Catch my Killer show

Catch my Killer

Summary: At any given time in the world, there are thousands of unsolved murders. Most of them will never be solved. The first 48 hours of a homicide are the most crucial to an investigation. Eventually, leads dry up, witnesses become less cooperative, and cases go cold (unsolved). Meanwhile, detectives continue receiving new homicide cases which push older ones to the back. After a case goes cold, it quickly becomes yesterday’s news. The public and the media will forget about the crime and move onto the next crime story. But do you know who won’t forget about a cold case? The victim’s family and friends. They won’t forget because their case is more than a case file or news story. The victims were sons, fathers, mothers, daughters, or friends. Catch my Killer is a podcast that focuses on the victim's surviving family and friends who give a voice to those who no longer have one. If you are listening and can help bring a killer to justice, please call in your tips. Even the smallest clue could be large enough to break a case wide open.  Episode 1: The Steven Conlon homicide | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2641

In 2016, a mother named Sheryl Conlon experienced the loss of her youngest son Steven. Someone had shot and stabbed him to death. Today, police have arrested no one for his death. In this episode, Sheryl Conlon, will share information about this cold case. She believes the murder was personal and committed by someone close to him. During the interview, she mentions the name of the person she believes was involved in her son’s murder. But she cannot prove this. For this story, I have edited out this person’s name as we must presume innocence unless proven guilty by a court of law. Steven had spent his life in Colorado. He loved being a father to his children and enjoyed cooking. He had goals of making it in the hospitality profession. After receiving a career cooking opportunity in Utah. Steve accepted the position and moved to Utah. Unfortunately, someone murdered him shortly after he arrived in Utah. If you are listening to this and have information about this case, I request that you contact West Jordan police at 801-840-4000 and reference case No. 16H011451. Please also keep in mind that you can remain anonymous. For this story, I emailed the West Jordan police department and asked if I could speak to someone about this case. I received no response. Also, if you are someone in law enforcement or the friend or loved one of someone who needs justice for a cold case, please contact me through my website or email me at catchmykiller@gmail.com.
