Summary: Most independent minded Americans realize that Washington DC is corrupt, and is run for the administrative convenience of Wall St. banks and multinational corporations. Republicans and Democrats have let us down time and time again. If the United States are to remain free and democratic, we must save our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Don't let the corporate media and the special interests tell you how to think! They demonize any restraint on federal authority (like Constitutionalism, states-rights, fully informed juries, and the OathKeepers) as racist, extremist, or seditious! Why? Because they are authoritarians at heart who want to run your life and take your money on behalf of the wealthiest people on earth. Ron Paul is America's leading voice for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. If you are disgusted by what corporate interests have gotten away with in recent years, you must understand that it wouldn't have been possible without government complicity. A small government cannot pass out favors to cronies, and therefore representatives are less likely to be corrupted. Don't allow the media to convince you that libertarian ideals are quaint, bizarre, or anachronistic. Don't allow the likes of the ADL and Southern Poverty Law Center to get away with saying that you're a racist if you believe you've been taxed enough and you think the borders should be secured. Dr. Paul represents a return to common sense in government, and to the freedom that allowed such great prosperity in our country. So take a listen to Congressman Paul's words as he is interviewed by the media, gives speeches to students and supporters, and debates ideological foes. The candidate forum was held at the Mesa Arts Center, in Mesa, AZ - and the event was principally moderated by John King. You won't hear it from the agenda-setting MSM, but many unbiased viewers believe that Dr. Paul actually won this debate- taking his criticisms right to The Smiling Authoritarian (Sanitorium), himself: "He's a fake!" As he so often does, Rep. Paul spoke past the political paradigm, addressing subject like illegal immigration, birth control and the morality of the people, the oath of office, and instigating aggression against the Iranians. The four remaining contenders for the Republican nomination met once more in Mesa on Wednesday for the CNN and Arizona GOP Debate. The forum is quite possibly the final one of the 2012 election cycle, and the last before super Tuesday. The candidates took the stage in front of 1600+ at the Mesa Art Center ( in the following order, from left to right): Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich. The debate was principally moderated by CNN's John King, who predictably played up the Romney vs. Santorum horse-race. Much of the debate was focused on the candidate's records, as well as significant discussion on earmarks, birth control, taxes, and the super-scary Iranian threat. This file includes the entire debate, made available free of charge to anyone interested. I only ask that the listener get to know Ron Paul! On Wednesday morning, the Congressman held a Breakfast with Ron Paul fundraiser at the Hilton in Mesa, Arizona. For $250 per plate (quite modest by political standards), guests heard Dr. Paul deliver some remarks as they enjoyed a delicious breakfast. On Monday the 20th of February, Adam Kokesh, Nathan Cox, and the grassroots Veterans for Ron Paul group held a rally and march in support of Ron Paul's campaign for President. At least 500 veterans and active duty soldiers traveled to the nation's capitol to visibly express their support for Dr. Paul- the Presidential candidate who far and away receives the most campaign donations from the active duty military (over 70%, including Pres. Obama). Many veterans and prominent liberty activists took to the stage at the rally to vocally support the Congressman, and express their displeasure at the bipartisan consensus that is the foreign policy of the United State government. An impressive sight, the battalion sized element then marched to the White House, stood in silence to honor all those who have died since Obama has taken office, and then turned "about face"- signifying their repudiation of the Nobel-laureate's militaristic policies. Some of the audio at the rally is less than perfect (they seemed to struggle with feedback/distortion in the PA system at times). Of course, the national media largely ignored the gathering (save a few web articles and the like)- wouldn't want to upset the corporate narrative and the left-right paradigm. Congressman Ron Paul stumped for a second straight day in North Dakota on Monday, stopping by the District 12 Convention in Jamestown. Dr. Paul was introduced to the hundreds in the crowd at the Knights of Columbus by ND Gov. In this week's Texas Straight Talk update, Rep. Ron Paul warned that fiscal conservatism doesn't stop at the water's edge, nor does every dollar spent on militarism promote a strong national defense! The American people must determine for themselves how best to defend the nation- the technocrats and politicians won't tell you. But Ron Paul has a suggestion: Defend America, Not the World! On Sunday, Congressman Ron Paul visited Williston, North Dakota as a guest of the North Dakota Policy Council to participate in a kind of town hall forum, entitled: Freedom 101: The Basics. Even on A Sunday night, the auditorium at Williston High School was filled with approximately 800 people (according to the Williston Herald). Ron Paul joined CNN's Candy Crowley during Sunday's broadcast of State of the Union to talk about his supposedly lagging delegate count, the long, slow road into economic fascism, and whether Rick Sanatorium is a conservative who could beat Obama. I must have missed this interview- conducted back in mid-February (during the weekend of CPA 2012, and in the midst of the Maine caucus fiasco). Time and time again, Sarah Palin has come to Dr. Paul's defense when asked about his policies on the talk show circuit. This interview was conducted by broadcaster and grassroots supporter of Palin's, Mr. Kevin Scholla, during his own Presidential Interview Series for The Palin Update. Thousands of people turned out for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Saturday night at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Paul talked about a range of issues from bringing troops home to end costly wars to promoting self government. This is the speech that received some attention from the media, when the Congressman warned that we are slipping into a fascist system. Congressman Ron Paul hosted a major rally in Boise, Idaho on Friday afternoon at CenturyLink Arena. According to the Idaho Press-Tribune, roughly 2500 people came to the quickly organized event to hear the Congressman out on his limited government message. Many in the crowd were already on board with the r3VOLution- wearing pins and holding signs for Ron Paul 2012. This audio file includes introductory speeches and 44 minutes of Ron Paul. Republican presidential candidate, Ron Paul, addressed a large crowd in downtown Spokane on Friday night, hoping to earn their vote for the upcoming Washington State Republican caucus on March 3rd. According to KXLY.com (ABC - Spokane, WA), over 2500 liberty enthusiasts packed the Spokane Convention Center. Spokane county treasurer, Rob Chase, started the rally off with brief introductions calling for civic involvement to bring people out to the polls and gain support for Paul. Spokane Valley state Rep. Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul spoke to a larger-than-expected crowd Friday night at the University of Idaho in Moscow. Rep. Ron Paul spoke to over 1000 interested locals and other supporters at the Hilton Hotel in Vancouver, Washington- a suburb of Portland, OR. This week, Congressman Ron Paul has remained largely under the radar- save the vote fraud controversy that followed last weekend's Maine caucus. As of Saturday afternoon, the votes have been cast in Washington County, Maine- and Ron Paul won the county. Unfortunately, the votes were not enough to make up the gap between Dr. Paul and Mittens Romney. We could have used those headlines! Without them, coverage of our campaign has largely dried up on the major networks. But I will continue to find and post all the coverage I can find for the Weekly Update. The Congressman continues to campaign out west in advance of Super Tuesday. He will be moving on to Kansas and North Dakota, before traveling on to Arizona next week.
