The Annabel Portcast

It's exactly a month to go before Christmas, and Geoff sets Annabel a new assignment for the week- to become a good role model for the youth of today. It's nothing to do with Christmas, I don't know why I added that at the start of this description...

Annabel finishes off her assignment to get a character based on her into a soap opera, going as far as to mimic the creator of Breaking Bad whilst speaking to a high-level BBC producer. Usual stuff really.

This week Annabel was set the task of getting a character based as her into a soap opera- brilliant! However, what starts innocently enough ends up with her brazenly lying to an important person at the BBC! (at this point you should hum the "dum dum dum" bit from the end of Eastenders as if it's the end of an episode. Thanks).

Annabel has been liasing with the agents of the rich and famous. Why? Because that's the sort of world she moves in? No, it's because she's trying to secure Minnie Driver to play her character in a soap opera, and it's going pretty well so far...

Annabel gets on with this week's assignment, to get a character in a soap opera based on her. However, upon thinking about it for a while, perhaps her current self isn't the best persona to base the character on...

As is customary, Annabel is set a new assignment for the week. This week she is tasked with getting a character based on her into a soap opera. A tough task for many, but for Annabel it's sure to be a piece of cake.

This week, Annabel has been tasked with writing a story, but not all on her own oh no, she's also had the help of you people out there. And now it's all here, saved in perpetuity, for you to enjoy on some kind of listening device.

In much the same way that the Greek epic poet Homer spun such tales as the Odyssey over days, as listeners sat in quiet rapture, Annabel is weaving her story for the delight of all of you out there. At least I think that's what she meant when she said she wasn't doing it for her benefit...

Annabel metaphorically dusts off her hands to signify a job well done as she finishes this week's assignment, but not being one to rest on her laurels, she reads out some letters from Justin Bieber, Kate Middleton, and Barbara Windsor from her All Star Postbag.

Now that Annabel is a wild child, she needs to start acting all irresponsible. She's got a fake ID, but there's a slight problem with the people in the off licence taking her seriously, despite the documented proof of age...

Annabel gets started with her assignment, and as usual she's made a strong start, from here the only way is up. Probably. Maybe. Doesn't really matter, it's entertaining enough, so why not stop worrying about the outcome and just enjoy the Portcast.
