The Annabel Portcast

Annabel is set a new assignment- to befriend Vladamir Putin, and use her friendship to temper his extreme views on homosexuality. She also finds time to read letters from her All Star Postbag, including messages from Kanye West, Vanessa Mae, and Steve McFadden.

Look, I'll level with you here- in this podcast Annabel drops the incredible news that Richard Blackwood is the half brother of Naomi Campbell. I just wanted to give you time to let that sink in, because once you hear that, it might distract you from the rest of the Portcast, and that would be a shame, because it's brilliant.

Annabel gets on with her assignment to stage her own awards ceremony, today sorting out the venue. Despite being vague on the details (number of guests to be between 10 and 800), and asking some very searching questions of the venue (are the windows glazed), she's sorted almost all of it.

Annabel gets started on her new assignment from Geoff- to start a new awards ceremony. Today, she got straight down to business, holding a press conference and announcing nominees though, rather embarrassingly, she's been nominated for a couple herself...

Annabel is set a new assignment this week, and as it's awards season, she's starting the Annabel Awards- who will be picked? What will they be wearing? Who knows? In other parts of this podcast she dives into her All Star Postbag, and bringing letters from Pope, Sylvester Stallone, and Woody Allen with her as she surfaces.

At this early stage in the year, it's a bit too early to be looking ahead to next year, but the good news is you don't have to- for Annabel was tasked with taking on the role of futureologist, and now we already know what's going to happen next year, meaning you can get on with the job of living one day at a time.

Today Annabel finished off her assignment to predict the future which, if you hate surprises, is great news as you'll now know what's going to happen this time next year. She also reads letters from Beyonce, Zara Phillips, and Lady Gaga.

Annabel gets stuck into her assignment like a futurologist gets stuck into making up things about the future, which is lucky, because that's sort of what her assignment is about. If anything, she's better than most futurologists- she's done some research, and as you'll soon discover, lots of them are rubbish.
