Summary: The four remaining contenders for the Republican nomination met once more in Mesa on Wednesday for the CNN and Arizona GOP Debate. The forum is quite possibly the final one of the 2012 election cycle, and the last before super Tuesday. The candidates took the stage in front of 1600+ at the Mesa Art Center ( in the following order, from left to right): Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich. The debate was principally moderated by CNN's John King, who predictably played up the Romney vs. Santorum horse-race. Much of the debate was focused on the candidate's records, as well as significant discussion on earmarks, birth control, taxes, and the super-scary Iranian threat.
