58 – Mono Red Dragonstorm, 50 Land, Feb 2010 Dev Chat | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Another Friday, another cold day in London and another episode of DC is now online, namely show 58! This week I take a look at two decks that were recently posted on the DC forums. The first one is Mono Red Dragonstorm, an Extended deck posted by Xanamir, and the second deck is 50 Land, a Standard deck by browncoat. Thanks to both of them for posting the decklists! After that, I discuss some questions from the Wizards dev chat from earlier this week. Three Wizards cardmakers were in the IRC house talking about all things Worldwake, and a few other things not Worldwake. As always, I’d love to hear your questions and comments at show@deckconstruct.com (or just hit the Contact link in the menu). You can also find DC on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr.  DC 57 – Worldwake Pre-release, RLL Season 2 Week 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 26:51

Hmm, it’s Friday. There’s something I should be doing… Oh yes, show 57! OK, it’s now online. This week starts with the traditional recap of the last pre-release, the Worldwake pre-release from a couple of weeks ago. I’d normally do this the week after the event, but I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth postponing to get Dan back on the show last week! After that is a quick look at week 2 of season 2 of the Richmond Legacy League. I couldn’t make it to this one, but lots of people on MagicPlayers.co.uk did. As always you can grab me on email line 1 at show@deckconstruct.com. I’d love to hear your comments or suggestions! Also, why not drop into the forums and discuss MTG there?  DC 56 – The One Where The Co-Host Comes Back | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:22

Show 56 has been thrown into the cassette deck and is ready to play! However, this week, things are a bit different! If you listened to DeckConstruct in 2007 or 2008 (or have listened to the archives), you might remember that Dan used to co-host the show with me. Well, a couple of months ago he told me via email that he’d be stopping by in London on his way to New York City in February. I suggested that we could get together and record a one-off show together. So, a couple of days ago, we did! In the first half of the show, Dan and I have a catchup and a good natter about Standard. In the second half, Dan talks about MTG in Malaysia and why Wizards needs to pay more attention to that part of the world! Email Line 1 is open as always at show@deckconstruct.com for any feedback you might have which, as always, is much appreciated. You’ll also find DC, as always, on the social bastions known as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr. The DC forums are also open for discussion of Magic, life and everything.
