A killer rerun from 2004! It sorta kinda captures the madness of that week-long weirdness-fest, 7X-Day. This legendary gathering of the Saved in rural New York State was officiated by such luminaries as Dr. Philo Drummond, Colonel Sphinx Drummond, Dr. G. Gordon Gordon, Little Fyodor & Babushka, Rev. Susie the Floozie, The Swingin' Love Corpses, Popess Lilith, Rev. Alex Thompson, and The Amino Acids; also a lot of great SubGenius radio from Puzzling Evidence, Radio Synaesthesia and Lymph Node Institute.

This one's pretty rant-heavy. Onan advises Rev. Funnyname, and reads from SubGenius Pamphlet #1. Rev. Stang reads from Ken's Guide to The Bible and from a Hypercube rant. Dr. Hal and Dr. Philo Drummond do "show" at the 21X-Day Drill. Music comes from Chip the Black Boy and The Psycho Skeletons.

Some of the best from our large hoard of prank call tapes. Many snippets of the infamous "Arnie and Barney Vs. Binny" tapes are featured, plus "Calls to Okies" and "The Drunk Preacher." Interspersed are some of the WEIRDEST tunes from some mystery collection of po'bucker music, plus Doktorz 4 "Bob" and The Swingin' Love Corpses. Some preaching by the great Dr. G. Gordon Gordon and Sister Velveteen Sly, both from the second Chicago SubConvention; likewise some Puzzling Evidence. An orgy of lowbrow hijinks!

This is one HELL of a rerun, since much of it takes place in Hell. Much of it comes from a rip-roaring live ESO Swamp Radio show of the year 2000 or so, and it's a wonderful example of the days when Prof. Chas Smith was still alive and producing amazing improv shows. He, Rev. Stang, Princess Wei and the Lonesome Cowboy were particularly inspired on this one, and it's hard to believe none of it was scripted. We sure were FASTER back in those days... One of our very favorite oldies!

This one's an all chock-a-block mash-up of mash-ups, with some novel video/audio mash-ups by Bill McClintock -- expert combinations of popular music from disparate periods in time and styles. Smushed in also are excerpts from fired-up SubGenius devival rants & Bold Surrealist radio shows such as Puzzling Evidence, Time for the Show and the Maul-Brujaja duo. There's also media barrages, new music by The Psycho Skeletons & Massive Hotdog Recall, & Brother Cleve Dunkan's great Dobbs hymn, ""Bob" Is My Load".

All the insane-sounding collages of "Bob" Dobbs bulldada come from the great Fernandinande LeMur. Some ranting about the War on God is by Stang and Einstein's Secret Orchestra in the Pufferdome at Starwood Festival of 2000. A Puzzling Evidence clip with Dr. Hal talking about the hot link of X-Day is even older, the 1980s, and we hear Nenslo's great song "There's a Feller Down in Texas", recorded at a big devival in the 1990s. All the rest is a chat with Lonesome Cowboy Dave, covering everything and nothing.

A little new, a lot of old. SubGenius ranters of yore include Onan Canobite, Stang, ESO Swamp Radio (Chas Smith and Lonesome Cowboy Dave), Dr. Hal, Dr. Philo Drummond, Rev. Velveteen Sly and Rev. Heidi (of Psychoaccoustics on WORT-Madison), and Pope Sternodox with Drs. 4 "Bob." Lots of old Media Barrage #3 too! New jabber comes from Overlord Anna Maul with Dr. Brujaja, and Massive Hotdog Recall.

NEW REVELATIONS FROM "BOB" HIMSELF!!! Plus: The documentary film about us, "J.R. "Bob" Dobbs and The Church of the SubGenius," directed by Sandy Boone, had a very enthusiastic reception from audiences and reviewers at its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival! Sandy tricked us into parading down the street holding signs and preaching loudly to the unsaved, and also into performing an impromptu mini-devival in the outdoor yard of the George Washington Carver Museum. And: THE MUTRON science lecture.

This one's a continuation of last week's show composed of three shows, starting with Part Two of the interview about that SubGenius movie with Stang and Sandy Boone. Following that: the last 8 minutes of Dr. Philo Drummond on the Puzzling Evidence show before he left California. And, more of that horrible Time for the Show show, where Stang had to call in using sketchy wifi, which made for weird drunken-sounding time lags. Also: the soundtrack of the trailer for the documentary movie about the Church!

First up is Dr. Philo Drummond's last in-person Puzzling Evidence appearance, from June 2017. Next up is part of an Austin radio show, Lights Camera Austin, with Rev. Stang and director Sandy Boone being interviewed about the SubGenius documentary movie (premiering at SXSW in March). Finally there's the beginning of a very strange Time for the Show show, with Rev. Stang calling in. Also: a Massive Hotdog Recall sign about America's first transgender mayor, and a new sermon by Uncle Dr. Onan Canobite.

This Hour of Slack is actually SOMEBODY ELSE'S SHOW, an hour-long interview with Dr. Philo Drummond. Last summer, our friend Rev. Snappy Twig recorded this historic interview -- historic because you hardly ever get to hear Philo without other radio doctors jumping from subject to subject, and I think it better reveals the way Dr. Drummond's minds work now, and worked when the SubGenius outreach was first being planned.

New music!. Fresh! Hip! Well, maybe not hip. And the musicians themselves are not especially fresh. But the songs ARE! For instance, Massive Hotdog Recall -- with a name like that, and the only trombone solos in the rock genre, how can one go wrong? Also some Rainmakers/Walkenhorst, and some Kings of Feedback. Stang reads some sparkling new rants from Onan Canobite and Zigmunt Figment. Stang and Lonesome Cowboy Dave ramble around by phone, sticking to important subjects, just like in the olden days!

It's Old Coots Night again, but mixed up with music and radio theater: Rev. Priest's new song, Morgan Gutentag's song with a gimmick; The Psycho Skeletons; and we hear a classic Bleepo Abernathy Earworm, "On and Off the Road with "Bob." Bleepo whips out a "bit" he did in 1979, and premieres a new Bleepo Earworm. Church Secrets are revealed. Onan's "Advice to Rev. Funnyname"! Cripes, these three codgers might as well be sitting on a bench outside the old courthouse, whittlin', spittin', and bullshittin'.

Lonesome Cowboy Dave called in sick, so Stang called in Doktors: Dr. Philo Drummond (co-SubFounder of the Church, OverMan First Degree), and Rev. Bleepo Abernathy, radio professional and character actor. The show starts with one ancient song by each, and then it's another of those "two old guys talking" shows, except it's three old guys with Captain Beefheart instrumentals in the background.
